Lucky me, I had a container of Tony Cacherie's Creole Seasoning in my Car, & that's what kinda saved the meal for me. That's sad. I really wanted to love this spot & make it my "usual" place. THAT didn't work out.. Do gave to say that the employees I encountered are very nice, and perhaps the food is better seasoned when you have some of the Salsa to add to it.

I really liked the migas, though. It was made with fresh jalapeño and had just the right amount of heat without needing any salsa. So I think this is one of those places that does some things very well... enough to build up a solid base of regulars, even though some of their other offerings were disappointing, like improperly reheated enchiladas. But if you know what to order, you can really enjoy this place. Oddly enough, they have chorizo on the menu, but don't list it among the available proteins on the breakfast taco menu, which I personally find very strange. Chorizo and egg is such an iconic breakfast taco offering. I'll bet they'd do it justice.

It came with rice/beans and an enchilada choice, I got chicken. It was good. The service was ok, they seem to be in the same boat as every one else with the lack of staff. I tend to measure service by whether I need to wait for refills. It was not the best but not the worst. Overall, a disappointing experience this time but I'm not checking it off the rotation yet. This is probably the first restaurant I've ever seen that literally has a car wash connected to it. Once inside you'll find an ATM, gambling machines, and a check cashing station. In other words, there seems to be a lot going on here besides being a restaurant. There's about 10 tables inside and four more outside. The only thing missing are some gas pumps. This place has all the ambience of a convenience store dining experience. The tables are rickety, the paint on the floor is well worn away, and the ceiling tiles are stained. The menus are in Spanish (no english) and there is no complementary chips and salsa here. We were able to order in English, but clearly this is geared towards Mexican customers primarily. They do have some frescas along with some Mexican beer, but nothing in the way of craft beer. We ordered the beef quesadilla and beef sope. The cubed meat on both our dishes was way overcooked, tough, bordering on inedible and "questionable". Even the greasy silverware did not appear very clean and even had some rust spots on the knife. The service was OK, but nothing special. I discovered after I paid at the counter where I included a tip, an additional tip had already been added without my knowledge. I will not risk dining at their other locations based on this experience. I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but in reality I should've kept on going down the road.

It has huge hunks of meat, plenty of hominy, and checked all our boxes. We also enjoyed the quesabirria tacos and some street tacos. They offer tasty micheladas to wash it all down, (or just beer, if you prefer) along with some traditional Mexican desserts. The lady we ordered from was really nice and was very accommodating. We'll return to try more of their many selections, which include lots of street vendor-style snacks and treats.
