Found this place on the way to San Diego after a nearby food truck we were planning to try was closed and I'm glad we got the chance to eat here. We were greeted by a super nice, friendly, and quick witted lady behind the counter named Lucy who answered our questions and took our order. I thought it was awesome that she was talking and joking around with everyone who came in. I had 4 tacos - al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, and fish. I liked the pastor and asada the best as they had the most flavor. The carnitas was tender but didn't have much flavor and was a bit more dry than I like, but they did have good salsa. I typically like the carnitas that are crispier and juicier. The fish was soft, flaky and tasty. I'd rate the overall food 4 to 4.5 but the service and the fact that it was a small local place pushes it up to a 5 in my book. It's always nice when you meet someone like Lucy who truly enjoys her job and makes it a fun experience for the customers. I would definitely eat here again, and we might have on the way back but found out they were closed on Saturday around lunch time, so I would recommend calling them to check their hours because the hours on Yelp are not correct. The only thing I hate about this place is that I had no idea it existed. We ran across it during a thrifting day and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you these are some of the best tacos I've had in Yuma in a long time. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant while dates gives off a dive bar homey vibe; like your local neighborhood establishment that's been there for generations. The tacos from the tortilla up are great well seasoned generous portions and cooked just right. We tried about 5 different types of tacos and were impressed with each one but their fish tacos are the superb. The condiment bar is kept covered and chilled so everything tastes cool and crispy to compliment the hot tacos and gives it that needed texture. All red sauce for pork belly tastes like mom used to make, the carne asada are seasoned well, the cactus (nopal) signature taco is cheesy savory (don't recommend you add lemon) and the fish taco is not overly breaded and the fish is generally portioned to give you a decent meal. I'm happy to have found such a quaint spot in Yuma well definitely be back to try the rest of their menu. Oh yes and they encourage you to bring your own beer CHEERS! read more

It'll last me 3 days. I had the red enchilada sauce added, and the sauce was tasty. The only thing I didn't like is that there was white rice in it. I've never had a California burrito that had rice, it's a bit too much with the fries. Stopped by The Wicked Tacos after a long tromp through the desert looking for flat tailed lizards. I tried the nopales taco wicked style and a fish taco. Their tacos are street style so I would recommend more than one taco for a meal. I really enjoyed their selection of toppings and when we arrived it was before the lunch rush so I felt very comfortable fixing my tacos in the restaurant. I was glad to see they had two different cremas for the fish taco, a selection of hot sauces radishes and pickled onions. The tacos themselves were good. The nopales was a bit messy due to the cheese but overall enjoyable and the fish was decent but not overly memorable. All in all the service was great and I liked the toppings bar so I would definitely try this place again and perhaps try a different selection of tacos or maybe one of their entire plates. read more

This place is a small taco shop in a strip mall. They were very busy. I ordered the 2 potato flautas (aka potato rolled tacos.) they were very short and drowning in crema. They didn't make it to the table before they were soggy from the quantity of crema. The tacos themselves were ok. I think if I were to try them again, I'd go for some street tacos hold the crema. While I still absolutely love getting food here, I have been disappointed in a couple of dishes recently and wanted to update my review to let y'all know what's up. Firstly, I would steer clear of anything they serve that has the nacho cheese sauce on it (I know the wicked fries / nachos do...) because I'm pretty sure it's basically just cheez whiz. Bleh! Hard pass. Secondly, the most recent tacos I ordered included the fish taco and shrimp taco. Both had TINY pieces of meat in them (and half of that was the fried breading anyway) and they were really disappointing. I didn't think to take a photo. All of that aside, anything else I have gotten with carne asada or chicken (tacos, keto bowl, burritos) has been outstanding. The nopales is delicious too! I love the pico, salsa, and guac here. The tortilla chips are always crisp and fresh and never too greasy. The prices are really great! I will continue to eat here for sure! read more

We have only been to The Wicked Taco twice. We ordered carne Tortas both times because they were so yummy the first time!! We are not spicy people, so we did ask that they not add the pico and the jalapeños! They add beans to the Torta which give it a little bit of a different tasting experience. They have a taco bar area where you can add additional toppings to the dishes you order. I am not a fan of the liquid avocado, but it tastes ok. The first time we went, something in the sandwich was a little too salty, but because we typically don't add salt to our food, it is likely that others would not find it so salty! The carne was yummy and the bread was fresh. If you like your Torta cut in half, you need to request that beforehand as they serve it uncut. As for the prices, yes, it is a bit more pricey than one of the taco stands, but keep in mind, they have a much higher rent and A.C. bill to pay!! All the employees were very friendly and Lucy was a sweetheart both times we were there! The only reason I gave them a four star rating is because there isn't an option for 4.5 and I would much rather prefer having real plates and utensils versus cheap paper plates and flimsy forks/knives! read more
