This trip was a random idea one day and not for a party. My daughter had been asking to go here for a while and we finally decided to check it out. I bought discounted tickets ahead of time which I thought would save us time, but not really. There was definitely a staffing shortage and not enough people to run all the rides, but the people that were there were bouncing bavk and forth so the kids could rude everything. There was a good amount of games for kids to play ad well. My favorite is always the clown game :) The buffet was so so, like most buffets. My kids wanted pizza and cookies. My husband and I tried the salad and pasta. It wasn't too bad, nothing spectacular though. My biggest problem was the lack of any supervision near the food. Kids run rampant in this place and no one is watching. That is a parenting fail, obviously. But the food is unsupervised so kids are running up and grabbing cookies in an unsanitary way and ice cream was everywhere! Full cones of ice cream were being dropped on the floor with no one to notice or pick up. Would we go back? Probably not. It was more than I want to pay for the experience I had. It's a pretty big place with arcade games, bowling, laser tag, VR games, and even some small carnival rides, like Merry-go-round, and bumper cars. We had an amazing experience. We purchased the Groupon which was $37.50 per person and got unlimited rides and games and $40 on the claw machine (swipe) games. The rides are all excellent. Food isn't high end but perfect for kids! They have pizza, pasta, salad (need to have more fresh salads), baked potato, cookies and ice cream machine. Fruit is all canned which wasn't great. They also have bowling, laser tag, and a VR area. You can easily spend 8 hours here with the kids. Awesome place! read more

I've been coming here over 10 yrs. The quality has dropped so much. The food is gross. The salad dressing expired over a week ago. I got chips because I figure they were safe. Expires in 2 days. Is everything in the kitchen expired? The salad smelled could not eat it. The pizza had nothing on half the slices. I spent over $200 on 2 $130 wrist bands. $18 for me to just watch and over $100 on ticket games. I won't be back I pray we don't get sick. Our family recently had the pleasure of visiting Jake's Unlimited for the first time, drawn in by their Teacher's Night promotion. We are thrilled to say that we will definitely be returning, as our 3.5-year-old daughter had an absolute blast. We were there for about 5 hours and my daughter not once asked to leave and kept entertained. We went on a Friday afternoon and stayed until closing time on an event date and it wasn't packed at all. We didn't wait in that long of lines for much other than a short line for prime dinner time. Entertainment: * Rides: Our daughter couldn't get enough of the merry-go-round and tea cups, riding them multiple times. The carnival-style rides are perfect for younger children. * Bowling: We introduced our daughter to bowling during our visit. Jake's provides a device that helps kids roll the ball, which was a hit. The lightest ball available is 8 lbs, which was manageable for me as an adult, but seems heavy for younger children. The upbeat music kept our daughter's attention throughout the bowling game. Additionally, another nice feature is that the bumpers are available and can be set to appear automatically for those who need them. * Arcade Games: There's a vast selection of arcade games suitable for all ages. Our pass included unlimited play on non-ticket games, and we found plenty to enjoy. While we didn't try laser tag due to having a toddler and baby with us, it's another activity available for older children and adults that would be fun. Food: The food was great for the type of setting and it being at an entertainment center catering to adults and kids. I will say, the thought did venture my mind that this was my first buffet since Covid and the thought of all the people, especially kids hands touching the serving food utensils did give me a little cringe feeling! There were several areas to sit and each area had a different theme, which was so cool! The theatre room had a large screen with movie playing, the sports themed room had sports on the TV, etc. There were multiple pasta options, various salads with different dressings, and several soup choices. The dessert selection included ice cream, cookies, sopapilla chips, and Rice Krispy treats. The ice cream was good, the other options were just okay as I prefer super soft cookies over these. The food was replenished in a decent time frame when we sat and ate around 6-6:30pm. There's also a separate area offering additional ice cream treats and candies for an extra charge, though we didn't see many customers using this section during our visit. Overall: We had an unforgettable time at Jake's Unlimited. The combination of engaging entertainment options and satisfying food makes it an ideal destination for families, especially those with younger children. My friends had their daughter's 3rd birthday party here this past Sunday. They booked the VIP Bowling Suite room from 12-1:30pm. I believe they purchased the Elite party package which starts at $600+tax and includes up to 10 players. Each additional player is $60+tax and each additional diner is $15+tax. My friend said they spent around $1,000 for everything here. The room is a good idea for large groups so that you have a dedicated area for friends and family to gather and eat. You also have a dedicated party waitress. She was very helpful and went over everything with my friends at the start. She was attentive. She brought pizzas, pitchers of sodas, plates, napkins and anything anyone had asked for. For the pastas, salads and soups, we walked to the buffet area to grab them. We were given some time to eat before they did cake, which was a little after 1ish. Afterwards, they gave all the kids wristbands to go play. The place is very different from what I remember back in the day. There is now a bar and a bowling alley (not sure if that was there before?). Food is still whatevers. Needs a little upgrade. The pizzas that were brought to the room were good and crispy but the pizzas in the buffet area were not good at all. Tomato bisque wasn't bad but the broccoli and cheddar soup was bland. Pastas were cold when I grabbed them but not horrible. As I was walking around while watching over my friend's daughter, I noticed lot of the arcade games were broken. Many were out of service and some of them didn't work with her wristband. Some of the older kids said the wait for laser tag took a while and VR was a 2hr wait! I normally don't leave reviews but this was our first time at Jake's Unlimited and it was a horrible experience. 