Hmmm... smoothies and milkshakes admittedly loss popularity when Beach goers realized the amount of sugar in the drink sometimes doubles a burger and fries. Alarming, I can imagine. But there is a point I must remind our health-crazed population, smoothies and milkshakes are not suppose to be an addiction (medical science classifies addiction as anything you do once or more times every week). That ends the science portion of this review. I offer 5-stars for this Jamba Juice. Because even with being surrounded by enemies like, "all natural" Juice Bars, Bolba shoppes, and mom and pop's coffee shops," this place delivers and perseveres. That in itself deserves patronage, or you can go to a place that judges you as you walk in (if you're not a regular the service and quality of product never quite matches the description. And don't get me started with the picture. I enjoy Bolba, trying interesting creations at mom and pop's shoppes, and when I am convinced or looking to try something new an "all-natural," juice bar deserves a must-try. Or I can order online and get my wheatgrass shot with a perfect sliced orange in a chilled cup and lid and my drink made with coffee, chocolate, coconut water, and vitamins prepared and waiting to be picked up. I tried to order my smoothies online. The options weren't available so I decided to walk in. I was ignored for 10 minutes as I watched two employees make smoothies and wash dishes and three customers enter kiosk orders in front of me. Then finally the dishwasher came over and said "cash or card". I said card and explained I tried to order online but was unable to choose what I wanted, she mumbled something and went back to prepping smoothies and washing dishes. After another 5 minutes and 8 new mobile orders in front of me, I left. Please either fix your online choices or train your people. From pastries to smoothie bowls to ginger shots and more. The place was clean and fairly quiet when I arrived. The staff helped me choose what smoothie I should get as this was my first time here. The watermelon breeze smoothie was AMAZING sweet smooth and refreshing. I noticed they have a pretty rewarding point system for those that have the app including 50% off and other deals. We happened to be in the area and of course I'm wanting my usual... the pomegranate pick me up! This used to be my go to location when I lived in the area. I'd pick up a Jamba and then run my errands... even a few stops in Mira Mesa would take hours! A Jamba eases the pain of picking up a few items here and there and it taking forever! This location offers a free large smooth with a purchase of a tumbler... and a 10% discount when you bring it back each time! Not a bad incentive. Store is small but clean. Staff is nice. Parking is crazy since it's in a shared lot with Starbucks, Rubio's, Coldstone, Dave's Hot chicken and Pick Up Stix. We have a counter dedicated to our protein shakes and smoothies we make at home. However when we have games and tournaments out of state we love to grab a quick smoothie if we can. So happy this location is just down the street, about 7 min away from the gym my son's tournament was at! Decided to stop by JJ on my only day off, I had ordered a simple Açaí bowl, the guy at the cash register was very welcoming but the girl who made the bowl was for some reason rude. She shoved my bowl across the counter and didn't think much of it. Got home to enjoy my bowl only to find a hair in it, she just so happened to the only brunette girl in the store. I ordered the greens and ginger and it was soooo sweet all i could taste was sugar, I had to throw it out. I think it was lemonade from the grocery store and it tasted like they added sugar to it. I understand it is hot outside but I think the store should make a better way for people to form a line with following the protocols that is placed due to covid. One word to describe this Jamba location: inconsistent. My regular order is a large Mango-a-go-go and I always ask them to make it thick. Depending on who is working, my smoothie always comes out looking and tasting different. Today's smoothie was absolutely horrible. Not only did they not fill my cup (mind you, I paid the hefty price for a large smoothie), it was very watery, even more so than if I didn't ask for it to be thick. First off this store has the highest prices in comparison to the Poway, Point Loma, Santee and Carmel Mountain locations. Not sure why, the girl at the register said we ALWAY RAISE OUT PRICES. The funny part is I just ordered a strawberry wilds yesterday after the gym in santee and paid a dollar less and they even gave me a medium when I asked for a small. Santee and Carmel Mountain are great locations. I decided to still order a small strawberry's wild smoothie and presented a $50 bill and the manager said we don't have change.....what a joke. Message to the GM and area manager....supply your team with at least a $200 drawer, it's pretty much industry standard. Adjust your prices to