After around 30 minutes or less, the guys were done. Since then I have had ZERO issues with the dryer and should have gotten this done when I bought the house. Good service, I would use them again.

I will spare you pictures of the "before" but believe me when I say it was horrific. Late last night I googled Stanley Steemer and the Winston Salem location came up. I got an online quote of $150 that would include one bedroom and one hallway. I scheduled an appointment for the very next day with an arrival window of 12-5:00. I called on the day of the appointment just to confirm. She was very polite, well spoken and helpful and we were all set. I opted in for texting and when they were on the way, I got a text with his GPS trackable location and name. Sawandi arrived around 1:00. He was all smiles and introduced himself. He came in, talked about what he would do and explained the after care instructions. He also said $150 is the minimum but there was enough room to add bacteria killing sanitizer and freshener. Yes please! I can't go in yet because it needs 24-48 hours to dry but it looks great and it smells clean, not even a hint of the previous odor. It smells light and fresh without being too perfumey. I took an after picture of a small section. I highly recommend this company and if you need anything done, ask for Sawandi Kirby. He was fantastic.

We had the air handler cleaned and an air scrubber installed. I have used Hawley Air for years, but things have severely slipped…read more In late July, I paid them to service both my cooling and heating systems. The technician signed off, stating everything was operating perfectly. At the time, I asked them to check on a UV light I'd had installed years ago to prevent mold in the system, because I'd heard nothing about it despite having Hawley inspect and work on my system regularly for years. They had failed to notice that the UV light bulb was completely burned out. When I asked for an estimate to replace it, they sent me an invoice wanting to charge an outrageous $500 just to change a lightbulb. Much worse, the moment the first cold week arrived less than 90 days later, my heat wouldn't turn on at all due to a broken draft inducer motor. This motor sits completely idle all summer. According to 2 HVAC techs I've spoken with, that means it's likely that the Hawley technician skipped the heating test entirely in July, took my money, and signed off anyway. When I contacted customer service about these issues, they said they'd escalate it to the owner, but instead ignored me for a week. When I followed up, they refused to do anything to make it right. Instead, they hid behind company policies and tried to charge me another $99 diagnostic fee just to come back out. But hey. At least they wished me a "blessed day." [insert rolled eyes emoji here] Leaving a long-term customer with no heat right before winter because your tech didn't do their job is unacceptable. Do not trust them with your home.

I want to share my experience with Carolina Ductmasters so others can make informed decisions…read more After their work was completed, I later discovered that ductwork in my attic had been left disconnected. Over time, this may have allowed fiberglass insulation to be pulled into the system and circulate through my home. During this period, members of my household experienced skin irritation and breathing discomfort, which led us to investigate further and pursue repairs. The extent of the issue was not immediately apparent. When I raised concerns, communication was limited. The work appeared incomplete, and some equipment was left behind. Although I was told the entire system had been cleaned, the main trunk line did not appear to have been accessed. Management indicated that the issues would be addressed and mentioned possible refunds for service and replacement of some affected items, but these were not ultimately provided. I also requested proof of liability insurance, but it was not provided to me. Recommendations for others: * Verify liability insurance before hiring * Consider monitoring attic work when possible * Ask for clear explanations of what areas will be cleaned or serviced. This review reflects my personal experience and observations and is shared so others can be aware of potential concerns when hiring.

We set up a time and they spent close to 2 hours removing all lint - they video the work so you can see before and after as well as what they took out! They also let me know there was an issue with the roof vent in our townhouse (and you really shouldn't vent to the roof unless you have to) which we will address.
