Went in to get a late morning acai bowl today. Right after ordering I went into the car to ask my gf something (who was waiting in the car) and to check something on my phone figuring I had some time while the bowl was being made. Within like a minute to my surprise the tall, waif-model woman working there finished making the bowl and was kind enough to bring it out to the car! And the bowl tasted great to boot. Wow! I marvel at the efficiency, execution and price points of the chain store smoothie behemoth that is jamba juice. I used to (and still do) go to mostly the little local upstart spots for smoothies and bowls. Problem is sometimes the service is ridiculously slow--I've waited literally 15 minutes for a bowl to be made by some smartphone obsessed teen. Jamba Juice, great. Kyle, an employee at this location, is horrible. They need to fire him like seriously. He's a disgusting worker. Doesn't know what the hell yes doing behind the register. If i can tell you one thing about Him, He's a disgusting human being. He's lazy, and i think he ultimately thinks he's better than everyone else but truthfully he's bottom of the food chain. Items are about $10 each, so it's not the most cost efficient, but with them being around the corner from my gym, it's hard to resist. Seating is incredibly limited here, so take your goodies to go. I sat outside after my order was ready. Service (3/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience. You order at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. The employee working wasn't too friendly and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. All good. It happens. Drinks (N/A): While they have a good number of smoothies, I went with an acai bowl instead. Food (2/5): I'll start things off by saying I'm a big acai bowl fan. I've had them at so many locations that I've lost count. This was the worst acai bowl I had. I went with one of their seasonal selections that had an acai base, strawberries, bananas, "granola," and honey. Man, where to start. The acai base was on the lower side quality wise compared to what I've had pretty much elsewhere. I even found an ice cube in my acai. That was a first. The "granola," rather than being the standard granola you have everywhere, was partially rice krispies or something similar to that. I was super confused. And then when it came to the fruit, there were a total of five strawberry slices in my bowl. That's less than one strawberry. I don't know if I caught them on an off night or if this is the norm. Robeks has several locations across town. If you download their app, you get a discount on your first purchase. Which I'll think about doing. Outside of that, I don't think I'll return.
