    Iced Easter bread
    Kelly S.

Fresh locally backed deliciousness all under one roof. I placed an order for some of their famous iced Easter bread... making sure to do so ahead of time. With so many preorders they only do order pickups the day before Easter. I had my pickup for 9am, they were already packed with customers doing the same! Everything is amazing here, cakes, eclairs and their bread.

Ordered a birthday cake remotely for a local family member. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, despite me calling 9 minutes before closing. I was able to order exactly what I needed and arrange payment over the phone, as well as coordinate pick up by another person. The cake arrived just as described, and I was told the cake was delicious by everyone who ate. Should I be in the Rochester area, I will certainly try this place personally. I would not hesitate to order remotely again in the future.

I stopped by Jackson's Bakery on my way to visit some friends who are new new parents that live out in Greece! Given the *new parent* thing, I decided treats were a necessity. Enter Jackson's Bakery! I had seen the amazing reviews here and was excited to give them a try. Upon entering, I was surprised by how SMALL this bakery was given their output - cakes, cookies, bars, breads, and so much more! Whatever staff member you're working with will be quick to help you get whatever it is you're looking for. One of the best things about this bakery is certainly the prices. Everything is SO reasonably priced, it'd be worth it for me to drive out of my way to just to grab some treats given the money saved. I didn't try anything (shame on me) but the recipients said their goodies were AMAZING and everything looked fantastic. This is a great stop if you're in the area and looking for a reliably awesome bakery. Right next door to the always-wonderful Trianos! Happy eating.

I love this bakery and this is my go to for cakes. They are always fresh and delicious. Great prices and friendly staff.

Love love love! We came here on the recommendation of a friend to get some New Years Eve and New Years Day desserts! They are currently only letting in 4 people at a time as covid restrictions which I appreciated! It wasn't busy at all, and we got in straight away. The staff here is very attentive and helpful. We asked a lot of questions about the treats and they were happy to answer them. We picked out a carrot cake and some Neapolitans to try and we absolutely loved them! The carrot cake was so moist and soft and the cream cheese frosting was just to die for! My family loved the neapolitans as well. Their desserts are so modestly priced as well, but they do not lack on quality! We will be back in the future I'm sure of it. Try them out for any event!

I went to Jackson's to buy a carrot cake for my coworker's birthday. Carrot cake happens to be his favorite, and I personally love the carrot cake from Jackson's, so I made the trip across town to give him a special birthday surprise. At the bakery, I asked the staff to write "Happy Birthday Curt" on the cake. They showed it to me from a distance and I said it was fine. However, to my surprise, when I returned to the office and opened the cake to celebrate, it was clear that the staff had missed the mark on their "penmanship", to say the least....

    Butterscotch pecan kushen

One of the best bakeries in Rochester and Western NY. The prices are very reasonable, service wonderful and the pastries are incredible. This is our go to for birthday cakes. No complaints ever from cake eaters indulging in 100% delish. The texture and sweetness is a close to perfect as it gets - and never dense, but rather moist and semi-light. In addition to picking up a birthday cake, we decided to pick up a butterscotch pecan kuchen as well. It was fantastic! We'll be back soon.

What a hidden gem! Great price, friendly service, and quality sweets! I love the feel of this little bakery. Everything we've tried has been delicious! Make sure to check out Triano's Meat Market in the same plaza!

    Chocolate Ho-Ho cake

Amazing local bakery that never disappoints. A quaint place with years of tradition. We got their "Ho-Ho" cake which is a chocolate cake layered with white frosting, just like the familiar snack. It was fresh, delicious, and a must have for any chocolate lover. Overall, I will be back and recommend it to others needing to get their sweet fix.

Mini chocolate cake bars with white buttercream topped with fudge. Delicious! Like a gourmet HoHo.

I'm so impressed after my first trip to Jackson's. It's 30 minutes away, but I won't hesitate to go right back. The first thing I noticed is how friendly the employee was. She immediately greeted us and didn't seem bothered by my many questions about the items in the case. I notice a lot of employees are stuffy at the bakeries I've been to recently, but not here. I also noticed that employees rushed up from working in the back as more people came in after us and everyone was greeted similarly. We ended up with a fudgey chocolate cake bar (I made up that name) that is similar to a gourmet HoHo. It was delicious, and I'm glad I bought 2. We also got an eclair that was so fresh and tasty. They had frosted turnovers. (iced?) I didn't even know that I liked turnovers or that they ever had frosting. This cherry turnover was so flaky and crispy, I believe it changed my life. The last thing we got was a giant Neapolitan cake. I guess it was only a 1/8 of a sheet cake size but for 1 person it looks giant lol. I don't really like the flavor of Neapolitan that much but it was so darn pretty I just had to buy it. Those 5 items came to $18, and that seemed like a bargain. The only thing I would change is possibly putting labels on the shelves so I know what I'm looking at. I was checking their Instagram account out this morning and their cakes are beautifully decorated. Way to go, Jackson's Bakery!

The dark chocolate cake tasted like charcoal. The pistachio brioche had little flavor. The cherry chocolate muffin was too dense. Maybe this is just not my style of baking. The scallion cheese bread was delicious and toasted up nicely. I was SO thrilled with the slice of pistachio ricotta cake! It was fluffy and fresh and delicious. But - then I saw the same exact slice at a different bakery and it turns out it's from a frozen boxed cake. So I felt a little duped or something. (Unless I'm very mistaken and they do make this in house. But I'm definitely doubting that.) The girl at the counter was very friendly and informative.
