Visited this location the other evening for dinner and overall enjoyed our meal. I'm from out of town and come from an area with a high Indian population and am absolutely spoiled with delicious authentic Indian food at home and I do have to admit this place isn't nearly as good as my local fare. We ordered the Aloo Gobi, a dish called "mushroom matter", basmati rice, "Indian style tea" which is just chai I don't know why they label it that way and a garlic naan. The aloo gobi was almost all cauliflower and lacked the brightness and salty sweetness I am used to, the mushroom dish also fell a bit flat although I've never seen this dish before so I have nothing to compare it to, the basmati rice was fairly short grained, not very fragrant and unspiced but the thing that got me was the crunchy toasted naan??! I was expecting your normal soft, pillowy, melt in your mouth steamy naan and I got what felt more like a crunchy pizza crust with no toppings, not that it was bad but it was wildly outside of what I was expecting and personally didn't like it, my daughter will eat any bread product and ate it instead. The service was incredibly nice, friendly, accommodating, and helpful, our food came quickly. I do wish they had some way of dealing with delivery drivers since they just loiter in the entry of the restaurant near the kitchen which happened to be right next to our booth and more than one large sweaty delivery driver was essentially leaning against my daughters side of the booth while waiting for pick up, kinda gross. They also need to replace their carpets and bench cushions but otherwise I loved the decor. Overall they need to step up their spice game, this is Indian food bring your A game and all other faults would be forgiven, except that crunchy naan. They also don't have Chana masala??!!? This is my go to and I've never seen this not offered at an Indian restaurant in my area. As a person spoiled by incredible Indian food this sadly doesn't hold up but it's good enough and better than other places we have tried in the area like Kathmandu II. read more

The ambiance is incredible, the colorful decorations make it so cozy and the outside seating is nice as well. The food is amazing and warm and made fresh, for someone who dislikes spicy food, it is the perfect Indian place because they allow you to pick the spice level since the food is made fresh. Went here for the lunch buffet and it was pretty good and definitely at a really great price. None of the food was spicy, but that's ok considering it's a buffet. The chicken tikka masala was great and I loved the sauce it was so creamy and had a nice tomato flavor. The chicken was kind of dry but fine. The rice was hard and dry but I really didn't mind it. The saag paneer was also good but didn't have much paneer in it. The potato vegetables thing was also good but nothing amazing. The naan was actually really great though and was brought out during our meal and was so so good. The location is super convenient near Pearl street and also had pretty solid food for a buffet and for the price. Wasn't too crowded and the restaurant was clean and also had clean bathrooms. I just arrived after driving 3 days from Virginia, ordered food, and requested utensils 3 different areas and of course they give, ZERO UTENSILS like okay, food, am I supposed to drink it? Or how did you want me to eat my take out? Can't rate food if can't eat it, and didn't specify order came with rice so I ordered rice and now I have one order of chicken and Samosa with 4 sides of rice LOL, please order somewhere else if you're traveling unless you want to be let down read more

The service was good. The first sign should have been that only two tables were taken on a Friday late lunch (1:30pm). My wife ordered us some appetizers while I was dealing with the parking situation. We got the lamb somosas and the Tandori chicken wings. I added an order of Papa-dams which we enjoyed first with the mint and the tamarind chutneys. When the chicken wings came out, they were covered with onions and green peppers which was odd, but the real problem was that the wings were only luke warm and not crispy at all. They seemed warmed up and I am not sure if they ever saw a tandori oven from the inside. They also had hardly any flavor. The lamb samosas were hot and made fresh, but other than a strong lamb flavor with salt, they did not leave a lasting impression. While we were initially excited to try the tikka masala, after these two less than well executed dishes we decided to cash out and save our appetite for another restaurant. read more

I am surprised to find an authentic Indian restaurant in Boulder, and this is probably the best Indian food I have had. The restaurant owner explained in detail for the dishes on the menu, and I respect his efforts to maintain the authenticity of the food from the "purple city" and other parts of India. I will need to come back to this place soon. read more

I ordered this via a delivery service app. I'm disappointed that the service is hit or miss The food is good when it's good and when it's not, it's bad. the quality is hit or miss and I suspect it's due to whomever is in the kitchen on a particular day. The samosas were delicious and the okra dish was decent but could have been spicier. Attached are pics of the eggplant dish, I ordered. Picture of the side of rice, which is more than 2 days old & probably a health violation. I ordered the Kabli Naan- which is bread with raisins and almonds. Attached you will see they sent me naan bread with pink coconut. I don't think I'll be ordering from here again. This little place is a delight! The best thing about the food here is the the balance of it; it's spiced perfectly, so you can really taste the spices, meat and vegetables harmoniously. I loved the way I could taste the spinach in the saag paneer and the spice in the malai kofta. The meat in the goat curry was tender and flavorful. The other thing I loved was that the chai was unsweetened; so many places drown their tea in sugar, so you can't taste the spice, but this place lets you add sweetener only if you want it (I don't--I like mine without, so it was perfect!) The inside decor is colorful and bold, filled with bright reds. Lots of lights hanging everywhere, gives it a nice touch. The table appeared clean from a distance, but once we sat down, I noticed they didn't replace our table cloth that was stained with sauces all over. My napkin wasn't clean either. Some of their silverware was pretty beat up. Pappadum: 3.8/5 Chicken pakoras: 5/5 delicious, this was a favorite among the table Chicken korma: 4.5/5 Garlic naan: 4.5/5 I prefer the bread to be thick, but a few others said it was perfect. Only one dessert hidden away in salad station and that rice pudding didn't taste great either. The server was very blunt to my friend when she asked for naan. Ambiance is nice though. We ordered the following foods: tandoori wings appetizer (pretty good), lamb boti saag (pretty good), chicken biryani (delicious), roghan josh curry (mind-blowing), and chicken madras (mind-blowing). Outdoor and indoor seating was available but I chose to sit outside since it was nice out.
