After charging me $640 for less than an hours work to replace the start up capacitor and a contactor on 6/17 (each part costs less than $30) the system has quit cooling again the evening of 6/22. Logan returned and thankfully got my a/c running before the heatwave hit. They eventually gave me a refund so my total cost was a much more reasonable $225. read more

Stay away from this business. If you dont pay their "service contract fees" then forget getting them to come out to help when their equipment goes down. We have had service contracts with them for many many years. Bought literally thousands of dollars of HVAC equipment from them. Since we never really used the service contract it lapsed accidentally, (I would have renewed it but not now). I called yesterday to try to get someone to look at the HVAC, today I was told today that I wasn't a priority customer (I guess 20 years just doesn't count with this company) and they couldn't get someone to look at the equipment until sometime next week - while our family is away. So my advice to you is DONT COUNT ON LOGAN. They are definitely not a company trying hard for people that have been loyal customers for many years. They are a corporate swamp monster that wants your membership fees and then maybe they will give you the time of the day. I will say when we first had the HVAC installed years ago, when they were still small and hungry to provide good service, they were terrific, but not anymore. Avoid like the plague! read more

Ricardo came out to replace a condensation pump that was replaced 3 years ago by Logan. He left open wires right under the condensation pump. No capping or electrical tape used. Called the office and that was just a sorry experience. Left several messages and Christy, the office mgr. stated she called me back which was an outright lie. No record of missed call or voicemail. I requested someone come and check Ricardo's work. In the meantime, my son capped all open wires and used electrical tape. Finally called back again and they knew I was angry so she answered. Christy stated she would give me credit on my card but she never did. Called again on Friday, and guess what? After waiting for 10 minutes she was on another line. I won't be using them ever again. I was left with a $700 bill for a $60 part. Pathetic. I feel they should've credited me for the labor since Ricardo didn't know what he was doing and my son had to go behind him and fix everything. read more

Logan came to our rescue when we found the tech with the company we had been using prior had no clue what he was doing. Our HVAC unit had to be entirely replaced due to lack of maintenance from the prior homeowner. Logan's sales rep., Adam Suggs, came in, listened to all our problems which included concerns about moisture and smell as well as the unit replacement we needed. He explained everything to us in a way we could understand. It helped us to make the most informed decision possible for such a large investment. He also saved us $4K as a competitor's quote to replace the unit was that much higher than Logan's - and we also are purchasing a higher quality unit with Logan than that competition. A real win-win. Overall, we are very impressed with their service thus far and truly appreciate them taking a bad situation and helping us work through it as best as possible. read more

I had troubles with the AC unit on my house that I had recently purchased. I called them to come take a look and bought into their maintenance plan. I then had additional issues which I had researched and found a possible cause. I called them, due to being on their maintenance plan. After 4 visits, from their service techs, with various repairs being suggested and performed (none of which were my suggested repair), I finally had to call and threaten them with legal action. They sent their head service person out who determined that the cause of the issues was exactly what I had suggested previously. Ended up costing me much more than it should have and left me with a hole in my wall. Even though this episode happened in 2008-2009 time frame, I will not use them any more. read more

An excellent experience from start to finish! Logan installed a 22KW Generac home-house generator for me in March of 2019. It was one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in the world of HVAC and electrical contractors. Dale -- who came out and developed the estimate -- was knowledgeable and explained the whole process. Christi -- the installation scheduler -- kept me updated throughout the installation. The best part was the installation crew -- David, Jeremy and Jay were so willing to engage and friendly that I had to make myself leave them alone so they could work. They did an excellent job of cleaning up after their work and kept me informed. When they had to come into the house, they were careful not to track in mud. The two men who handled the gas line installation (Roger and Kevin) were every bit a good as the crew installing the generator. A great experience. DID NOT SHOW UP ON TIME OR EVER!!! Was looking for a reliable HVAC company for my personal home and rental portfolio so decided to have Logan Home Energy Service do my regular maintenance at my home. Firstly they are booking a month out when I called in May. My appointment was rescheduled to 4 - 6 pm and the technician called at 7pm to reschedule for the following week. The next appointment was 3-5pm and the technician never showed up. After taking time off work for both appointments without so much as a courtesy call I guess they do not need mine or YOUR business. read more

Sept. 2016 Logan put in a high efficiency Carrier gas furnace and a Carrier central AC unit. In 2 years the units have stopped 4 times. The first time I called in 2017, I was charged $67.25 for a tech to push a reset button that they didn't ask/tell me about. The condensate pump lasted about 1 1/2 years. When the technician put on a new one, he did not connect it to the furnace, which led to another call. I was given a Honeywell thermostat (one year warranty) instead of a Carrier thermostat (five year warranty) Also,when I contacted them in July, 2018, they had one 2 star rating and one 5 star rating review; then, suddenly they had 17 five star reviews from yelp after I contacted Carrier. Being classified as a Carrier Authorized Dealer means nothing! Carrier does not take responsibility for their dealers work. I will never allow Logan Heating and Air in my house again. I first chose Logan Heating and Air because they were advertised in our church bulletin. My husband and I like to give our business to local businesses and felt a member of our church would definitely be a safe bet. I signed with them for a service contract, one visit in the spring and one in the fall. Their first visit, they didn't have a filter to fit our main floor unit, so no harm, that happens, they said they would deliver it within the week. It never came...again at the second visit, they didn't have the same filter and said they would deliver it within the week, again it didn't come. My husband made them make a note of the two filters owed us. I also used them at my rental property, service contract....first visit cost me $149, that's no discount and they wanted to replace a secondary drip pan for $1400!!!!! I said no thanks!! Our upstairs unit at our residence then let go one month after their maintenance visit. When I called for a service appointment the service girl immediately started to argue with me that they had NOT done maintenance for the Heat in September. I was annoyed that she was arguing when all I wanted was someone to fix my heat. Needless to say, Logan wanted to charge me $1300 for a new motor!!!!!! The tech wasn't out of my driveway and I found a better HVAC company where the motor cost with installation was going to be $300 less!!! Lesson here.........look around you probably can do better than Logan Heating and Air. read more

I called this morning because the HVAC unit was making ominous noises in this hot, humid weather, and they were able to send someone the same day. Not only did their technician quickly diagnose and fix the problem, he also was able to answer my general questions about the unit and whether it was worth repair. I have an average knowledge of HVAC and decent grasp of electricity, so I'd have know if he was taking me for a ride. We have an annual contract with Logan and apparently having same-day service is more likely if you have one. The tech was super nice and didn't treat me like an idiot because I'm a woman. As a woman, my experiences with Logan have always been great! read more
