*DISHONEST* AC went out, called Brady Flanary to come look at it. Charged $140 to do diagnostic on a sunday. they then charged me over $240 to replace a capacitor (which they called a "power pack") which can be bought on Amazon for $10.. I'm serious the part they replaced is a JARD brand part #12783 if you google that its $10 they charged me $404 total for something I could have googled and fixed myself. Oh and he was at my house less than 30 min total. he pulled off a panel held on by two 8mm screws and the capacitor is right there. I was being proactive so I called several companies to get a quote to replace my AC\Furnace. Patrick was full of information and did what I feel was an excellent job in perform a load on my home to provide me with the best system for me. Even though Brady Flanary wasn't the lowest quote nor the highest, I feel that the quote given to me was best for my home. Patrick and Martin replaced my entire system in about 6 hours. They replaced a couple of ducts to provide more efficient air flow to a bedroom and my living room. After they completed, Patrick sat with me to explain all the work that was done. I found it very difficult to get a response from this company. My home warranty provider questioned the price of the motor replacement and I went to them several times to question the flat rate pricing that included the cost of an OEM motor. It was difficult to get a response and I constantly spoke with Patience. She was very kind, but unable to provide the customer satisfaction I requested. She did say the service manager would call me back, I found myself calling back and still unable to speak with him. I take ownership for this as well. I know nothing about HVAC repairs, and relied on them. After the fact I did research and found the total of $948 charged for a motor replacement much higher than the national average. I will say their repair staff was nice, office staff was nice. management is not equipped to deal with customers and their needs and they seem to be more interested in the bottom line. It was a disappointing experience after spending nearly $1000 on something that could have been correctly for much less money. Next time I will research more. I wanted to save someone else money and time over my valuable lesson. read more

Their technicians are 100% professional and super competent, and the company's service is A-1 and they stand by their work, all of which add up to why never haven given any thought to trying another HVAC company. We have been working with Brady Flanary HVAC for a number of years for maintenance on our two units. Even though my parents had a less than optimal experience on a new unit installed, I did not change to another company. I always suspected that they overcharged on simple services and calls but in fairness, their technicians seemed responsive and informed.......until now. We have one older unit upstairs that requires a little more TLC and one newer unit downstairs. We've had Brady Flanary perform regular maintenance on these units each year. On Friday the regular maintenance was performed, but instead of one of the seasoned technicians familiar with our home, we were visited by a very young, inexperienced maintenance technician, sporting no tools to accommodate any potential need for Freon, etc. He said the units "were in good shape and working well--nothing was needed." Less than two days later, we awoke to no air conditioning upstairs. We called Brady Flanary, who sent out another technician to service the unit, and added 4 1/2 pounds of Freon. This is a lot of Freon for a unit just passed as "working well, no issues." Off the technician went, after attesting that the unit, now charged up with Freon, was properly cooling. The next morning, same thing. Awoke to no air conditioning.....again. Mind you we were already at $318 for the regular maintenance trip, which arguably could have started the problem, then add another $410 for Freon the Sunday after the Friday maintenance trip. So by the third trip on Monday, we are in over $725 for maintenance and repairs and still no working air. The third technician arriving on Monday proclaimed the coil was leaking, he couldn't repair it, couldn't add any more Freon. So why was the $400 worth of Freon added the day before?! A leak test is far cheaper than Freon, which obviously did not fix the problem. The call this morning came with the resolution of "your coil replacement will be close to $2500 and there will be NO adjustment to ANY of the previous, unsatisfactory service calls. So, within 3 days' time, we went from a working air conditioner to a broken unit immediately after maintenance, we are out $725, and no chance to resolve the issue without replacing the coil?! Is this how a reputable company does business?! I think not. I wish I had paid more attention to the treatment my parents got a couple years back and decided on a better HVAC company. read more

Our heating unit went out a few days before a big snowstorm was forecast for the area. The Brady-Flanary team spent all day working on it and did get it temporarily running. We decided to get a new unit as our other was over 20 years old and would still need more parts to keep it running, so they scheduled to put it in 2 days later. The next day as the forecast for the storm got worse they called me to see about going ahead and getting it installed that day, because they were concerned our old unit wouldn't last the weekend. They stayed until 8:30 that night getting the new unit in and running. We would like to thank the whole team and would recommend Brady-Flanary heating and air conditioning to anyone. read more
