I have used Dr jacobs over the years but have noticed a decline in his service and treatment quality. But I went to see him today, and this was the final straw. All he did wAs talk about some nonsense cream he is pushing and refused to do the treatment I went in for. He spent my whole appt seemingly trying to impress his 2 assistants or whoever they were with us. DID NOT do the treatment sand just babbled. I asked about my treatment they were all leaving the office he said try the cream he is now pushing. I never heard of it and it was not going to correct what I went in for....I have concluded that he probably makes a huge kickback on the creams he is prescribing, why else would he be pushing them soo hard. I will never set foot in his office again as in my opinion, he is getting too old to be an effective dermatologist. His quality was never top notch but because he is the only dermatologist in my insurance coverage, I continued to use him. But again, NEVER AGAIN!! read more

The wait time can be kind of lengthy but it's honestly worth it. Dr. charity is honestly one of the best doctors I've ever had and I recommend her to everyone I know. She's not only very knowledgeable but she always makes my concerns feel heard. My primary doctor wouldn't prescribe me medicine for a problem I was having and was extremely unhelpful in providing me treatment options. (A lot of the times I would even have to inform her of possible treatments) I asked to see a specialist finally and was sent to Dr. Jacobs. Charity listened to all my concerns and immediately prescribed me the right medication(also with a good amount of refills) and offered me other treatment options as well without issue. Dr. Jacobs is kind, personal and v. good as a dr. however after several years I am leaving. I finally gave the office my last goodbye. It is the dr. who is ultimately responsible for how booked or how many patients he wants to see in a block of time on his schedual. He tells the receptionist how busy he wants to be and a good appointment desk will run it smoothly. So sad that someone could take the profession of physician and put it to such shame by being so careless! I was misdiagnosed twice by the PA then by the Dr. I was pregnant and miserable for 3 and a half months without any treatment AT ALL by this guy. I hardly ever leave negative reviews, but for the sake of anyone reading this, DO NOT GO TO HIM! Went to the room. Another 5-7 mins. Boom. Charity came in. What an awesome personality. Attentive. Amazing energy. Gave me good feed back. Dr. Jacobs was absolutely AMAZING! He is very knowledgeable and thorough and really concerned about his patients. Granted the wait might be a little longer but I rather wait longer and have a caring doctor that takes his time to answer all my questions and concerns. Charrity Morris is an amazing Doctor, I have a sever condition this has made me at times in my life feel suiciadal. In 60 yr's I've never encountered ANYWHERE such an incompetent ***** receptionist. Tells you they won't get the paperwork "for 5 days at least". Waiting "won't be done in time". Not. Dr. Jacobs is the BEST Dermatologist!!! He's intelligent and efficient at what he does. I had horrible acne and acne scars for many years and now my skin is acne-free and flawless. What I admire about him is that he takes the time to explain and really educate you about your diagnosis. I always look forward to coming to his office because, I always learn something new from him. He's very informative! I've also had several moles removed from him. Thanks to him, he helped me get rid of what possibly could've turned into a bad Skin Cancer!!! So for that, he helped save my life. Also, when it comes to performing biopsies or any other type of procedure, he always makes sure that you're comfortable. I usually see Charity, the Nurse Practitioner. For her I would give 4 stars. She is quick and personable. I saw her last week for a regular exam, but then realized that I had forgotten to ask her about a lump on my leg that I suspect is a cyst. I called to see if I could get a quick follow up. I was told they only do full appointments. Rather than wait 6-8 weeks for an appointment with Charity, I scheduled with Dr. Jacobs. Last week with Charity, I waited about 10 minutes. Today, I waited 45 minutes to be brought into the exam room, waited another 20 minutes in the room and was seen for all of 5 minutes. Unacceptable to wait that long! I will never make another appointment with Dr. Jacobs at the Corona office. Instead I will wait to see Charity in Temecula or find a new Doctor! read more

