4.5 stars. Jacksons Southpointe is an upscale-casual restaurant and bar. It serves Sunday brunch and daily lunch and dinner. Examples of menu items are frittatas, salads, soups, calamari, burgers, pizzas, pastas, chicken, pork chops, salmon, sea bass, crab cakes, and steaks. My husband and I ate Sunday brunch here once. We arrived at opening time. Minutes later, the seating hostess showed up for work. She seated us at a clean table. The waitress spoke nicely to us. We were the only customers there, but we had to wait a long time for our foods to be brought out. Here are my ratings for our foods: Bananas Foster French Toast - 5 stars - Two pieces of French toast were topped with sweet and delicious bananas, caramel sauce, whipped cream, and strawberries. Meat Lovers Frittata - 4 stars - This frittata contained eggs, cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. My husband ate it and seemed to like it. We also ate white toast with jelly and drank Twinings English Breakfast tea.

We stopped by yesterday for dinner around 5:30pm on the way to Tanger outlet. We were able to get seated right away and because we looked at the menu ahead of time, we were able to order our apps and entree very soon after. The inside is pretty spacious with a big bar and a couple of seating areas. They still have their holiday decorations up which made it cozy along with their fireplace. Our portions of food were very large and everything was tasty. My only critique was that I wished the carrots and potatoes that came with the pork chops had more seasoning. We walked in at 5:25pm and finished our entree at 6:04pm so service was very speedy!

Have been many times in the past over the years and have typically enjoyed it. Went on a recent Saturday night and was shocked how quiet it was. Two of us sat and the bar and were the only ones there all night. Staff was really attentive and the meal we had was great. Really good fresh wedge. Went with the fillet bites appetizer and it was actually a perfect sized entree with fingerling potatoes. And the bread pudding capped it off and was incredible. Really good spicy jala-pina marg too.

We went to this place in a large group. The ambiance was good. The service was timely and friendly. I ordered Ahi Tuna salad. It was delicious

For a steak place and an expensive one very disappointing. 2 nights 8oz filet was raw asked Med Rear they made up giving me $25 gift card, meal was $85. Night 2- Angus bites dry and no flavor/chewy. Server

Service was amazing! Staff were so friendly. My husband ordered the special which was a blackened chicken pasta. He loved the flavor on the tomatoes in the pasta. The chicken was a little dry. The noodle choice didn't really hold the sauce well. He ate every bite though. I ordered a Caesar salad with a crab cake. It cost me $33. There was the butt end of the romaine lettuce and wilted pieces in my salad. I've also had better crab cakes in my life. It was full of crab & not a lot of fillers but they seared both sides a little too hard for my liking. There was an overpowering Smokey / almost burnt taste to every bite. The restaurant appearance is impressive but the floors & our table were sticky. Overall an over priced mediocre meal.

I stayed at the hotel next door! I ate here both nights! The first night I ate outside on the patio and had the 8 oz filet mignon with mashed potato and broccolini. The filet was ordered medium rare but came out medium or more but still had good flavor! The second night I sat at the bar and ordered the chorizo corn chowder to start. The chowder was excellent! The bartender recommended the calzone so that's what I ordered! Lots of meat and cheese but the crust was brushed with a hot honey glaze that was delicious! All in all, both visits exceeded expectations for a hotel restaurant!

I was excited to try this place despite reading some unhappy reviews on Yelp. We had reservations with family for 7PM on a Saturday. Right off the bat, the service was lacking, exactly what I was afraid of after reading reviews. It took awhile to get our drinks as well as refills on waters. Our whole table got appetizers and finished them before we even had a chance to order dinner. The timing on the service was very slow. The drinks were good but not the best I've had. The food was just alright. Good, but nothing that really stood out. I didn't like how there wasn't much variety with the sides that came with the entrees choices. I got the smokey ancho salmon with the pea couscous side - it was very underwhelming and I didn't like that it was served cold with the salmon, but that's just my personal preference. It was unique that the bread basket for the table had a variety of breads and spreads. That was a nice touch. The new bourbon ice cream they had was really yummy. Hubby and I shared a scoop of that for dessert and it was good. His dad got the cheesecake and shared with us. Also yummy but it's hard to mess that up. Overall, not a place I would rush back to. Really disappointed in the service, but I was prepared for that after reading other reviews. It was true for our experience as well. For the price you pay, I would expect better service.

