Jackson's is complete garbage. Trust me, do not go here. Overpriced crap. Rude service. Manager is rude, unprofessional and useless. This place has gone straight downhill and will no doubt be commacks next demise.

Came here for happy hour a couple of weeks ago with a friend. Nice bar area to hang out and enjoy a few drinks. They have specials for certain tap beers during happy hour. There are some mixed drink specials as well. I did see a lot of people eating what looked like pretty good food! Definitely plan on coming back here to explore the entire menu!

Horrible experience...my birthday and wanted a casual place to eat before we had to make our way to other plans ...I looked online and noticed they had skirt steak and mashed potatoes (my husband has a very small number of things he eats but this was something he typically loves) so off we go. We arrive place is pretty empty.. sit down someone took our order. My husband specifically said skirt steak with nothing but the meat and mashed potatoes. We were told we don't have mashed potatoes... so my husband says ok ill have a double order of fries(how is this a restaurant that serves steaks and doesn't offer mashed potatoes? I quickly looked again and confirmed that I had seen the online menu correctly they did have mashed at least on there. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. So we wait and wait ...the steak comes out with caramelized onions all over it ...my husband starts to exclaim ...I specifically said just the MEAT AND POTATOES...NOTHING ELSE. So the guy takes it back ....in the meantime I asked to speak to the manager. In about 2 min the steak comes back out on a separate plate with the fries on another plate. My husband was in the restroom so I look at the server and say honestly answer ...did the kitchen just take the onions off that steak and have you bring it back out here? Bc if that is the case he is going to freak the f#@$ out. .. he didnt even respond but did an about face and left with the steak. By this time the manager walks up and says "how can I help you" I said this has been less than an stellar experience...explained what just happend and he told me they did away with mashed potatoes i repeated that the website online showed that you offered mashed. they did away with the chips and dip they used to put on the table while waiting for food (cited that this was bc of covid and reusing items???? Um pretty sure you reuse all the cups, silverware, plates etc.) This was a cost they were cutting not any other reason. He then asked if we wanted another steak made we said no and I left my full chicken sandwich and we walked out. The worst experience for a restaurant in a long time. Pathetic at best.

Before I started using Yelp, I was going to Jackson's. A great place for the East Northport, Commack, Elwood area. Nice beer selection, and some good signature Cocktails. Started with fried calamari, fried to a golden color and very tasty. Menu is not overwhelming, tried a lot of the choices, and had not one bad meal. Friendly staff, ample parking. Nice atmosphere, good for groups or dinner for two and affordable. Ciao for now

General: good outdoor seating however cars pass you to park. Also next to a busy road Worth it?: No, portions were small and expensive. I paid 13.50 for a "shrimp basket" with 5 shrimp lol. Taste: bland Service: not great but only one worker so understandable

What is the happy hour menu?

4-7 is what I read on the chalk board wall above the bar. We were there after 8 so we were given the regular menu when we were seated. Ordered their calamari, Brussel sprouts, and a Strip Steak... All of the above were fantastic

The blackened swordfish and broccoli rob was perfect, the chicken franchise was moist and delicious, the seafood salad and prosciutto and fresh mozzarella appetizers were delicious. The cappuccino and espresso's were perfect. Service was up to par. They told us an hour wait but we were seated in less than 45 mins. The hosting is definitely unorthodox but fun. And made the 30+ Mile trip for something special. When we got there, the first thing you notice is the parking is atrocious; very few spots, and even dropping someone at the door and pulling out is difficult. Nonetheless, we managed and upon entering discovered the place was packed, ridiculously so. We stood around for 20 minutes (right next to an empty table for 8... just our number) while our wait staff tried to figure out where to put us. Finally the manager came out and told us to take the table. Super unorganized, and they don't take reservations. Make that make sense to me :/ Dinner was, at best, "adequate". Nothing to sing an opera about, frankly, coming from a family of accomplished cooks, our food is 100x better. Highlight was the chicken cutlet and penne ala vodka. I've never had such dry, crappy cutlets in all my life. Everything else was just "ok". The only saving grace was the prices were very reasonable. Had they been expensive on top of crappy I'd have blown my stack. After our mediocre dinner and dessert we paid our bill and left our usual 25% tip. My brother had to get the car and pull it up front (my dad has a walker) and our waitress came by and told us we HAD to leave because they were swamped and, "they needed the table". We had to struggle to get out the door which was packed with people (God forbid there was an emergency) and my dad had to wait, with his walker, in the rain under an overhang for 15 minutes until the car could pull up (my brother had to park down the road). Disgraceful, rude, and frankly, dangerous. So. If you like mediocre food at a reasonable price, and don't mind being packed into this little shithole where they ONLY accept cash... then by all means this is the place for you. Or you could drive up the road less than a quarter mile and go to Branzinos, where they run a restaurant that treats its customers like human beings, and not cash carrying cattle. You make the call. As for us? Never will go back. Ever.

We stopped by on Christmas Eve Eve, and it was such a fun, low-key way to kick off the holiday. The vibe was super chill the second we walked in. A solid neighborhood brewery with good energy. The bartender was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference, especially during a busy holiday week. It felt like the kind of place where regulars hang out, but newcomers are just as welcome. They had live music going that night, which added to the cozy, festive feel without being overwhelming. You could still talk, laugh, and actually enjoy your beer, which I appreciate! It felt more like background vibes than a full-on concert, in the best way. I ordered the Lindy Light, and it was exactly what I wanted: crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink lager. Perfect if you're not looking for something super heavy or complicated. The tap list had a nice mix overall, so whether you're into lighter beers or want something with a little more character, there's definitely something for you. They also have NA and cocktail options. The space itself is casual and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but that's part of the charm. It's the kind of place you can pop into for one beer and end up staying longer than planned. Friendly staff, good beer, live music, and an easygoing vibe. I'd absolutely come back, especially around the holidays or anytime I'm in the area looking for a relaxed hang.

We were luck where we parked as there was a street fair that day and we would have been trapped if we parked in the wrong area. We walked into the bar (Healy's is a bar) and sat in the area behind. Very simple and rustic. Everyone here is local and knows everyone so it's like entering a party. The place to go where everybody knows your name. (Where have I heard that before.) It took our server no time at all to come over and take a drink order. The staff here is incredibly friendly and make you feel incredibly comfortable. We went pretty standard with a burger and grilled chicken. Everything was perfect. My wife loved the grilled chicken sandwich and I though the burger had great taste and was cooked perfectly as I had asked for. I really enjoyed the fries too.