1. There was no flowing AC, it felt so humid. We couldn't enjoy ourselves. I even tried to ask an employee if they could adjust the AC and she said there was no way to do that. 2. It was very dirty- in the dining area and restrooms. 3. Every game was either broken, missing balls or game pieces. 4. I expected it to be as good as any other arcade place I've been to, especially for the price we paid. read more

Ok, you're NOT going for the food and you have to acknowledge that before you go in (but your kids and grandkids don't care). In fact, my grandkids (6 of the from 3-9) love the pizza, Mac & cheese, fountain drinks/ lemonade + the ice cream, cookies and donuts - they don't know any better. You're going because your kids and grandkids are gonna love it - the rides, the arcade games, bowling, laser tag & the all you can eat plus it's indoors (aka, air conditioned) and safe for the kids to run free and have a blast. We've taken our grandkids to jump Parks, indoor gyms, trampolines Parks, but they LOVE going to Jakes and if that means I choke down a slice of cardboard pizza or eat from their salad bar (which isn't that bad), then thats what I'll do. It can be kinda expensive, but if you have the Get Out Pass and upgrade when you get there, the your kids/grandkids will have a full day of fun and snack all day from the buffet. read more

Took 5 of my grandkids here because 2 of them were leaving to go back home to Illinois the following day. Good thing they had a few summer specials as this place is pretty expensive if you're paying for a lot of people. It's at least 15.00 just to get In if you're not going to do any of the activities due to having a buffet. The special I got for the kids was 25.00 which included all you could eat buffet and unlimited rides and games. However that special did have some stipulations. There were some games that were not included and any of the games that distributed tickets were not given for those passes. Each child was given a wristband that had to be scanned prior to entering any ride or playing any game. There were 2 rides for the littles, the tea cups and the carousel. 2 rides for the bigger kids, bumper cars and a fast spinning one that went up into the air. Laser tag was also included but not bowling or the VR game. The buffet was minimal with a salad bar with not many options for toppings. A couple different pastas, a few fruits, bananas and apples and pizza and 2 soups. It definitely could of been a little bigger with more options. They have a cinema room with kids movies playing, another smaller room, a reserved room and then an open area out by the rides as places you could sit and eat. We arrived about 11:30, they open at 11 and there was already a big line. We ended up leaving around 6:30. The 3 little ones left around 4 with my daughter as they needed naps. Didn't actually have a good time here like last year. I give it 2 stars because the way the associate handled my experience was phenomenal. Upon entering, it was crazy packed and I mean you have little kids running around everywhere taking over all of the games and rides. You would be walking around for 30 minutes in circles just for nothing to come up. The buffet they had was completely hideous, I'm not understanding how it is and all you can eat buffet, but there was no food there at all. And I'm not sure what birthday party was happening or how many family members there were all together in one, but it was so unsanitary to have all of the kids slapping their hands all over the food all over the fountains all over the tables and chairs, spitting and coughing all over the toys. I was so embarrassed because when I was here last year, it was awesome and I took a friend so that way we can both have a good time and we left within 10 minutes of being there. I give it two stars because the manager we spoke to there was very understanding as well as we were. It was a simple two minutes of getting our money refunded back And walking out of the door, but I will 100% not be back here again. What can I say about Jake's Unlimited other than that I will never come here again. This place is straight ass. My son had been here before for a birthday party, and based on his recollections, our perception was that Jake's was very similar to John's Incredible Pizza Company in CA. Buffet, arcade, pool, and small carnival-type rides on the menu, so nothing we hadn't seen before. However, this location in Mesa needs a change in management STAT. Our visit today was just awful, and yes, I will tell you why in the next paragraph or two (or three). So I would have to say that the biggest draw for a place like Jake's is the arcade. Bright neon lights, loud attract modes, and the draw of prizes and tickets like any other related entertainment venue, and that should be enough to keep the kids and adults going for a few hours. However, when around 40% (we did some fuzzy math) of the machines are broken, the allure wears off very quickly as it did for us today. We decided that perhaps we should stick to the ticket redemption games, but after checking out the prize shop we decided that was a