Last night my husband and I ordered from this takeout for the first time. I will admit that was because every other Chinese establishment in Long Beach and all other local areas are closed. The food was really very good! We were surprised because though it is the closest to our building, it never looked appealing from the outside. (There you go, never judge a book by its cover). We stuck to the basics since it was our first time (wonton soup, egg rolls, pork lo mein, chicken chow mien etc. ). Definitely not disappointed. read more

What a crappy fast food restaurant! Went to grab a quick lunch...I was the only customer in the place and they weren't busy at all....except for watching a movie on an ipad! Clearly they were more interested in the movie then actually helping their ONLY customer! I ordered the spare rib combo plate from their lunch menu. Took 15 minutes for this simple order...again, not a single other customer in the place...3 employees!! The food was really gross...they fried the ribs rather than broiling them. There were all of 3...yes 3 small, greasy ribs...a ton of fried rice that was flavorless...and wonton soup that was also flavorless with 4 soggy/mushy wontons. Lots of other fast food Chinese places...avoid this 1 at all costs!! I used to like this place way back when, but clearly new owners, or same owners who could care less about customers!! My review from July was taken down. This place is a roach fest. They crawled out of our food that was delivered. Called them and they didn't care. Called the Nassau County Health Department and they inspected and agreed. Check out their health report, and you'll stay away. Let's see if Yelp deletes this again. read more

Jade Restaurant is the only Chinese delivery in Long Beach/Island Park/Oceanside that charged me $3.00 delivery fee and I'm located in Park Ave. $21.00 is too expensive for 1 person. I have been going to this place for over 10 years. It's my favorite Chinese food place. It's affordable and the food taste great, which makes it great for dates. It is a small place so it is not the place to have a giant family gathering but thats what also makes it nice. Their is rarely a long line and the cooks are very friendly. My friend is vegan and they made accommodations for her, which is why this is the perfect mom and pop shop. read more

They have great wonton soup with thin wrapped wontons instead of the typical doughy kind. Excellent chow fon noodles that they dont mind using in customized soup with roast duck. Yummy!! They do alot of fried foods which can be hard on a fragile stomach but their twice sauteed pork and their singapore mei fin dishes are wonderful. Usually good timely deliveries.
