Was referred to this Dr by primary since other Dermatologist left our plan. This was an annual exam, frankly very very not impressed and I think verge very close the line. He was more concerned with the lines on my face caused by my CPAP machine which aggravates my rosacea, thinking it was something far far worse. After explaining, still would not get off the subject. Welp I left two "detailed" messages, as requested, one on their phone, the other in their portal, to request a new patient appt, and after 4 days, no response. So I called again and was going to be put on hold for a long time, so called back and was told there is no availability until October! Three months away! Even after I told her it was a pretty urgent issue, still nothing. So I won't be going there! Called another office, got an appt in two days! No way to run a business in my opinion. read more

Absolutely do not go to this doctor, the long waits are just an inconvenience, but the care is horrible! They will assure you that they will take care of you and Dr Jacobs will make sure you know he has 40 years of experience, but the staff is rude and Dr Jacobs is condescending towards his patients, at least in my experience. My daughter was referred to Dr Jacobs after her medical group switched the dermatologist they contract with. She was able to get an appointment about 2 weeks after with Dr Jacobs. She was already due for the next refill on her medication but was unable to get it filled because of the switch in doctors so we were trying to get in as early as possible. We showed up to the appointment on time and proceeded to wait almost an hour and a half to be called into the office. When I asked the office staff about the wait I was told that they were very busy, but another patient in the lobby told me it was fairly common to wait over 2 hours past the appointment time. Once we were called in Dr Jacobs asked about my daughter's history but wouldn't let her or me finish a sentence without interrupting. We were told to get her medical records from the previous dermatologist because if it was a PA who diagnosed her then they might have misdiagnosed her. I was pretty upset that the office staff didn't mention anything about needing paperwork but took the form to get the information sent the next. A week later Dr Jacobs still hadn't reviewed the records and when I called said he would go over them with me on the phone. Once he saw that the previous doctor was one of his old students all of a sudden he agreed with the diagnosis and was willing to prescribe her medication. He then proceeded to call me back several times as it seems he isn't sure how to place a prescription and at one point even called back to confirm the medication being prescribed. We were also told to get labs done as part of the paperwork necessary for a new prescription although my daughter has been on the same medication for over a year. It has now been close to a month since labs were done and still no prescription has been placed by Dr Jacobs and I am told it is still pending approval. Which is strange because I contacted my daughter's primary care physician asking for a new referral and help with the prescription after 2 weeks of waiting and my daughter has already received her medication, so somehow her regular was able to get it approved in 2 weeks but Dr Jacobs and his staff can't seem to figure out how. Overall by far the worst experience with a doctor's office I have ever had. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I saw the bad reviews, but didn't have a choice due to my insurance selecting him. I waited 2 1/2 months for the appointment and when I got into his office, it was standing room only. They called me back after 45 minutes. After explaining to the tech why I was there, the doctor came in 20 minutes later. I'm guessing he didn't bother to read anything because he asked the same questions the tech did. I told him I was there for a full body check for sun cancer. He tried to talk me out of it by asking me to just show him what area I was worried about but I insisted. He told me to undress and he'd be right back. Another 20 minutes go by and nothing. I get dressed again to go out into the nurses area to see what the status was. They had no clue and said they would let the doctor know. Another 10 minutes goes by and the doctor comes back in and without lifting his head from the chart he says. " hello Barbara, what are we here for today?". The look of confusion on his face was classic. He proceeded to tell me I wasn't supposed to be in that room If I wasn't already worked up, I probably would've thought it was funny. He had no clue who I was nor why I was sitting there in my underwear. I had to explain to him again what I was doing there. I don't know how long a full body exam normally takes, but it took him less than five minutes. I could go on, but I think there's enough negative reviews you can read, and based upon the older woman that vented to me in the parking lot, I wouldn't be surprised if there's another one shortly after mine. Dr. Jacobs may have had a good career as a good doctor, but it's evident he has passed his prime and should have retired some time ago. read more