mistake. The prizes were nothing but overpriced cheap crap that weren't worth wasting 300 credits to earn. Combine that with unplayable machines and we're stuck with game cards that are essentially useless. Moving on to the food, you'd think that there would be something edible in the all-you-can-eat buffet, but I assure you there is not. The pasta was gag-worthy, the salad bar full of wilty lettuce, and the pizza was a no-show. During the entirety of our time spent, there was a line queued waiting for more pizza to arrive, and when it did it was like vultures on a carcass. The two pieces I managed to snag were simultaneously hot and cold, and somehow had raw onion on a cooked pizza. I'd compare it to school lunch at an elementary school, but with more giant bubbles in the crust. Then there's the sweet treat tickets that are given as part of your entry. These would be great if there weren't just a single person working the counter. Every time we scaled back to check the line, the ten people waiting equaled about 30 minutes of your life wasted. We opted to forgo the coupons and just get the hell out of there. And the cherry on top of all this is that the entire place is flat out disgusting. I swear I didn't touch a single surface that wasn't wet or sticky. I don't blame this solely on the staff as the clientele seems to be questionable at best. The situation could be rectified if there were a ready supply of hand sanitizer but alas, of the many dispensers stationed around the warehouse, most were out or even lacked the container. So you say to yourself, "I'll just wash my hands in the restroom!" and I will say to you, "Good luck", as the restrooms I entered had zero hand soap and nothing but germ blasters to dry your hands. Try not to touch your face as you power-walk out the exit. Honestly, I don't know how to best sum up my feelings for Jake's. It's gross, a rip-off, understaffed, and everything's broken. If I feel the need to wander an arcade hopelessly trying to earn tickets for a bluetooth speaker, I'll be at Mavrix instead. read more

Was here for a birthday party for my niece. Extremely crowded. Kids everywhere. Very loud! Great for the parent that wants to give their kid a wristband and let 'em fly. Not so great if you wanna sit down and hang out for said birthday party. My sister got a reserved room that was for about an hour and a half where they served pizza and drinks and we were able to privately do happy birthday. It was nice. The gaming area: Maybe every other game worked. NONE of the air hockey tables had pucks but countless people walked up, including me, slid my little game card, had credits taken, and couldn't play the game. I tossed any and all germaphobic-ness out the window. Everything was sticky. Kids laying on the floor. I watched the VR area while waiting in line for laser tag. They never wiped the headsets at all, it was kind of gross. The bowling alley was closed. The bar, I ordered their cotton candy martini, the picture shows it with cotton candy on top, not even that was as shown. Disappointed. At $60 bucks a pop this place is making a killing. I don't have kids but my nieces and nephews were having a blast, I think. The all you can eat buffet is old lettuce and hard pasta and pizza. The dessert area is ice cream and like, little cinnamon balls. Again. Great I'm sure for the average parent to spend $60+ on a weekend of fun for kids. They charge you $18 to just come in and warrant you getting the buffet which is worse than children's cafeteria food because no one is staffed to monitor access. Half the games were broken and they were completely understaffed with high school kids. This cost me $120 for the three of us. I don't understand the bad reviews!! We had a birthday party for a large group of 14-year-olds. I told the parents that the teens would likely get bored, so we would probably be there for just a few hours. Well, SIX hours later, we had to gather them up and drag them away! Contrary to other complaints, ALL of the machines were operational! They offer so much for such a minimal price!! The teens ate when we got there. They ate the pizza that was served in the party room plus had pitchers of soda. They ate again from the buffet a couple of hours later. They ate again from the buffet right before we left!! The buffet offers various pizzas, various desserts, pastas, salad bar, soups, potatoes and toppings and MORE!! The teens absolutely enjoyed getting everything they could possibly eat AND drink!! This place is HUGE!! There are so many options to entertain!! There are bumper cars, an octopus type ride, laser tag, virtual reality, bowling, PLUS, PLUS!! The bowls for the soft serve ice cream are literally plastic ramekins. I'd set the over/under for amount of time it's been since they've mopped at 6 months. My 7 year old daughter absolutely loves this place. They have video games, bowling, laser tag, kids movies playing in the theater room, rides (including bumping cars), ect. Everyone pays to go in, even adults. $18 is the cheapest price to get in which just gets you the unlimited buffet all day from open to close which alone is worth it, I just pig out on the Mac and cheese, baked sweet potatoes, pizza, corn, ice cream and soda. We had my daughters birthday party here recently and it was worth it. They gave us a room for a couple of hours and it included wristbands for 10 kids. The servers brought us a couple of fresh pizza pies just for our party and sodas. Everyone loved it, the party ended up being about $500 but we did get extra stuff like desserts. Honestly if you come here you have to get your kid the pro pass which gives them access to basically everything (with the exception of just a couple of things which are extra) which is usually anywhere from $40 to $50 but if you are patient and sign up for they email mailing list about once a month or so the pass goes on sale for $25 or $30 thats when you need to jump on