Nice place to stop if traveling on I-8 or in the area. Mom & Pop feel, small and quaint inside. We need to support these small businesses or they will die. Food, Chicken fried steak ($13.50) tasted real (not frozen) with very good gravy on top. O/Eggs good but I didn't like the frozen / fried potato chunks. My wife did like them. Rye bread toast was great! Biscuits and gravy ($6) good, biscuits ok, gravy very good. Key lime pie nice and fresh ($5) Overall, enjoyed our meal and great service. Keep in mind, this place is in the middle of of nowhere so food, service etc. is hard to deal with from a business perspective. Prices very fair as well. read more

The best thing about this place was the service. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. We have been here three times previously and it was pretty good for a small dive. Things have gone downhill. I ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo. There was so much potato, I could not taste the chorizo. The salsa was watery and bland. I would pay another dollar for more chorizo. My husband ordered a hamburger. The patty was a small pathetic piece of pressed burger that barely made it to the edges of the bun. It was comparable to a cheap burger at McDonalds with no flavor. My husband said it was like eating cardboard. The ketchup was a cheap brand and contained high fructose corn syrup. The only redeeming item was the key lime pie, which was surprisingly good and homemade. We have driven out of our way to eat here but no more. I can make it better at home. Very small diner (5 tables inside and 5 outside and 6 seats at the counter) that were full at 8:30 am on a Sunday. We ordered the chicken fried steak, southwest omelet, and the "special" omelete. We were furtunate to arrive just as someone was leaving, so we got a table inside. Our menus, drinks, and order was taken quickly. After a short wait, the food arrived. The chicken fried steak has a very tasty gravy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The omelets were as expected. The Southwest was served with a interesting salsa on the side, which I enjoyed. Portion sizes were normal. My wife was actually able to almost eat her entire meal, which never happens. One in our group decided to get a slice of key lime pie for breakfast dessert (I didn't know that was a thing!) so I ordered a hunk of banana cream cheese pie. All I have to say about the pies is OMG, best ever! Lastly the prices are good for an overall good meal. read more

Was ok. We got the breakfast special omelette with sausage, spinach, and cheese. It came with toast and great hash browns. It was tasty sausage although they were rather stingy with the fillings. The spinach especially, come on people... how expensive is it to add a little more spinach leaves? We got one meal as we weren't very hungry and they literally charged us for an extra plate! read more

Small little diner off the I-8. We stopped on our way back to San Diego from Tucson for lunch. Service was very fast and the staff was extremely kind and accommodating. Prices are great. I ordered the Cubana sandwich which was good- nothing fancy as it should be- and the bread was pillow soft. Mom got the shaved prime rib which she enjoyed and said the meat was very tender. Fries were nice and crispy. Bathrooms are a little rough but could be worse I suppose. The place has character! read more

A gem hidden in a tiny town. But the locals know. The food is excellent. The service is superb. You feel like family from the minute you enter until you leave. You might find a better looking restaurant but you'd be hard pressed to find better food. Especially in the Tacna/Wellton AZ area. read more

We ordered off the menu and had dinner plate sized tenderloin sandwiches. It was the best! And I got the last piece of homemade apple pie! My sister got the last piece of homemade carrot cake! Both were delicious! I recommend this place for food, and the service was outstanding! read more

Glad we found this place. Left San Diego at 5am and boys were starting to get severely hangry by the time we rolled in around 9:30. Extra crispy bacon and solid French Toast and pancakes. Everyone had plenty to eat and the prices were great. Will stop again next time we come through! read more

Stopped here with a toddler that was ready to get out of the car and had a great meal with a flexible staff as we ran in and out changing diapers etc - and though there's no "official" kid's menu, we got a grilled cheese with fries (and pickles - which my daughter was enthralled with!). My BLT was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his burger that was on special today! They will be on vacation for a couple of weeks after today, so we're glad they were here so we could try them out and have full happy bellies as we head to San Diego! read more

This was a wonderful brunch spot! The atmosphere, food and service was fantastic. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and it was mouth watering. Fresh, fast and delicious food. The menu has everything including great sides. We enjoyed the meat and cheese omelette with veggies and I think it's the best omelette I have ever eaten. It was beautiful! I also ate the biscuits and gravy which was incredible. The English muffin is gourmet and all the fixin's you need are right there on the table. Our waitress was very pleasant and kind and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. We look forward to eating here again soon! read more
