So this is a mixed review. This is my 2nd time here and I had recalled having a good experience last year. I was eating crabs by myself so went with a dozen of the mixed small/medium female crabs . At my normal crab spot this is usually fine for me. I was very very disappointed with the size of these small crabs. In fact I've never had crabs this small. And if it was a true mix, perhaps i wouldn't be as disappointed , however i had 2 medium and 10 small crabs. The flavor was great. I love their flavor. My review is an overall 4 because their crabs do taste good but I'm rather disappointed with the size and makeup of their mixed dozen. I will try them again to experience another size crab some point this summer. read more

People were nice, the crabs looked cooked well and the prices were average but.... Crabs were so light the felt like plastic display crabs. Opened the bag before I left and there was maybe 5% of the seasoning that you see on the pic uploaded here. I asked for more seasoning and they obliged. My last visit was yesterday 7/18/21 my Daughter-in-law brought me some lrg male crabs for $70 as a gift and we received sm/med light weight crabs. She only ate 2 and gave up. I hadn't had Maryland crabs in decades. I grew up 1/2 mile from Jac's when it was "Jackies" (Long Bar Harbor). Living in Boston now (Go Sox). Jac's only had mediums and smalls left . I got a dozen of mediums $42 and shared them with my 92 year old mother. She pounded down 4 of them! Kudos to Jacs! Crabs were well seasoned and heavy. We were taking US 40 as an alternate route to I-95 and looking for something to eat. The usual fast food places in the commercial strip of Aberdeen looked very unappetizing. Once we left the strip, the bright red and yellow colors of the crab shack caught our attention. We are glad that we stopped. This was the best crab cake that we have ever had in a long time! We have been to a number of other top rated places (Faidleys, G&M, etc.) and this place is right up there and maybe better, but way cheaper - $10 per cake. It was made of pure, sweet, succulent, crab meat and didn't contain any fillers (breadcrumbs, etc.) and seasonings (mustard, etc.). I forgot to ask about the source of the crabs. On the other hand, the fries that came with it weren't crispy and hard a cardboard texture to them. Although we didn't get any steamed crabs, the prices were 30-40% cheaper than DC and quality seemed better. In conclusion, we are always stopping here for a meal when we drive up to NYC. read more

Tried them for the first time tonight, Got the $1 crab special, which were some of the FULLEST, MOST FLAVORFUL crabs I've ever had. These crabs filled me up, and we all know crabs hardly EVER do that. Some of the best seasoning I've personally ever had. A+ customer service and hardly any wait time. I was craving some seafood and my search led me here. I got the steamed jumbo shrimp and Maryland Crab soup. I was surprised to find that they take the raw shrimp straight from the case and steam it up for you as you order. That was an excellent touch, fresh hot food that was still steaming when I got back to the hotel. The seasoning on the shrimp was note perfect and the coctail sauce wotked with it well. Not too strong and matched up with the seasoning perfectly. The soup was really good too. The only draw back was that there really wasn't much crab in the soup and because it's not really crab based it was more like a tomato based veggie soup.