it. Sometimes they even have gift cards on sale for half the price. I bought a couple of $25 gift cards for only $25, so I basically got one free. This is the best place and most affordable fun you can have in Arizona with a kid for the price. All day fun and the kids never get tired of it. I took my daughter 3 days in a row here one week and she still wasn't tired of it. This place used to be called Amazing Jake's. Jake's Unlimited is loads of fun for the whole family. If my 5year old could coherently communicate their dreams, I'm sure it would sound a lot like the inside of Jakes; all the pizza, games and rides they can stand. It might seem like a big price for entry, but considering they feed you AND entertain you for an entire day, if you stay long enough, you're basically paying ~$5 (per person) an hour for a day food and entertainment, I'd say that's a good value. While there are some add on experiences that will cost additional to their door price, like VR (Virtual Reality) and arcade games that give out tickets, your wrist band will activate any of the carousels, drop ride, bumper cars, video games, skee ball, basketball, throwing skill and air hockey machines - but will not distribute tickets without the upgrade. There are package options that get you into laser tag, bowling and the other experiences they have. On our most recent visit, we came on a weekday during the summer month/s and took advantage of their $25 full day summer special for weekdays. We arrived about 11am and I think we left somewhere around 6pm. We rode the drop ride about 10 times in a row, played 10+ games of air hockey, lots of motorcycle and driving games, skee ball, I basically set the 5year old free and followed them around letting them lead the way and do whatever it was they wanted to do next. I think it took about 3/4ths of a mile on the car ride home for them to fall asleep, head fallen over to the side with drool coming down their chin, they were worn out! They had such a fun day and haven't stopped talking about going back to the place where the "video games and pizza" is. I'm sure we'll be back at some point; although, I think I still need more time to recover from eating more pizza in one day than I have in the previous 6 months combined. :-D read more

Ah. I wanted to like this place so much. We came on a Tuesday and spent a whopping six and a half hours here. During those seven hours, I experienced quite a lot. And I only have one child. So that's where a majority of the stars come from. At the discounted price (ask me for details), it's worth it if you're going to spend a LONG time there. If it's regularly priced? No way in hell would I come here. There are tons of things to do. Games are truly unlimited and so are rides and bowling and VR. BUT, to do all of that, you need to get the most expensive tier for entry and again, it's not worth jt if you aren't staying here for several hours. The VR arena was really fun (even for the adults), however. But the food is so gross. It's a buffet and that's fine with me. But all the pizza is like frozen, overcooked pizza so it hurts to chew. It has no flavor. There's also some sort of Mexican-style, tiny sauce area that is SO nasty as nobody is cleaning it. So all the sauces and toppings have dropped and dripped into each other. Same with the salad bar area. There is food all over the whole eating and food service vicinities. The floors are sticky. The plates (paper styrofoam) are nowhere to be found half the time because in a 6-hour span we were there, they kept forgetting to restock them. Everyone in my party only picked at their food. Even the desserts at the bar consist of 3 different types of mini grocery-store mass muffins and Brookies. Oh, sorry, and two, super messy soft serve machines. All those photos you see of crazy, colorful desserts? Those are NOT included. If you purchase the most expensive tier of entry, those are still not included. You get a scoop of ice cream with toppings or a root beer float. You pay for the colorful desserts. And of course, we had to try one. Preeeeetty disgusting. 'Gram worthy but that's it. After your photo, don't actually scoop that stuff into your mouth. Don't put any of the food in your mouth, actually. Drink the sodas, but that's it. So... I suppose that's why the three stars? The problem is that the buffet is the worst food I have ever eaten, not to mention how dirty everything is. No lie, it all tasted like cardboard. The only good thing to eat was the soft serve, but again, it was dirty! The games: we got the unlimited bracelets, but even then, so many of the games were out of order. Most of the games are for kids 10 plus, not ideal for smaller kids. Although it says you win points when playing a game, in reality, your points aren't saved. It was incredibly expensive for crummy food with a very small selection, half of the arcade games they got rid of AND on top of that, there isn't a package that just includes arcade games and buffet ($20 is what they charged for this package a couple of years ago). Now I'm out $84 for 2 people just to play some arcade games that don't even work properly!!!! What was once a family favorite is now an experience I will not come back for. This place has fallen hard. Most of the arcade machines have some major issues. Some were just turned off, others took your money and didn't work. The basketball machines, and skee ball machines just didn't have balls. The air hockey tables just didn't give you a puck. The laser tag vests are falling apart, and the guns themselves have problems shooting correctly. The bumper cars had cars die midway through with the employee not caring at all when informed. The floor was sticky all throughout the facility, and I avoided the food just because of how low quality everything else was. This was definitely a disappointing experience to take my nephew too, and I'd advise people to avoid this place until they clean up. read more
