I needed a small tree ground up and an agave plant removed. After he ground the tree stump he took a shovel and removed all of the remaining roots. He did a great job and cleaned up nicely after he was done. Reasonable price too. I would definitely recommend Jaegers. read more

Ty Jaeger was very responsive an had an estimate available a few hours after evaluating the job. He had a crew available the next day and they were there at the prescribed time. They removed three overhanging branches from a large English Walnut tree and trimed a Palm tree. They did a nice job cleaning up afterward. Ty provided a estimate for the work we needed. The estimate was emailed to me with photos' based on our discussion. Within 24 hours, we were placed on their schedule for the next day. The foreman of the crew walked with me to insure all work, as he understood would be completed. The shrubs, trees and hedges, were completed, picked up and exceeded our expectations. They did a heck of a job! Very organized and skilled crew. I would highly recommend if you need trees cut down. We had 5 redwood trees cut down in our neighborhood and the they cut them all down in 6 hours and then stump grinded all of them in another 6 hours. Don't be fooled by Ty's friendly banter he is exceptionally rigid on the payment policy to the point of expecting hand delivery to his office. He refused to accept my credit card over the phone. He threatened significant penalties if full payment was not received on the day of service. read more

We just had a horrible experience with Jaeger's Tree Service. They clearly don't care about customer satisfaction. Ty Jager was quick to come for the estimate and payment. He promised a quote in writing. Never received it. He never once spoke to me - a Woman. Very very rude!! At the end of the job I asked his men to cut off one small 30" limb (with multiple raw cut ends on it - I felt it was an eyesore). He was clearly annoyed. Instead of cutting off the small limb he cut out a huge limb leaving a huge hole in our tree line and left a large jagged trunk showing 3' above our fence. I asked them to cut off ugly trunk. They refused. (Was this retaliatory and intentional?? I can't be sure.) When Ty was shown the problem he LAUGHED and said he didn't charge us for it. Never once asked or tried to make it right. We paid good money and expected a good professional attitude and job. A LITTLE CUSTOMER SERVICE GOES A LONG WAY - YOU SHOULD TRY IT!! DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR PROBLEM WITH WOMEN IS. They made a mistake cutting out trees. The owner was rude and mean to my mother. Will not use this company again.

We had 5 dead and 1 dying redwood trees (~30ft) that needed to be taken down. I had inquired about with other tree services and suffered a bit of sticker shock. I just wanted the trees felled and I would limb and buck the wood. I received Ty's flyer (Jaeger's Tree Service) in the mail and figured I would have him out for a estimate. Long story short, he came over on Saturday, gave the estimate, I happily agreed and the trees are down Wednesday morning. Ty and his crew were very polite and respectful of my property and did a great job. The crew was safe and responsible and ensured everything was set and ready as they worked a tree at time. The crew needed to drop a couple trees very close an RV, the house and one close between a garage and shed--all the trees were dropped on a dime. It was really nice watching a professional crew work and supporting a small local business. They were great. We had a giant tree in front of house close to neighbors. And three tree stumps in back yard. They came by with a reasonable quote. They were here bright early to start work. I'm an old retired landscape contractor and needed a 100 ft redwood removed by my pool. They did it quickly and safely and did a good cleanup after they were done. Good crew of guys. He did a good job for a reasonable price. Initially contacted to trim the dead leaves off of my palm trees but the last minute we decided to cut them both down. Quote for both services were pretty good. He also had a good attitude about the unplanned change. It took a little long to get a final date set. But once his crew showed up, they did a good job and were quick and efficient. I took off one star because he left the trunks in front of my house and said the city would pick them up. However, the city said they were too large and now I'm having to figure out what to do with them. read more

Had Ty's crew come over to take down a tree (cut to 16" minus for firewood in a small fireplace) and grind the stump and roots away. Price was fair. The problem was over half the pieces they left were 18" to 22" and more. I will have to spend hours trimming these pieces down to fit in my fireplace. When I informed the owner/foreman of this situation he did not want to listen. In fact I had to hang up on him because of his argumentative attitude. My tenant tipped the crew because he thought they were working hard and was happy his tree was coming down, but he didn't realize they were not doing the job per contract by leaving such large pieces. Owners/Foreman like Ty is what I don't miss, being a retired Construction Inspector for 20 years. read more
