Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant was our second night of dining onboard the Anthem of the Seas. Funny thing we had to move our clocks ahead an hour as we sailed to Bermuda. I thought I was early but actually I was on time. It was meant to be as this restaurant books up quickly so make your reservations early. We sat near the front which was great as we could people watch. Also it was formal night so a lot of pictures were taken onboard this evening. On to the good stuff. I started with a glass of Conundrum my favorite wine and a plus when you sail Royal Caribbean that they carry it. My appetizers was a bruschetta with fresh tomatoes as well as fried calamari. That is the thing with Jamie simply fresh ingredients where all ingredients have traceability to their origin. It takes alot to get him to approve what goes into these dishes. My main course was homemade pasta made fresh onboard served in a mushroom cream sauce. It is out of this world a very memorable dish. My mom had the lamb chops I am sorry I couldn't fit it in or I would have had that too! Now for dessert the perfect dessert cheesecake with a meringue topping. What a great way to end this meal. Sorry the cruise wasn't longer as I would definitely go twice or more times in the cruise.

Jamie's Is one of the Restaurants on Royal Caribbean Anthem of the seas which is not free and not part of the dnyamic meal package. Wife and I went there the second night to eat. I would have to say the selection is extremely lacking, But I am more of a chicken parm man myself. They had alot of good appetizers but was not that happy with the main course selections. The service was fantastic and the staff really great.

Although Jamie's isn't part of the free and dynamic meal package, my boyfriend and I were still interested in trying Jamie's Italian since Jamie Oliver is part of Food Network. On our third evening, we had dinner for a night away from his family. We made and came for our reservation at 6PM and dinner was $30 per person. I really liked the restaurant because it was comfortable, casual, hip and spacious. It was very different from the restaurants that are available in the dynamic meal package. The staff were very friendly and nice. Our server was very friendly and helpful and made recommendations of what we should order and try. We ordered the following appetizers: Crispy Squid (fried squid with garlic mayonnaise, lemon & chilli) - the crispy squid was delicious and fried to golden perfection. Proscuitto & Melon - this was amazing and delicious! It complimented each other very well. Baked Chestnut Mushrooms - the baked chestnut mushrooms was delicious and filled with king oyster, Paris brown mushrooms in a baked chestnut crust. It was insanely delicious and crunchy. In my opinion, it felt like a mushroom pie. Rocket Parmesan Salad - we realized we didn't have much vegetables in our meal, so we ordered an additional salad that was tasty ,simple, and rustic! We were also given their complimentary ultimate garlic bread which was warm artisan buttermilk buns, herby garlic butter, Bella Lodi & rosemary. The ultimate garlic bread was fluffy, moist, and delicious! This was possibly one of the best garlic breads I've had so far. For entrees, we had: Caprese Risotto - this was fairy delicious at the beginning, but later on it got pretty salty so that's why I didn't finish it. However, I did like that it was bright and warm colors and inviting. Taglitatelle Bolognese - this is from Gennaro's original pork & beef Bolognese receipe slowly cooked with red wine and served with herby breadcrumbs and Parmesan. This dish was mediocre and I've definitely had better. For desserts, we had Tiramisu and cheesecake which were both mediocre. Overall it was fun experience at Jamie's Italian and I am glad we got to try it. Looking forward to trying it again!

3 main courses that were ordered. The rest was not ordered. This was what was left after we were full and done eating.

Hello, the wonderful staff at my favorite restaurant Americano!…read moreHappy Easter to all! Such meaningful Holiday was celebrated by all this Easter of 2026! The place was packed with well dressed people! It was like one happy family came to celebrate life! My boyfriend and I came for a Sunday brunch! We were there for dinner the night before on Saturday and truly enjoyed the food, especially a lovely surprise- 2 singing guitar players! I could sing along every song they played! I had my favorite antipasto salad, chicken Marsala with mushrooms, my boyfriend had the wedge salad, chicken parmigiana, and for desert we shared the amazing napoleon.. I learned that their pastry chef bakes fresh pastries every morning! I also love the coconut cake - it's amazing! I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to create a special Valentine's party! Every woman received a long stem white or red rose in its own water holder! There were rose petals on the floor and every song played was a Love song! What a lovely touch making every woman so special! I truly felt loved! And thank you for a special Valentine menu, which included heart shaped ravioli, heart shaped pizza, special $8.00 non- alcoholic drinks with little marshmallows in them.. The place was booked for Valentine's! Every table was taken! Dear Americano! Thank you for creating such an amazing place that makes me feel like home every time! I enjoyed the 8 piece Latin band.. I even got to dance a bit.. Keep up the good work! Im grateful to have a place like this right here in Bayonne, practically in my back yard.. I can listen to live jazz without traveling to NYC! Dear Lance! Thank you for such brave idea to create a James Bond/Hollywood style restaurant! Bayonne really needed that! Sometimes when I'm there I get confused, thinking I'm in NY City! And I can actually walk home! Amen! I can't wait for May 19th jazz group - Champion Fulton - a lady jazz pianist who sounds like Billy Holiday, great saxophone player - recording artists from NYC. It's my boyfriend's birthday .. he licked out! Thank you! Sophia

Staff is very professional and friendly, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Honestly, all the food is great here but some of my favorites are definitely the carpaccio and calamari appetizer (the calamari is the BEST I ever had, hands down) and their coffee panacota for dessert is also out of this world, just amazing! If you are a bread lover just know they make their own bread in house. 5 stars always!

