Ate here today for dinner during my day off from work as a paraprofessional due to Election Day and not working seasonally for the polls this year to do professional development asynchronously at home instead. I got lentil soup and then rib eye steak cooked medium that it tasted quite good and delicious. The service there was also efficient and super fast that I felt rushed to get meals since it's about to be closed for the day. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

Jackson House is a gem! Jackson house is a cozy diner with all the staples. I really enjoyed the vibe of an old diner and menu filled with any diner food you can want (with pictures of the dishes like a true diner lol). The service was super quick and friendly, despite being busy on a Sunday afternoon. The food was fresh and I was pleasantly surprised to see an impossible burger on the menu! My friend had the platter with 2 eggs, sausage, toast, and hash browns. She said they were delicious! Of note, egg dishes currently have an upcharge given current egg prices and the economy lol. Overall, this place is a classic, amazing diner with affordable dishes and fresh food. I will definitely be returning :)

I am so impressed with this local gem! I love retro diners and this one is perfect! Always remember to get Challah french toast! My friend (Thanks, Ben L.!) and I met here for weekend breakfast. I got the hot cup of coffee which is a classic. We ordered the following dishes to share: Jackson House Breakfast and the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries! Both of these dishes were perfect and I had no bad remarks! Jackson House Breakfast, we got scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, home fries, challah french toast, and toast with butter on the side. Everything on this plate was so delicious especially the challah french toast - this was my favorite part! The challah french toast was so fluffy and flavorful in the middle and probably my favorite french toast ever! The breakfast sausage was very unique, it's the fat sausages. It has a nice crisp on the outside and meaty inside. Bacon Cheeseburger, this was a delicious burger! The burger patty had nice grilled marks on it and I loved the charred flavor. Fries on the side was crispy and not oily at all! How did they do this? I can't wait to come back!

Decent food at decent prices. Expect a wait during peak brunch time. The pancakes are nice and fluffy. The cheeseburger is filling and the fries are nice and crispy. Service is great They constantly refill coffee.

I have surprisingly never stepped inside this diner despite working only a couple of blocks from here. It is not the most nicest looking diner I have been to but the food speaks for itself. Our server was so lovely and attentive which made the breakfast experience great. She made sure we had all we needed and that our coffee was always filled. The western omelette was tasty and was a decent size. The home fries were seasoned well. I know these are basic breakfast items but they were very tasty. What really impressed me the most was the service and I would completely be returning for that reason.

I've been coming to eat breakfast here since I was inside my mom. The waiters and staff are really friendly and witty. Known them my whole life. The food is diner aesthetic and tastes good. I ordered myself a ham and egg sandwich, they always put the right amount of butter to make their sandwiches really tasty.

I wanted something simple and decided to give this place a try. I'm glad I came in. This might be my usual breakfasts spot.

I wanted something simple and glad I came in here. The service and staff were very friendly. The food came quite fast and I think this will be my go to place for breakfast. The older gentleman who I guess might be the owner knew the ladies at the counter by name? His son was also very friend (kinda cute too)

Completely surprised by the quality of food and service here. Unassuming restaurant from the outside; typical diner setup inside. Saturday morning, easily able to accommodate a group of four. As soon as we sat down, they took our drink orders, then gave us the menus. After looking through the monstrosity of options, settled on the Open Steak Sandwich ($15.50), Short Stack of chocolate chip banana pancakes ($6), and a coffee ($2). Pancakes are moist from the bananas, plus just the right amount of chocolate chips that the syrup wasn't necessary. My steak sandwich was gigantic - with several tender cuts of beef places on top of tasted bread and served with fresh-cooked fries. Meat is cooked properly and I didn't need any extra sauce; was hoping for some cheese on top though it wasn't much of an issue. Fries are perfect, not overcooked at all. Love the service here as our waitress was extremely nice and they give out free coffee refills. Wish this spot stayed open later, though an easy pick for breakfast moving forward.

OB eating a huge bacon cheese burger!!

Best omelettes we ever had, with good coffee and service. When we come back to this area we look forward to trying it again.

Great friendly prompt service. We had the French toast and waffles, delicious. And the cook knows how to cook "soft" scrambled eggs....yes.

The weather was pretty nice, and we had to wait a bit for an outdoor table since we were walk ins. We started with the seasonal mule with passion fruit. It was balanced and refreshing, though pretty similar to most mules. I also had the Vogue, which was so good. The guava was subtle and paired surprisingly well with the pistachio. For an app, we had the halloumi fries. They were really good, especially if you're a halloumi fan, but the portion was on the smaller side. If you're sharing with a group, I'd order more than one. I had the Turkish eggs and loved how well seasoned they were. The staff was kind enough to let me swap the bread for their biscuits, which I had heard great things about. Definitely worth trying! My partner had the Chicken Not Waffles, and I stole some of his cinnamon butter for my biscuit. So good! I also tried his pancake and really liked that too. The staff was incredibly nice to our pup, which I really appreciated, especially since she can be a little overly friendly. They brought her a big bowl of water and seemed genuinely happy to have her there. We really enjoyed our brunch. Between the food and how welcoming the staff was to our pup, I'd definitely come back!

We started with the basket of biscuits with blueberry compote, which seemed to be one of the most popular items featured in all the viral videos. I really wanted to love them, but I was honestly disappointed. The biscuits didn't taste fresh and were kind of tough, while the blueberry compote was bland and not sweet at all. Overall, there just wasn't much flavor. The coffee was just okay, and after the biscuits, we decided to leave and try another spot down the street rather than risk being disappointed with the rest of the menu. That said, the service was great. We were able to get a table right away without a reservation, and our waitress was super nice and welcoming. Our food also came out quickly. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but based on our experience, I personally wouldn't come back for the food. Unfortunately, the TikTok hype didn't match our experience.

Its possible to share a sandwich with a friend. My favorite is the da bomb or pastrami. I love dipping mine in Italian dressing.... Service is great! Located in the Astoria part of NYC. You might have to wait but its worth it!! They don't take plastic!!! You need cash!! Oh yeah no place to sit ..so take it the park.. so after you eat you can take a stroll and not feel guilty!

The service is very professional. Takes a minute because they're extremely busy if you visit during the lunch hours. If you're a foodie and enjoy the view of fresh meats, cheeses, salads, breads, and sandwiches being made fresh..... then the ambiance was bliss. The fact it was in a common neighborhood made it even more enjoyable of a visit! Now to the sandwich..This sandwich itself DEFINITELY lives up to the hype! It really is the REAL DEAL!! Maybe they should change the name to "Da Bomb", because it's that's good! However, through no fault of anyone, this is the learning experience I take back for my next visit: 1) Extra lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers. Potato Salad IF extra hot peppers! 2) Bring reusable containers for your sandwich, especially if you're not going home/ hotel right away. Next visit, which will be my next visit to NYC, I intend to try the roast beef and turkey hero, extra lettuce, tomatoes, onions, hot peppers. Overall, I still rate 5/5. They do a fantastic job here. Service is awesome, food is fresh, and the amount of food they offer for the price is well worth it. Definitely worth visiting again and again!!
