Hawley Air had been recommended to us, so we decided to contact them to see if we could have them out on Friday before we left. I sent a text Thursday night and received a response Friday morning asking to call. I called and left a VM and got a call back shortly. The rep I spoke with was very friendly, got all our details and said dispatch would reach out to schedule. Jacob Gray and Steven Morgan were at our house within an hour. They worked quickly and efficiently, locating the issue on our HVAC, discussing our options, and fixing the problem. After fixing the issue they looked at every part of our system, both heating and AC, to ensure there were no other issues. They found nothing, and they ensured us we had a 30 day warranty on their work and review. I had a subscription set up with the previous company and we still got pushed to the bottom of their list when we had issues. I signed up for Hawley Air's subscription and they assured us that with their plan, we'll be moved to the top of the list if we have issues. Ive been debating on this review for a year. I will relay the facts of my encounter with Webb. So…read moreabout this time last year (Nov 2021) i contacted Webb to service my oil furnace. At the time, they were running a heating/cooling service special for about $225. I purchased it. A young man came out and went into the basement to look at the furnace. I expected a new nozzle, maybe a filter as the furnace I have is, one of the best if not THE best oil furnaces you can buy. He came up with pictures of what I remember him calling the heat transfer chamber. There was so soot (ash) in the picture and he said it needed to be cleaned for the furnace to function properly. He further stated that he could not do it but that Webb had recently purchased a company that specializes in cleaning furnaces for approximately $375. You know how you get an instant feeling sometimes that something isn't right? Well, that feeling hit me like a bolt of lightning. I was polite and took the number of their new company and I immediately called another heating company and had them come out. I wanted a second opinion before I shelled out $375. Turns out the ash was approximately 2 inches deep in a 24-inch deep chamber. He told me IN NO WAY did this need to be cleaned out for the furnace to work properly, much less charging someone $375 to do it. He got a vacuum, sucked out the ash and the whole second opinion cost me $90 with NO CHARGE for ash removal. It pays to follow your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. I was so upset at this that I deliberately did not schedule the second half of my package deal for Webb to service my heat pump for summer. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Let's just say trust is earned, not blindly given. So I will leave this here for you to make of it what you will. I will NOT be calling Webb for anything.
