I had a 10x10 storage unit with Jamacha self storage for at least 4 years. I don't live near this area, but if I had to store something again I would store it there, I don't care how far I would have to drive. The units are well maintained, the pricing is fair and easy to handle over the phone or online, and the area is secure. They have hand trucks and moving trucks to borrow. I've recommended this place to folks who have tried other places and they liked this place better. I'm surprised they have so little reviews on yelp, so I had to add mine! read more

When I searched the marketplace for a facility that seemed to meet my exceedingly high standards for customer service and all that is important in a self-storage facility, I discovered Jamacha Point near my home in Spring Valley-and what a blessing it has been! From the outset, the manager did everything humanly possible to ensure that my needs and preferences were respected. His professionalism, respect and willingness to work with me to find the perfect storage solution were most admirable. Over time, my experience with this business has absolutely convinced me that it is a model of what self storage facilities should be. I have been a tenant at this facility for the last couple of years The old staff was great very reliable very courteous always Willing to answer any questions that you might had . about a year ago they change staff and they got a new manager who is extremely rude and disrespectful and condescending No customer service skills whatsoever And there is heavy set African-American young lady Who manages to be even worse than the manger when it comes to her customer service she Refuses to acknowledge your present once you walk into the office ones she finely Greets you by asking you what do you want I'm busy her answer to every question you may ask her is she doesn't have the time to deal with you And when you asked to speak to a supervisor or manager she Argues with you telling you they're juts going to tell you the same thing I just told you I have been refused access to my storage unit or to the site several times by her and manager on multiple occasions in just the last couple of moths I've been in Denied access to my unite because Allegedly I am not on the contract even though I'm on the lease and I showed them proof of my ID I was still the denied access and told to come back with someone who was on the contract Once I showed up with the other person and we both show them our contract Proving that in fact . I was as On the contract and I should have access to my unit . .. As I was in the army when I open my account with Jamacha self storage and a travel a lot because of this fact is that I need a safe place to store my Belongings . I'm only in town for a short period of time .only a couple times year and I don't have time to be coming back-and-forth and arguing with staff about having access to my unite Sorry for the long rant and review I'm just a little fed up with the customer service And will be looking for other facilities to store my Belongings Ps . Although boasting being rated one of the best local storage facilities, far better rates, terms, and available unit size options exist nearby. Even without any obvious (to me) "competitive advantage" (other than free candy in the office), this place seems pretty popular, so it might be worth checking their current availability and pricing. I did not find anything wrong, I just found several nearby storage facilities I thought better for people I was helping move. You know how the saying goes about first impressions meaning everything? Well I just left from signing my move in paperwork and am absolutely both pleased and impressed. I reserved a unit online and came in person this morning and the lady took me to to show me my unit first to make sure it would fit my needs. The facility is very nice and very clean. There are elevators and also push carts that you can use if you have a unit on another floor. They also provide a lock to you for free which is very convenient. We went into the office afterwards to sign paperwork and she was very nice and helpful and explained everything that I was signing to me and made sure I understood everything. They offer military and student discounts which is great! There is a keypad that you punch your code in to get access onto the facility and there's security, which I like so I don't have to worry about my stuff being stolen. I look forward to my time renting a unit here. read more

I've had a storage unit here for approximately 5 years now, and am very pleased with my overall experience. First of all, the customer service is fantastic. I had a small issue earlier today, and as soon as I expressed concern, it was handled immediately, and efficiently. Raylene went out of her way to contact me after our initial conversation, to make sure all my questions were answered and I was taken care of.
