We just picked up a to-go order and we are incredibly disappointed. First of all, the price for 2 basic meals that include no extras (chips & salsa or drinks) was $32. That's insane, especially when the quantity and quality of one of the plates and the quality of the other is taken into account. Taco shells were soggy and there were only 2, as well as a teeny tiny portion of rice & beans, for what I can only assume was somewhere around $15. The quesadilla was completely soggy, especially then bottom layer, when they should be crispy. Again, the cost of this meal was around $15 and it contained NO MEAT. Service is great and we usually pick up tacos in the morning which have been good but today we decided to eat inside since we had time. Our waitress was very nice. My breakfast was not good today. The bacon tasted like it was sitting out for a while or on its last leg. The biggest dissapointed was the migas! I have driven by here several times and seen cars lined out up front. That is one of the best signs that the food is good. However, the Yelp reviews seemed to tell a different story...so I had to try this place. I can tell you that this is one of the places Yelp has wrong. You can tell that the negative reviewers are a combination of competition and morons. One lady doesn't even know the difference between Bastrop and Cedar Park. This place is about a dollar or two more expensive than some of their competition. It is however well worth it. I was given a huge bowl of salsa and the salsa was fresh and authentic. One of the first curbside pickups in Texas. Food is generally good, service not withstanding. Access is in front of a strip mall on the side of Hwy 71. There are several great Mexican restaurants in Bastrop. Jalisco's is a daily run business.
