He claims that he spent a lot of time with the patient, but that's not true and he can go back and check his time stamps, dates on appointments, or CCTV if he has one. On our first consultation appointment, he was kind of offstandish and rude to me as I was trying to inquire about things to expect post op. After he cut me off because he was assuming what I was going to ask, I responded and said that I wasn't going to ask what he assumed I was going to ask. At the next appointment, it was the procedure day, and that took a little more time since it was the day of the procedure. At the final appointment, the post op appointment, we were in the waiting room for about an hour after our scheduled time, which is ok. The stitch removal took about 2-5 mins, and another 2-5 minutes before the doctor came in. He didn't double-check the stitches, but rather just informed us that the skin sent to the lab was not cancerous and reminded us of aftercare, and we left. So, nowhere did he spend a lot of time with us, so that's a lie. Although he spoke with his team, still no accountability or apologies. I don't care to speak with this doctor or the office any further, and none of the reviews will be removed. What's crazier is he keeps responding. Only now that these comments and experiences are made public. But this was not how he was on the phone brushing me off and being dismissive. Would he still be this way if it wasn't public? Seems like he's talking more to the public in third person. I reached out via internet inquiry box from his website. Then contacted the office a few days later. He was not kind on the phone. No one told him to call me while he was mid-surgery. After being dismissive, I decided to leave a review. He actually ONLY reached out after the damage was already done customer service wise. Would he have reached out genuinely otherwise? Absolutely not. Why would I want to further personally interact?

I waited to post them only because it really does take time to settle in and for all of the swelling to fully disappear and I wanted to give credit where credit is due. My total experience at Loma Linda University plastic surgery with Dr. Gupta and staff was nothing less than perfect, I mean every single aspect of it from the initial consultation thru today and I say that because Ive had to delay my second procedure due to illness and also because I wanted to lose some weight before my tummy tuck is performed to achieve the best results possible. During that time, I spent well over $8,000 on treatments and referred many friends and family because I truly believed in this practice. I even drove from Fontana to Riverside for every appointment because I believed Dr. Bokhari was kind, skilled, and worth the time, gas, and long drive. Even after an incident last year, when I spent over $3,000 on fillers and Botox and was not given clear instructions on how to use the nitrous oxide, causing me to inhale too much and experience a frightening hallucination that left me feeling unwell for the rest of the day and even the following day, I continued coming back because I trusted this clinic. Over the last three months, I had to return to the office four different times because my Botox results were not what I had consistently received in the past. During those visits, I spent approximately $1,000. At my most recent follow-up appointment, I simply wanted to understand why my results were different and why I kept needing additional Botox to achieve results that had previously been obtained without these issues. Instead of having a conversation, Dr. Bokhari responded in a way that completely shocked me. He told me: "If you go to Kentucky and order chicken, you have to pay for it." "You have to pay for the units I injected." "There are no free lunches here." "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." I explained that I was not refusing to pay. I simply wanted to understand why I kept needing additional visits and additional Botox to obtain results that had previously been achieved without these issues. Summary: I regret…read morechoosing Dr Ku to perform my tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and two separate arm lifts (bracheoplasty). I definitely don't recommend Dr Ku for those procedures. I'm unhappy with the results, detailed below. Details: First in 2022, I had a tummy tuck and an arm lift, both during the same surgery. Tummy Tuck Results: The left and right sides of my stomach didn't match. The stitches were tighter on the left end of the incision, creating a muffin-top effect only on that side. Arm Lift Results: My arms didn't match either. My left arm was itself unevenly proportioned, and it was larger than the right arm. (See photos) At post-op visits, I mentioned these concerns. Dr. Ku repeatedly responded by saying "the body is not naturally symmetrical". I felt like I was being dismissed. In my opinion, it's fair to expect matching arms after plastic surgery. If I were getting breast augmentation, I would absolutely expect my left and right breasts to reasonably match. I expected my arms to reasonably match. About a year later, I paid Dr Ku for a revision surgery. I had another arm lift. And I had abdominal liposuction to blend and smooth things out. The results: My arms still don't match. Also, the second surgery created a new fold on the back of my left arm near the armpit. Dr. Ku said the section had been "over-tightened". (See photo) Worst of all, now I have a very noticeable dog ear on my right elbow. A dog ear is an excess of skin and fatty tissue that pokes out at the end of the stitches. It's very embarrassing to me, I feel like it calls more attention to the scar. (See photos) Dr Ku said that in order to correct the dog ear, he will have to extend the scar further down past my elbow. So that would mean no chance of hiding the scar under short sleeves, which is very upsetting. First, he estimated that he could do the dog ear correction under a local anesthetic for a "few hundred". Later, after he saw the fold on my other arm, he said it would be fully another revision surgery. Well, I just couldn't afford a third surgery at that time. Call me crazy, but I had not anticipated needing two revision surgeries. I asked for an extension on his revision price policy, but Dr Ku said no. I could not understand the issue with giving me more time. We were already two years into this. I had been very patient with him! And I had tried so hard to stay positive! The whole situation felt very unfair to me at that point. I realized it was a bad idea to consider a third surgery with Dr. Ku. I was just blinded by the revision price. Fast forward to now: I seriously regret the arm lifts. Now, my arms are scarred, plus they don't match. I've been wearing long sleeves for three years, even in triple degree summer heat waves. I'm just so embarrassed. And I don't even know when I can afford another surgeon. I wasted so much money, time, risk, stress. Don't risk throwing away your dream surgery. Just choose another surgeon. Two stars because the staff is great, and the facility is nice. I felt safe having surgery there.

We were able to do FaceTime consultations along with in-person appointments, which made planning everything so much easier. They also worked with me on financing, which I really appreciated. The office itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Every time I walked in, I felt comfortable and taken care of. The staff is incredibly kind and supportive, and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. It's worth noting that he is a busy surgeon, so you do need to be patient with scheduling -- but in my opinion, that speaks to how in-demand and trusted he is. One thing that really stood out to me was the environment of the office. It has a strong faith-based presence, and while I'm not personally religious, I found it surprisingly comforting. I was told that during the building process, he would come in and write scripture within the structure of the office, which I thought was such a meaningful and intentional touch. On the day of surgery, I was understandably nervous, but the entire team made me feel at ease. The anesthesiologist was absolutely hilarious and helped lighten the mood right away. Right before surgery, the doctor asked if I would like him to pray with me. Even though I'm not religious, I said yes -- and it ended up being a really grounding, calming moment that I genuinely appreciated. Now, about 14 weeks post-op, I can honestly say I am so happy with my results. I feel confident, comfortable, and like I got exactly what I asked for. I'm still working on scar management, but overall, I love how everything looks. And coming from Las Vegas, I paid a fraction of what I would have locally, which made the experience even better.
