My philosophy on take out Chinese food is that you should order from the joint that's closest to you. Panda Garden happens to be that spot. Delivery is always fast. We've tried several places in LB and Oceanside and nothing is really worth traveling to. These guys are at least consistent. Couple of hiccups along the way, but it's our go to. Classic egg foo yung and fried rice are good. Ribs are tasty. Spicy Chicken and eggplant is a good choice too. Egg rolls contain both pork and shrimp. Damn your allergies!! read more

Another good dinner from the Panda. There are a lot of good Chinese restaurants in Long Beach, this is one of my favorites. I called for delivery and Jaden answered. I went through an order with all kinds of changes to menu items because my kids are picky and I'm trying to cut down on sodium. He gave me some cool suggestions and it worked out. Keep in mind some of these dishes were modified a bit (some ingredients were left out or replaced with other ones). But here's what we got tonight and it was good. I cannot recommend Panda Garden , even though my husband's shrimp dumplings and tofu vegetable soup were good. However, my dinner was misstated. The menu said sautéed baby bok Choi. I asked to have shiitake mushrooms added and brown sauce. We were called to say they didn't have black mushrooms; I agreed to substitute fresh mushrooms. Well, what arrived was not BABY bok Choi with mushrooms AND NO brown sauce. It was mostly the bottoms of large bok Choi, a few over cooked tops , mushrooms and that was it. Bland as could be. Every order is fresh and meat is recognizable as well as authentic. The rice is fresh and waiting forever a pick up I was able to see how meticulous their preparation of each meal was made as well as cleanliness of waiting area. They adhere to strict social distancing and everyone wears masks. It is a contactless establishment and well worth the price of food. They provide utensils and extra sauce as well as fortune cookies which is such a relief when many places charge for these items and often forget to provide them. They don't cringe on special requests and truly know how to provide customer service. There are no language barriers and they repeat the order to confirm accuracy before placing it and asking for payment. In the midst of so many other eateries around them, they hold their own in Long Beach for sure. read more

A-OK Chinese takeout from Panda Garden! Expecting nothing when I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised after all was said and done. No outdated 70's menu pic on the wall here, you're ordering from a normal looking menu here. The menu is pretty standard, although they have Japanese dishes too. I stuck with some soup and steamed chicken with a garlic sauce on the side. The eggdrop/wonton soup was above average as was the chicken (it actually looked like chicken!). I'll never understand why it's $3 extra to get a steamed chicken dish, as opposed to a combo platter of chicken, pork fried rice, soup and soda, but whatever. My body loves me spending that extra $3. Overall, not too bad! Would come back when I'm in need of a quick bite. Protip: call ahead. There isn't a great waiting area inside the joint Bonus points: the inside looks way better than the outside. A few normal booths inside. One of my favorite rainy Sunday activities is eating Chinese food, on my couch, with my dog, while watching tacky tv. In my sweatpants (i know what you're thinking...this girl is SO HOT). This place is ok. Not great, but not bad. They're quick on the delivery which is great and they have decent deals (if you spend 15 dollars they give you noodles, stuff like that). The sushi is ok, but it's heavy on the rice and light on the fish. From the Chinese food side I've tried sesame chicken (ok), general tsos (ok) and chicken chow fun (I think that's what it's called, I like big flat noodles!) but it's actually bland. I have to say that I've had some delicious food from panda Garden the last few times I've been there and my family loves it too. They were surprised to hear that it was from panda garden because in the past we were not that happy with the food. We just had sesame chicken (all white meat), fried dumplings, crab Rangoon and beef fried rice and everything was delicious. Made fresh and was piping hot even after going to pick it up. Grease central ! Delivery is fast but it really isn't so hot..... I couldn't even say three stars to give the A-OK... it's just alright, not even a-ok....I wouldn't waste your money......since it is delivery you can call someone else who will deliver (I love Kam Cheng- spelling?) I ordered shrimp toast and it was just greasy beyond edibility..... Super nice people though lol. My kids go there pretty often (teens) since it's around the corner and it's fine for them. Chinese food in Long Beach is more about what you don't get than what you get. After a 30-year relationship with Jade, down the block from Long Beach Boulevard I found an order teeming with live roaches, so I had to find a new supplier. Panda Garden's a few blocks away and a quick search for "bugs" found no mention in its reviews. I ordered Chicken with Broccoli, Pork Fried Rice and of course Colonel Tao's Chicken. Instantly a little guy appeared at my door with the stuff. Truly, the order was in my hands in twenty minutes. Twenty-four bucks later I had my Chinese food. What I didn't get was grease, MSG or roaches. Also didn't get much taste. The rice was dry, as was the Colonel. It didn't give me heartburn and only a minimal stomach ache. There was some unidentifiable chewy grizzle in the chicken, but that's normal fare for Chinese food. I'm sure that only the finest cuts of chicken breast go into any Colonel Taos'. Egg Rolls? The usual pre-made Mott Street Supply ones in their little baggies. But for the first time I wasn't squeezing out the grease. Long Beach is a town that seems to reward restaurants with the cheapest food, regardless of the gruel they serve. Based on this standard, Panda Garden excels, as the stuff is indeed edible, doesn't cause heartburn and appears free of live bugs. I'll order again from Panda. But I'll probably avoid any meat that I can't examine before biting so as to shun the grizzle, skin and whatever other crunchies I couldn't forensically identify. read more

We love this place! Panda Garden is the best in Long Beach for Chinese Food. Tried many other places, this is by far the best one. They food is great, the service is fast. We usually go and eat there once per week. The prices are good, the service is phenomenal and the food is fresh. I usually get the Singapore Mei Fun or the steamed beef and my husband gets General T'so Chicken or Sesame Chicken and some sushi rolls. We love it. read more

Solid Chinese take out at Panda, it's been here for as long as I can remember, the same owners I believe as well. The food has always been consistently good, the inside of the place is clean and not greasy looking at all, no mess ups with the orders and deliveries are typically within 20 minutes. I ordered pork LoMein and pork fried rice. They were both the most tasteless Chinese food I ever ate. I also ordered 3 pieces of salmon sushi, 2 pieces octopus, and 2 flying fish roe. The flying fish roe was fine, the octopus didn't taste good and instead of delivering me salmon they delivered 3 pieces of shrimp. I won't bother ordering from them ever again. read more