OK, having seen the only other review I felt compelled to write my own. About a month ago I was seen by Dr. Randy Jacobs in his office off Magnolia in Corona. Staff was friendly. Office was clean. Movie was playing in the waiting room. Wait time was average. When I met Dr. Jacobs I was instantly drawn to his personality. Very un-doctor-like. More like a friend who was there to take a look and see if he could help. Didn't weigh me down with a lot of clinical "tech-talk" that I might not have understood. Instead he checked me thoroughly, put me at ease about a skin question I had, and pointed out that he wanted to have a closer look at one particular spot. He took a biopsy, then finished his exam. He told me that if the spot was skin cancer we could take care of it pretty easily. We talked for quite awhile more about my working in the sun, how to be more careful with sun block and then he re-scheduled me for a follow up when the biopsy tests came back. 3 weeks later I received a letter saying the spot was a "Basal Cell Carcinoma (common low grade skin cancer) and I confirmed an appointment to see him in a few days to take care of that. So, my overall feeling about Randy Jacobs' office was that I would certainly recommend them. Dr. Jacobs is a quirky guy; meaning he is not like the average clinical doctor. To me he just totally came across as someone I instantly felt comfortable having a conversation with and discussing my possible issues with. Yes! Go see them. I have had two appointments with Dr. Jacobs. Both times I waited in the waiting room for two hours before being seen only to be rushed through my exam. Dr. Jacobs merely glanced at my skin condition before prescribing medication that did not work. He was very hurried to leave the exam room and had no patience to answer my questions. I had a 2:30 appointment with Dr. Jacobs and an hour later when I went to the receptionist to see if I would be seeing him soon, she said he still had 2 other patients ahead and she had "no idea" when he'd be able to see me. After waiting one hour and a half, with no end in sight as to when I'd actually see Dr. Jacobs, I finally had to leave. I understand sometimes patients need to wait beyond their scheduled appointment time, but I feel this was exceptional. There was not an empty seat in the waiting room and it's obvious Dr. Jacobs is more concerned with meeting a daily quota than having a reasonable schedule where he can see patients in a timely manner. I asked the receptionist to refund my co-pay and she did. Just as I was leaving she told me "I would have be next" if I had not "given up my place in line." Are you kidding?? Dr. Jacobs appeared in the hallway just then and could see I was frustrated. He came over and asked what was wrong and "what (I) wanted. " I self-diagnosed a prescription I researched online and (in the hallway, mind you) told him what is was. He said "ok" and that was it - that was my visit. That was 2 weeks ago and I just received an invoice in the mail billing me for "hallway visit" co-pay. Unreal. read more

Terrible Office! Never use this Dermatologist! The staff is rude, the front office team treats you like they wish you were not there. If you have ever experienced a place where the employees hate their job, this is it! Just had a check up with Doctor Randy for general skin spots and specificly a Squamous cell carcinoma I had on my third finger tip that started out as a wart. A year ago he had to remove the cancer off my finger tip with a deep incision then send sample to lab for biopsy. This can take time but so important for proper treatment It came back with positive margins and we had to make the decision to cut out more and part of the finger nail. Being a guitar player the decision was difficult but necessary and now today it is healed totally only a slight loss of feeling. 3 years before this he discover a melanoma on my face that turned out to be stage 4. we got surgeon to remove and then 1 year of interferon treatment I am in remission. I am very familiar with difficult diagnoses. Found his staff is very good with people and courteous every time I have visited. Sometimes the wait may be a bit long only due to the nature of skin disorders taking unknown time to plan patients appointment lengths and care? Highly recommend him as caring person and great Doctor. read more

I understand that no one likes the waiting room, myself included, however; Dr Randy Jacobs is WORTH the wait. As soon as I met him and experienced the time he takes to truly listen and examine and EDUCATE the patient, I am more than happy to give time towards a beneficial experience. I am also very pleased to say that my skin is looking so much better after following his advice. Dr. Jacobs identified the root of my problem, which no other dermatologist did. (And I've consulted many different Dr ) I also think people need to take his clientele under consideration. There were many elderly patients and when I asked them about their experiences, they all stated that they've been going to him for a long time and Dr. Jacobs has helped them w skin cancer and other serious issues that we sometimes forget a dermatologist would have to deal with. So, my thinking is that when a place has a great service to offer, then yes, you may have to wait. They're busy because they are effective and have loyal patients, like myself. read more

Went there to have 2 moles checked out that were growing and 2 tags removed. His intern ended up removing 3 freckles,and went too deep, he did 1 and tags. Moles of concern were looked at from 3 feet away and of no concern to him. Bill was $700. He didn't mention I could have had up to 15 tags removed for same price as one. Friends in OC said I paid double what they paid. Office was over book. Felt like cattle. read more
