Before entering the theaters, we made a quick stop at Starbucks. This location was clean, organized and easy to visit. Really pleased with the great service and friendly staff. Baristas worked fast and efficiently, and made sure every drink was served in a timely manner. From start to finish, we were out of there within 5 to 10 minutes and on our way to watch our movie. My only gripe is that they serve drinks (hot or cold) in compostable fiber-based cups. They no longer use plastic cold drink cups! Why? Apparently, this change is due to local regulations and Starbucks' sustainability efforts. Which is kind of a bummer, because it takes away from the aesthetic of the drink in my opinion!

Early morning car repair got me up early as this one would take awhile I decided to grab something for breakfast and what better place than right here at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as I don't know about you I think they have one of the best grab and go bites. With items like pastries, wraps, sandwiches, parfait...even fresh fruits and veggies bowls all and they open at 5am is appreciated. Even as I walked in and glanced at the display case I was warmly greeted by a staff instantly so nice especially in the early morning. I got the Turkey Pesto Sandwich and was offered if I wanted it heated which I was thrilled it can be done and didn't take long at all though this Market City location is shared side space with Foodland it's a bit on the small side as it's more long and narrow space so it makes it hard to crowd without block the flow of traffic which is quite heavy for this early morning hour. The vibe is a bit rushed for probably the regulars who know what they want as I contemplated on having a drink as well decided not to but was happy to have something warm to hold me over versus a cold danish. This…read morecute little spot at the entrance of Makiki Shopping Village has much more than you realize as I was there for a pop up but was busy in the morning then decided to grab a smoothie here as the day started to warm up. Love that they have shave ice along with coffee and tea as well but it has to be the smoothie which comes in two sizes and with a dozen flavor choices for you to choose from I decided on a Strawberry and Guava and as she rung me up asked if I was interested in a bento as well for $6 it had me thinking what a deal and it was beautifully packed but already have lunch ready I decided to pass but what a wonderful day as well. My smoothie was slightly sweet but a perfect flavor combination I must say and I really enjoyed and needed it as I took just a few sips brought the smoothie level down half way and was gone before I knew it. I'm gonna be straight though this has to be one of the frigid locations as it didn't take long for me to feel it but the changes Starbucks has made throughout with the lamp and cozy lounge vibe with the huge screen to see where your order status is quite cool but lots of seating inside and outside along with restroom (code needed) is so very appreciated and is basically the complete package in my option...for most...for me they also have outlets to charge and that's my thing as you can see it throughout and not at one random table in the convenient spot. Ever since they renovated it, it's beautiful! Looks like a hotel lobby. One of the best places to study/read in my opinion. There's a variety of couch, bar, and table seating and there seems to always have open seats and never gets too crowded. They have floor to ceiling windows so it gets quite a bit of natural light. Not too loud and a few outlets around if you need them. Parking is also pretty easy since it's in the shopping center. The food and coffee is pretty similar to your average Starbucks, nothing new here. But for a study/read/hangout spot, I think this is probably one of the best places on the east side of the island now.

I remember at least twice that I came here for ice cream because I thought having ice cream was an easier cheaper choice than buying actual lunch in the food court. And so, I found myself here at this Baskin Robbins ice cream store in the heart of Ala Moana shopping center, near center stage on at least 3 separate times. I just found the time to file a review after so many visits here. Each time, it was either on a chill Saturday or Sunday, since I normally am at Ala Moana for shopping or playing a Pokemon Go event. Sometimes, both on the same day. I would come to this Baskin Robbins store because I was craving ice cream and not wanting to overspend on a real lunch. Maybe ice cream was a better choice at the time, especially due to budgetary constraints, but it did taste good and definitely was delicious. An ice cream treat is good anywhere and anytime. Every time I come here, a nice person is behind the counter and waiting for my order. At least in my experience, it was someone of high school or college and usually a female. I would generally look at what's in the freezers in the store and pick what was in there. My favorites would be the general chocolate or something with chocolate in there. Very rarely I would get something that's not chocolate to sample or treat myself otherwise. The overall experience here at this Baskin Robbins ice cream shop is quite nice. The only issue with this store is when you see random people come in and ask for samples. More than 2 samples that kind of bothers me. But then again, you can't mess with free. When I come here, I usually buy a small pint that's close to $10, which is basically like 3-4 scoops of ice cream that's tightly packed into a pint sized container. A large size is close to $15 and I definitely can't finish that on an empty stomach. While the single and double scoops aren't enough to satisfy my sweet tooth, a smaller pint container that's around a price of a plate lunch is more palatable for me and it fits the bill. Baskin Robbins is one of those brand name ice cream brands that prides itself on being the best at what they do. In my experiences here, the staff here is friendly and awesome. There usually isn't a line generally, so you can get your ice cream purchase pretty quickly. For the most part though, it's nice to grab ice cream here. There's a couple more ice cream spots in the Ala Moana shopping center, with Hagen Daz being the one in the food court near by, but I generally favor Baskin Robbins, due to its simplicity and being cheaper than their competition. And so, if you love ice cream, consider this Baskin Robbins location if you are shopping or want that ice cream fix in Ala Moana shopping center. Baskin Robbins ice cream is priced fairly and competitively. You can get a decent amount of ice cream for around $10 if it's in a take home pint. If you don't want too much calories or just prefer a smaller size, you can do the single scoop or double scoop. Best bet would be to buy the larger container for added value and you could always save it / freeze it for future use too, which is what I did on some occasions. This Baskin Robbins location is located inside the Ala Moana shopping center next to center stage. It's physically located at 1450 Ala Moana Boulevard in Honolulu. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, you have a wonderful option of parking in Ala Moana shopping center. Best bet would be to come here early enough to secure the best parking spot before the mad rush comes in. And if you are like me, many bus routes start or end service at Ala Moana shopping center. You can choose the right one that's for you. And of course, there's always Uber and Lyft if you require that service. And so, if you love ice cream without the fancy, consider Baskin Robbins for your daily ice cream fix. I promise you won't regret coming here. I probably do after a while, but that's probably if I had too much too soon. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+
