Before finding him, I had been told by other providers that filler was the answer for the unevenness under my eyes. Unfortunately, it only made things worse. After consulting with Dr. Joseph, I finally understood that what I actually needed was a lower blepharoplasty--not filler. That surgery completely refreshed my appearance while still looking incredibly natural. Friends would tell me I looked well-rested, and I honestly felt like I looked 10 years younger. As I approached 43, I noticed my upper eyelids had begun resting on my lash line. My eyes constantly looked tired, and my makeup routine had gone from about 7 minutes to nearly 30 because I was trying so hard to make my eyes look more open and awake. I knew it was time to go back to Dr. Joseph for an upper blepharoplasty. Just like my first experience, everything was exceptional. His office is one of the most organized and caring medical practices I've ever worked with. The communication before, during, and after surgery was incredibly thorough, and they made me feel supported every step of the way. They even surprised me by sending a beautiful bouquet of flowers to my home after surgery--a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects the kind of practice they run. The surgery itself was far easier than I had imagined. I was much more nervous than I needed to be. I never even needed Tylenol afterward, and my recovery was remarkably quick. When the receptionist (phone attendant) finally returned she said the doctor would not see my husband, he only sees surgery patients. How she knew he would not be one is one of life mysteries, perhaps she went to medical school during that wait time. She then informed me he could see the optometrist, not the medical doctor. WOW. I did not get her name, wish I did, but I would steer WAY far from any office that hires people like this. Perhaps they are not interested in growing their practice. Either way, a huge red flag.

Scheduling was convenient and location is great with easy parking. Dr Lopez saw me right on time, very patient and discussed my eye health history in great detail. He is ofc very experienced but at the same time very approachable. The assistant staff is extremely helpful with pre-exam tests plus scheduling changes. I also got some good advice ordering new prescription lenses via my insurance. I will update this review for completeness once I receive my prescription lenses. But for now, I am certainly glad I have this option in Tustin versus driving miles in traffic to either Irvine or Newport Beach.
