This is a response to the store response. You have proven how rude you are by saying I was taking my time choosing keys( that I was going to pay for) they are character keys I think that's how it works. You look for what you would like. Furthermore I was not in your store longer than 10 minutes. So for you to insinuate that I was taking my time is incorrect. Also wearing a mask has nothing to do with how I was treated. The woman's disposition was uncalled for and so is your response to my review. As far as the pricing is concerned I was a first time customer, why would you think I would know your extra charges? If you had good customer service you would explain this to your customers. Maybe a little training of good customer service would be helpful in order to avoid negative feedback. Had to get a replacement key made for my car and got it from the dealership. For whatever reason their key cutter was down and recommended I come here to get the key cut. Came here and I was in and out of there in less than five minutes. Although the key was already programmed so they didn't need to do that, from them cutting the key it was smooth and unbelievably fast. I was in Upland to buy a used car, and when taking it to the mechanic the remote key stopped working. I visited Mike at Jacks Key Services and he and his daughter, Amy, helped me right away. They actually immediately put in a new battery in the remote, feeling that was the problem. The remote worked perfectly! They wouldn't let me pay for the battery, he just did it for free. I couldn't believe his generosity. The next day when I returned to pick up the car I bought, I had him program the backup key for the car and made some house key copies while I was there. Everyone there was so nice. Michelle and a young man was there as well, and they did everything so quickly on the spot. I forgot to mention that I called ahead of time, and they stayed after closing time to help me. They gave me so much free stuff, Mike gave me a mechanical key attachment my remote was missing, they only charged me for two keys even though I had 5 house keys made, they are very generous to give free o ring carabiners-the generosity and value is outstanding! These are good people. Visit them if you need keys. Get extra keys made while you're there. These are very good people who want to help, and they're very neighborly. read more

Came here one Friday afternoon to get a spare key made for a safe I have...Got home and the key did not work. Kinda disappointed but... what can ya do? but come back and let them try again. I guess something should have felt off about this experience. I handed them a key and asked for two duplicates. I had them less than a minute later. Got home to try them immediately. Neither of them work. I tried to call them up. I said "I got a mail key duplicated and neither of them are working." I got questions like, "Do you have a mailbox," and "is it a mail key or female key?" That just sounds idiotic. read more

Walmart recommended them to me because they didn't have the size of the key that I needed. But when i got there the lady made me choose from a regular size key or a Baldwin key she said. The price difference was to high for me so i opted for the smaller key. I thought it wasn't going to work but it works like a glove. Because the key that i had copies made was a Schlage so it's a bigger key but it all worked out. Not sure why Walmart didn't have that key. But oh well I'm glad I came to this place lools like Jack can do a lot of other stuff regarding keys for your homes, your cars and more. read more

I went here to get my toyota key fob spare key cut (this is the small key that slides out of the key fob in case the fob battery dies). All of the big box stores in Claremont were turning me away, saying that they didn't cut car keys. However, I have had this service done at Home Depot in Phoenix before. I asked the proprietor, who was very kind older fellow, to cut two of these emergency keys. One key works great and the other sticks very bad, but he told me to just keep trying it and it will get better (???). For the service of cutting two keys I was charged $15, which I thought was incredibly high, but he had already cut the keys so I paid and went on my way. This was not a good experience. I would have given them one star except that the proprietor was so nice. read more

These guys do a tremendous job! My mother-in-law had lost her primary key for her car, and only had the valet key. Jerry created a complete key, and a spare for her, and got the (locked) glove box open without any damage. This saved her a bunch of money, and a whole bunch of aggravation. Not only did I take notice on how attentive they were to my needs, I also noticed how well they took care of all of their customers who would pop in and out. I went in today to get a new key/fob for my 2014 Honda. I had recently lost my primary one and the spare wasn't working either. I was able to get a new one cut and programmed for much less than what everyone else charged. They also got my spare working again which they didn't charge me for. Jack's is the truth! I brought 3 OEM BMW keys that needed to be cut and they had no problem doing it. Took the keys to 3 other places in the area and they refused to cut it because they were "steel" and they didn't have the equipment to do it. Jack's cut with no problems and charged me pennies on the dollar. The gentlemen who helped me was "Jerry" and he was the man, he even sharpened my Benchmade folding knife. Great place! They were able to do duplicate my Toy Hauler keys! A lot of other places weren't able to duplicate them. Came by to get a spare smart key for my daughters car and mine too. Also got and programed new/ spare keyless remotes for both cars and copies of house keys. Jerry was great, very friendly, professional, and worked hard to get everything done fast. They were busy but Jerry was great with everyone and got us all taken care of. Great service, very professional and friendly. They copied a worn key and tested it out a couple of weeks ago. It works perfectly. Today, I went there to see if they could access/program an older keyless entry unit for my car since the instruction manual procedure wasn't working. The manufacturer's tech support wasn't helpful, and the car dealer wanted $130 just to look at it. In under 5 minutes at Jack's, the guy determined it didn't need a computer to program the remotes and showed me an alternative DIY programming method that did work. Dude saved me $130. They're definitely my first choice now and I'll happily recommend them to anyone needing locksmith service. read more

I lost my car keys and the remote that comes with it. I had been using a spare for a month and was afraid I'd lose that so I needed another set. The dealer wanted over $300 and I would have to leave it for a few hours. I got a word-of-mouth recommendation for Jack's Key Service. I did not know one could go to a locksmith for these car keys with remote. Apparently they to have come along with these high-tech times. I don't know the name of the guy who helped me. There were two men. He had the blank key and remote. He programmed the remote in about five minutes. It opened all the doors and panic button worked. He had the actual key done in about 15 minutes. The dashboard on our 2016 Toyota Highlander kept showing that the battery to our key fob needed to be replaced. so I drove down to Jack's Key Service in Upland Ca. They replaced the battery in less than 5 minutes and even told me that if the battery should go completely dead I can simply put the key fob close to the engine start button and still start the car. Jack's key service was so helpful. I needed a new battery for my Range Rover key and had a spare key as well where the shell was completely not functional and falling apart. They not only replaced the battery quickly but also saved me probably a few hundred dollars by advising me on a much better alternative for the non-functional key. They said buying a completely new key through the dealer (which I thought was the only option) was not necessary. They guided me where to purchase a new shell and swapped the components from the old into the new, changed the battery -- and bravo, a new key was born for ~$50! Thank you Jack's key service!