We made a reservation for a Saturday night but probably didn't need one, as there were plenty of empty tables. The service and food were both top notch! We knew it was going to be a great meal when the bread and butter basket they brought out was the best we've ever had - three different kinds of bread, including a cheesy bread that I could've rated a whole meal of, as well as a regular butter and two special olive tapenades. We started with the calamari appetizer which was great, and for our dinners we had the crab and shrimp Mac and cheese (don't be scared of it listing Market Price on the menu; it was less than $30) and the hanger steak. Both were AMAZING! We also ended our meal with the chocolate lava cake, which was perfect to share.

    Bacon Jam burger

Jackson's is a more upscale restaurant in the Southpointe complex. A very limited lunch menu on Saturdays. But that's ok, I went there for their Bacon Jam burger. It did not disappoint. It's a Premium steak burger with Swiss & Cheddar, lettuce, tomato, topped with Bacon jam on a brioche bun with a side of coleslaw and pickle. Bun was toasted, light, loved it. Burger was cooked right, I added caramelized onions, and poured Ranch dressing over it, as I usually do. Bacon Jam was yummy, chunks of bacon, very flavorful. A great burger experience, with a side of tasty, crunchy fries. Will be back on a weekday for their expanded menu.

It serves farm-to-table foods, particularly exotic meats such as alligator, bison, boar, duck, elk, goat, and wagyu. Other menu items include more common meats such as chicken and seafoods such as trout and lobster tail. It also has a full bar serving wines, beers, and spirits. My husband and I ate one dinner here. We wore jeans with nicer shirts. The seating hostess and the waiter performed their jobs well. Our waiter brought an amuse-bouche of reuben egg rolls (5 stars), which were crispy and tangy and we really enjoyed, as well as focaccia bread (4 stars), which tasted good but could have been warmer. For my appetizer, I ordered the Wagyu Tacos (4.5 stars), corn tortillas filled with Japanese A5 Wagyu, cilantro-lime crema, tomato relish, and chipotle puree in a corn tortilla. These tacos were messy to eat but tasted very good. My husband ordered the Corn Fritters (4 stars) with cilantro-lime crema and tomato jam. My main course was the Bison Filet Mignon (4 stars), which I ordered mid-rare but could have been juicier. It came with sides of corn relish, asparagus, and purple-potato puree that could have been creamier. My husband's main course was the Prosciutto-wrapped Chicken Breast (3.5 stars), which my husband ate and said was alright. He particularly liked the flavorful peppers. His other sides were wild rice and zucchini. For dessert, I followed the waiter's recommendation for the Tiramisu (4.5 stars), which was moist and had a good balance between the coffee and sweet flavors. At the end of our meal, the waiter brought warm, lemon-scented, wet towels. The total price for our meal was $183 plus a tip. My husband and I thought that the foods overall tasted good but did not quite match the price point.

Our cocktails were subdued but very tasty. First we were served a pea soup shooter--we all wanted a whole bowl. I got the special, seared tuna with a shrimp over udon noodles and a Hoisin sauce with some sort of wasabi. Again, the flavors were unique but not overpowering. Also got the chicken with couscous and peas. Sounds plain but it was anything but plain. The other mains were just as good. We finished off with three desserts. The carrot cake got rave reviews from my dining partners (not my style). The Creme Brulle was very large and perfectly cooked. But the best dessert was the deconstructed Smore. The chocolate, the merengue, the graham crumbs, a little ice cream. Oh, I'm going to be dreaming of this dessert for a long time!
