This pizza joint is probably the only food spot open downtown after hours. So, if you are looking to pre-game or feed your alcohol, look no further!

Philly cheese slice, they warm it up in an actual pizza oven, not a microwave.

They have various specialty pizza slices for $3.99. When you buy a slice it is warmed up fresh in a PIZZA OVEN, not a microwave. Jake's on the Square is right in Public Square in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Public Square in downtown Cleveland is famous because it is where they filmed the 1983 movie Christmas Story. I tried the Philly cheese steak slice. Management, are cheese slices cheaper than specialty slices? It would be GREAT if you had something like a slice of cheese only for $2.50 or 2 for $5.00. I love New York City, Jakes on the Square is similar to many of the pizza vendors in New York City. GREAT place and value for the money.

We are from out of town. Delicious Veggie Pizza. Made fresh. Very friendlyl!! Highly recommended.

Went in yesterday for pizza with my boyfriend. Realized on google it said it was more of a "take…read moreout" place so we ordered ahead. Coming into the store there was a cute counter by the window if you did decide to sit inside and eat. We came all the way from Kent for the pizza and wanted to try a slice before we left for home so my boyfriend ate a slice in the parking lot really quick. An employee (possibly the owner) came out with napkins and offered us to sit inside. We declined as we had to leave but the man graciously went inside and brought us out cold water bottles for our drive home! It was such a thoughtful gesture. Now onto the pizza. It was delicious! We ordered a regular pepperoni pizza and the white Neapolitan style pizza. It wouldn't let me add pineapple to my pizza online, which was fine because it didn't need it, the pizza was so good! My boyfriend loved his pepperoni pizza and I also enjoyed my Neapolitan style white pizza. It had a great garlicky flavor and was crispy on the crust. Will definitely be back to try the margarita pizza next! So if you're looking for a great pizza with hospitality I recommend coming to Joe De's!

It reminds me of my trip to Italy! I didn't care for the motz sticks personally, tasted like a funnel cake to me haha. The wings were okay. The onion rings were tasty! The garlic bread was tasty too! I wish they had a few better salad options personally. The employee (and I assume owner?) is SO warm and welcoming, treating you like an old friend. I LOVE THIS PLACE !

We ordered two small specialty pizzas and one extra-large pizza, all with pan crust. After placing our order, I overheard the kitchen mention they were out of pan crust, but no one informed us right away. When our two small pizzas arrived, I assumed the extra-large was still being prepared. When I asked about it, our server told me I had requested it to go, which I had not. To her credit, she tried to make things right by providing a pizza to take home, but the crusts and sizes were still not what we originally ordered. She also spent time explaining what was going on in the kitchen. Personally, I prefer when a problem is simply corrected rather than accompanied by excuses. In the end, I didn't eat much because I didn't care for the hand-tossed crust. To add to the disappointment, an automatic 20% gratuity was added to the bill, which was surprising and something I had never seen there before. Overall, this was not the experience I've come to expect from this restaurant. I'm not sure I'll be returning anytime soon.

If you check out my reviews, you'll see that I've sampled pizzas in more than one state and more than one country, including Italy. I've sampled many types of crusts and sauces. While the crust here is fine (not the best), the sauce is repulsive. My daughter said "Dad, this area is heavily populated with people from Eastern Bloc countries," to which I responded "If they like their pizza sweet, so be it. But I certainly don't." I understand that there are plenty of pizza styles, including the Greek version, which includes cinnamon on occasion. Yuck. This place is called Napoleon's Pizza, and they claim to conquer pretty much everything, from your pizza craving to the whole town of Parma. Indeed, Napoleon was an Italian dude who was born in France. His conquering skills were excellent, until his greed resulted in the deaths of thousands of soldiers who froze to death. All of that to say, I might've named this place Napoli's Pizza (since Napoli is the birthplace of the pizza we know today). But the sweet sauce here is an abomination, so maybe 'Napolean's' is more appropriate after all.

Violet kind of likes the decorations and pictures but doesn't like the wall either. Uncle Jack says it's enchanting but could use an update. Abbi thinks it's very crowded. The food I ordered the anchovy margherita pizza and it was a solid 9.5/10. Easily one of the closest pizzas I've had in the U.S. to the authentic Roman-style pizzas I remember. The only minor criticism -- and honestly not really their fault -- was that the anchovies tasted slightly canned, giving a bit more fishiness than the fresh anchovies commonly used in Italy. The service One of the owners, Annie, felt like the Italian nonna welcoming you into her home. Warm, thoughtful, conversational and constantly making sure everyone was taken care of. That hospitality elevated the entire experience. The atmosphere The restaurant is smaller and lively, so it can get pretty loud, especially on a Saturday night. The music was a tad louder than I personally prefer, but I also think it helps balance out the constant buzz of conversation happening at every table. The wait My friend and I arrived around 6:30 PM on a Saturday and the wait was about an hour and a half -- which is wild for a pizza place, but also says everything about how popular it is. Worth it? If you're craving authentic Italian pizza, absolutely. Overall The food alone makes the noise and wait worthwhile, and the hospitality makes you want to come back. I'd absolutely return the next time I'm in Cleveland.

That's how I came across Edison's Pizza, which had some great reviews. We ordered a large sausage and pepperoni, and the pickup time was about an hour. Not sure if that's typical, but it wasn't a big deal for us that day. Finding the place, however, was its own adventure. Google Maps couldn't locate it at first, then pulled up a different location. After a little trial and error, we finally figured out the pizza shop is actually inside a grocery store. Strange setup, but we eventually found it--and honestly, it was worth both the wait and the free scavenger hunt. The pizza itself was excellent. Great ratio of ingredients, not thin crust and not deep dish--soft in the center with a crispy, crunchy edge. It does come in on the higher side at nearly $30 for a large, but considering the quality and flavor, the value is still there. A fun find with great pizza, even if the journey to get it is part of the experience.