match all locations, provide better training (don't tell customers "we always raise our prices) and ensure the drawer is able to break a $50 OR train your managers to go make change from the safe. This is a very nice Jamba Juice with a good group of friendly employees running it. I picked up my usual, during the fall season, pumpkin smash smoothies and for a snack, a apple cinnamon warm soft pretzel. The pumpkin smash was terrific and I really like the way the vanilla yogurt smooths the smoothie and gives it a touch of creaminess. The pumpkin and cinnamon flavors came through nicely and were great. The apple cinnamon pretzel was of good size and was very moist and soft. It had a good mild apple flavor and very good cinnamon flavor. It even had bits of apples in it. Like I said, the service was very good and chatty in a friendly manner. read more

I love Jamba Juice & the staff were friendly. Although, what killed it was my drinks weren't filled to the top. It wasn't just one drink, but both drinks I ordered. I didn't have time to let the staff know because I came during my lunch break. If I'm paying almost $5 per drink, it should be filled to the very top. In fact, I've gotten to other Jamba Juices that fills it to the top, & if there is any extra, they'll give a tiny cup filled w/the extra juice to the customers. I used to go to Jamba Juice on campus all the time, but haven't gone back since graduating. There are locations everywhere, but I never really treat it as an essential part of my day (as coffee drinkers do) and more often as a novelty. However, the weather was hot and I needed to cool down so my friend and I dropped in to claim their latest BOGO offer and we went sick by ordering their largest "Power-sized" smoothies. There were tons of new flavor combinations to try, many that I didn't recognize, but my choice of the day would be their Pomegranate Pick-Me-Up. I've been really getting into pomegranates lately and decided to try Jamba Juice's creation with the exotic, grenade-like fruit. It was very refreshing and flavorful, but perhaps a tad on the sweet side. That said, all of their smoothies have been a little sweeter than I tend to like, but are also great on hot summer days as today. I normally skip the Jamba Juice on the way to the gym, but this BOGO deal was too good to pass up. While I probably won't be back in a while in an effort to say some money, I must admit that I definitely enjoyed the energizing smoothie. It has been awhile since visiting Jamba Juice, and I have been a big fan since my high school/college days. With their Jamba Vitamix, Jamba Juice has been able to create a variety of tasty smoothies, juices and shots, and snacks such as bowls, sandwiches and oatmeal. I received a holiday gift card from my supervisor and decided to grab a Pina Colada, includes pineapple juice, sherbet, banana, frozen yogurt, and a pinch of coconut. I was going to order another smoothie, but the friendly "jabarista" mentioned that they were promoting the new turkey sausage & egg sandwiches which are $2 off with purchase of smoothie, so we decided to order that. The sandwich was nice and toasty, and the egg and spicy turkey sausage, melted in between gouda cheese and some roasted red pepper spread made for a good to-go breakfast. I give it a 5 star because there's was like 6 ppl working at that location, it was pretty busy when we got there. I was not expecting 6 ppl to be working usually it's like 2 ppl working. We had to wait like about 5 min For our drinks. This Jamba Juice is in a busy location but it's conveniently located near Starbucks. So let's say ur friends r into the morning caffeine rush but ur already hyper energy then this the place for u! There's nothing like getting a natural drink to start off the morning! The prices will seem a little high but you're getting all natural ingredients so it's definitely worth what you're paying. Jacob is really awesome too. He makes sure you get what is best for you and is very patient explaining what would be best for a high energy person like me. The smoothies are always a hit or miss especially on a busy day. I usually order the same smoothie for my fiancé + I, instead of blending the smoothies separately like how you would have to if I were two different customers, they would blend both together. The smoothies turned out way too watery, definitely not the correct consistency and it's very disappointing. Sometimes I have to purposely order the same smoothies just customized a bit, so they have to prepare it individually so it tastes right. After all, I am paying money for the smoothies and I am not getting a discount for saving them a blender/time! Not to mention, when the receipt prints with a survey BOGO coupon at the bottom they will immediately toss your receipt in the trash without asking if you want a receipt. They can make your old favorites that are not on the menu anymore and that is a HUGE plus for me and my Mini-Me, when we are in need of cool-smoothie happiness.