100% believe the negative reviews . I went in and experienced them all in one visit . I waited 1 hour past my appt time, if I hadn't waited 3 months to even get this appt I would have left . I finally get call back to the room just to be told there's 3/4 people ahead of me might be another 30-40 mins!! During this time I heard the nurse walk people back to the room saying it's unusually busy for some reason yet all the negative comments about the long wait times are all from different months this year. During the 40 mins wait in my room all I heard was the nurse say " let me get the dr " "let me get him to ask him " let me get him to come back " which was another bad review he had , that he never let you ask questions and was blunt and dismissive . After the 1.5 hour in the waiting room and the 40 mins wait in the room he finally shows up with an assistant or I assume because he never introduced himself or her . Doesn't acknowledge me at all just walks in no greetings nothing just straight to the iPad after two awkward mins in he room he finally ask me why I'm there I explain and then turns to his assistant and tells her his diagnosis nothing was ever explained to me or involved me in any part of the convo . The "Assistant" comes back and starts a procedure for a biopsy which I find out after me asking her , she's starts with anesthesia after that starts the procedure and I can tell she's nervous so I'm being nice about it hurting and I could feel everything . She leaves the rooms to get Dr Jacob's from another room and they are conversing in the hallway I could hear it all . She basically saying she's nervous it's her first time doing a biopsy on the finger and she didn't feel comfortable which I don't mind but if you know dam well shes learning or new at least stay in the dam room to supervise her !!! He finally come in and does it himself and let me tell you , this SOB grabs the needle jabs my semi numb finger with all his might then starts releasing the anesthesia an while doing that he's pressing the dam needle down soooo hard he's literally putting all his weight down on the needle I can't feel from the previous anesthesia had kicked in a bit . My finger blew up like a dam light bulb from all the liquid he injected . When he pulled the needle out the god dam needle came out bent and in the shape of the letter "W" I was shocked that he did it so hard the needle bent that bad . And worst part this joker says "sometimes it just needs some elbow grease like it's funny " he then continues with the procedure . It gets done they leave me there holding my own cotton to stop the bleeding for about 25 mins . No one came . Then they both showed up now with a tall bearded guy wearing a white coat again not introducied himself so no idea who he was . Finally put a bandaid on by the assistant and Dr Jacob's just walks out. No chance to ask anything not an explanation of what was done wha to expect or when I would get the results . I had to get the "Assistant " to get him to come back to ask a question I had , when he came back he seemed annoyed like I was burdening him with my questions ... I thank god my results were negative just for the simple reason that I NEVER WANT TO COME BACK HERE IN MY LIVE AGAIN. My finger was so tender after the numbing wore off and even days later still tender from the dam damage he did with the needle no doubt about that . SO PLEASE DONT BOOK AN APPT HERE CALL YOUR INSURANCE AND GET REFERRED SOMEWHERE ELSE . Horrible Doctor horrible bed side manners horrible service horrible parking situation horrible everything This jokester should lose his license and practice. read more

My family has trusted Dr. Jacobs for over thirty years. He is by far the best dermatologist in the area if not one of the best in the country. My grandmother absolutely loved him and he's taken care of three generations now. He's an expert at spotting pre skin cancers and skin cancer! I can personally attest that the doctor has found pre skin cancers that another derm PA said was "totally normal". I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dr Jacobs also treated my newborn son when he had a mysterious fungal rash. I thought my precious baby would be scarred for life it looked so bad, but the doctor knew what to do and his skin is now perfect. Smart, caring, and thorough dermatologist. I was a patient 2 years ago. I had gone to an ER IN PALM SPRINGS and Hemet for a skin condition that neither hospital could diagnose or treat ( see picture) I then asked my doctor for a referral to a dermatologist and was lucky to get Dr Jacobs He diagnosed it and prescribed the correct medication which cleared it up in a short period of time. Back again for new issues it was a long laundry list. His assistant was very nice and pretty too. When I walked by Dr. Jacobs he recognized me and I felt special His treatment was perfect for my problems and gave me a referral I needed. I went to Dermatology Specialists for two years trying to defeat a nasty case of Eczema. Finally realized they just didn't have the training or experience needed. I finally had to give up on them. It seemed to be a guessing game. So I tried Dr Jacobs. He took one look at me and gave me a plan. No drugs. He had me healed in about 3 weeks and there was no follow up needed. I just did what he said to do! It was almost too easy. And my issue was horrible. The itchiness was insanity. Especially at night. I owe him so much. Can't recommend him enough. I did have to wait past my appointment time and I have zero issue with the delay. He is cutting cancer off of people, should he rush? I had a complicated procedure. He took his time, was kind and he knows what he is doing. I appreciate that he takes his time and that he didn't make my procedure feel rushed because he had another patient. Since it was 30 min before closing and still 6 people ahead of me, I walked out and won't be back. Front desk ladies are extremely rude and impatient. I saw them yelling at the elderly and they are always screaming at the patients through the phones and give attitude. And I had gotten my following appointment scheduled here, and I came to this location and it was an abandoned empty place now? They had sent me a reminder the day before telling me to go to this same exact location, and I live 45 minutes way from here. So I called and asked them what was going on, and the lady rudely responded that they moved locations. She didn't even excuse herself or apologize. It is not my fault whatsoever that she did not inform me about their new location, she should have sent me the RIGHT ADDRESS in the first place. went to dr jacobs yesterday after waiting almost 2 months to get in for what my primary care dr thinks is a cancerous tumor on my hand & then waited 2 3/4 hrs to be seen. when the dr came in he had 3 people with him I assume they were staff(?) but he never introduced them. He asked why I was there so I showed him my hand & began to explain how it got there & he immediately stopped me & told his staff that is was cancer & they needed to get a biopsy & how they were going to remove it & told the two of them to not give me lidocaine & walked out. The girl told me immediately that she was giving me lidocaine not to worry. When she finished she said I was done & walked out, so I went after her to ask don't I need another appt, but she said just to go to the reception they would know what to tell me. Well reception didn't know what to do so she decided I should come back in a month but to call her back to schedule later that day. but when I called I got someone else who said I would be called after the results come & the insurance has agreed to pay for the procedure, it not they would have to figure something else out.