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

I was a bit hesitant to try despite the strong positive reviews, because I also read reviews about it being hard to get a table and they can be rude and its a whole thing and blah blah blah. I am glad I didn't listen to those reviews! It was an amazing experience and Angelina and her son were so nice to us. Yes you have to call up a couple of times to make a reservation and put in your food order, but trust me it's worth it. The decor is nothing like any other restaurants, and the whole experience is nothing like another restaurant. The decor is loud, American and flashy, with an undertone of warmth given by the red and Christmas lights strung everywhere. 4th of July meets Christmas meets Election Day, also somehow it evoked a feeling of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Over the bar area a TV was playing the football playoffs and also a radio was playing jazz and swing music. It's literally like going over someone's house. In a really good way, you feel welcomed and taken care of. Angelina's son pours your glass of wine to the brim and refills your sangria at no charge. He even taught us how to eat the stuffed artichoke after he saw us scooping it on our plate. Instead he said just take a leaf off and suck everything out. Which actually made so much sense and made the experience eating the appetizer much better. I never had a stuffed artichoke before so I can't compare it to anything, but it was a really fun experience eating it and was buttery and delicious. Food came out pretty quickly. The artichoke came out probably just 15 minutes after we sat down. The meals seem to range from 20-40 dollars a dish. I assume the prices fluctuate more than your average restaurant. Which is fine to me, food is more expensive nowadays and these portions are huge and delicious. It's family style! The artichoke was $22, the eggplant parm $30, lasagna $38 and the chicken marsala $40. Glass of wine $10, Sangria $13. Cash only I believe. 3 people could probably share one entree and feel content enough to go home. But we got 3 entrees and an appetizer for 4 people. We have dinner for the rest of the week! Prepare to overeat when you come here. The Eggplant parm was stand-out for me. It was my favorite. The sauce was sweet and light, and the eggplant was crispy and flavorful. The lasagna had a different tomato sauce on it, also good. The cheese in the lasagna was really good as well. There was also a side of pasta handed to us, not sure which dish it was supposed to accompany. It also had red sauce on it, but tasted different from the two other red sauces! That's a real level of detail, make 3 different red sauces when you could just use the same. It's just such good quality food. The bread that was brought out was very good as well, soft, - a good dipping bread! Ask for dessert because the Cannoli was delicious! I want to come back and try tiramisu if they have it. We spent 2 hours here. There were only 2 other tables on a Saturday night. I don't think it's as coveted as it used to be, it's easy to call her. Just find it on google maps and press the call button. I called when the place is closed (before 4:30), because I assume she is busy cooking and attending to the guests during dinner time. Then you just reserve a date and time. She messages you the menu. Though for some reason the text never came through on my phone so I called back and asked if she can send it to my husband's phone number. She did, and we got the menu. I called her back up told her our food order and a week later we sat down and enjoyed our delicious meal! This place is the best, and a really great place to go when your new to the town. They have been here all their lives and know everyone. I felt welcomed and now a true member of the Bayonne community. We will definitely be back.

Cozy and definitely feels like an old school Italian restaurant. Servers are welcoming and super friendly. Attentive but not too attentive. We made a reservation by calling, it was busy but there were still a few tables empty on a Saturday night. The bartender greeted us with a big smile. Honestly this place should be busier it's much better than the other Italian restaurants in town. We started off with calamari. $20. Perfect texture, and flavor. Not too salty, and not chewy at all. It was delicious. I got chicken martini off the specials menu, and it was two thin sliced chicken breasts in a lemon caper sauce with tomatoes and artichokes. It was exactly what I wanted and the chicken was soft, moist and delicious. It's a little pricey for the portion I think it was $34 but it wasn't the biggest plate of food. My husband got a pasta dish that he loved, it was homemade stuffed pasta with spinach and cheese. The menu had a lot of creative dishes on there, not all typical Italian dishes you would normally find. Dinner comes with fried polenta and carrots and broccoli which is a nice touch. There is another Italian restaurant in Bayonne that does that, I haven't seen that done before I moved here. I do like it! It's nice that a side like that is complimentary. And the bread is complimentary as well, it's a big baguette and it was super soft and flavorful but crunchy on the outside, very good for free bread! I also liked how they had two sets of forks so you didn't have to keep your appetizer fork for dinner. They also box the food up in the back so you don't have to do it yourself. Excellent service. I would definitely come back here again.
