Haven't been to this Jack's donuts for a while, in a small strip mall on the south east side. The place was very busy today. There was a group of kids, probably six or seven kids there so it was a little noisier than most donut. Shops are in the morning, they have a little area where kids can color and TV on with some cartoons, so it's fun for the kids. I'm sure and I wasn't staying so it didn't matter. the counter was nice, I'm sure she's working three or four in the morning so I would expect she might be a little tired. However, the hardest part was that the donuts don't have labels on them so if you didn't recognize them, you had to ask what they were. I ended up getting an apple fritter and a long John. And cup of coffee. You make your own coffee they had a couple choices. I took the kind I usually like, but it doesn't taste quite the same as it does at the other jacks, so I'm not sure if it was labeled incorrectly, or had just been there for a while. in general experience and I would come back here certainly

The doughnuts here was great as usual. I got some at work and wanted to try other options. I probably should've came earlier when they are hot and fresh. I'll be back to try other options

Tried out Jack's Donuts - they were good! Had the glazed yeast donut and it's comparable to other donuts in town. They have a good selection of other flavors as well as iced coffees.

Well, here's to another one of the top donut shops in the Indianapolis area. Everyone knows of the main chains, but Jack's Dounuts are the real deal...not like those hard speedway rocks they pass off as doughnuts. First off, the place doesn't get super busy (probably due to having a lot of cashiers). Unlike Longs, they offer the ability to pay with credit cards. This probably speeds the process up and avoids you watching people fumbling in their purse for change. Secondly, their options are unique. Let me just say this..I love bread. So when I saw that they had a CROISSANT doughnut, I WAS ALL IN. That was probably the best thing I've ever had, it was super soft. It was the same as flying into space, grabbing a cloud, and eating it. Only the cloud was sweet. I digress. A lot of their items are unique. All of it is fresh. Their customer service is top notch. And the location is nice for those on the southside towards Emerson Ave. If this place doesn't satisfy your sweet tooth, I don't know what will.

Went on opening day ready to have them convince me that they are at least as good as my favorite Long's donuts. Things I liked: Easy to get to location. HUUUGE donuts! Bavarian creme filled, chocolate iced donuts..yuuuummy! That they buy their coffee from Harvest Cafe coffee roasters (the Caramel Crunch coffee still has me drooling when I think about it.) Great chairs in case you want to hang out and maybe use your laptop. A small but fun kids play area with a ton of crayons to keep little ones busy. Lots of tv's. The owners and staff are crazy friendly and make you want to go back! Super clean and well decorated interior. Great selection of HUUUGE donuts! Things I don't like: That they are only 3 minutes from my house cause they are gonna make me fat. Give them a try. They are just the kind of family owned business we want in Franklin Township.

Initial impression is great! Good selection. Friendly staff. Modern and clean facility. Small area for kids to play or color. More than I would expect or need from a simple donut shop.

I was very badly wanting to give this a four star review, but I felt, in the end, I had to put it at an average. Firstly, I wanted to say that the service was top notch and the person behind the counter was super friendly and talkative and was an appreciator of good foods. This gave me high hopes for the donuts that I would be trying. I had ordered a blueberry, cherry, and strawberry cake, a maple covered cream filled donut, and a cookies n cream cinnamon roll & Reeses pieces cereal cinnamon roll. When I got the donuts back, I found out I got two strawberry cakes and not a strawberry and cherry cake. All their cake donuts were good though. Their cream filled maple was alright, but felt it could have had more cream inside of it. What pushed for the three star was the cookies n cream & the Reeses cereal cinnamon rolls. Both had super stale toppings on them, so much so that I threw one of them out. I would think that if you were a foodie, you would want to make sure you had fresh cereal on your donuts. Even though I did get these at 2PM, it shouldn't have been this stale from being out one day. I will say to get the cake donuts though, they were definitely good. I just hope they make sure not to use stale cereal & Oreos in the future.

Jack's started in my hometown and my dad was also a former employee. I'm so happy that I can still have such a great memory still come to life now that I live in Indy. Forever a family favorite!

Jack's is just a short drive from me and is a nice little morning spot. Most of the staff that works weekends are area high school kids. I have never had a bad service experience. The kids are nice and very helpful with great attitudes. Everything from the coffee and donuts to the environment are above average!!

The back area with most of the booths had too many people in it at all times, which stressed us out. I felt like couldn't really look at everything and often had to wait awkwardly to the side until other people finally moved out of the way. I ended up getting a new permanent bracelet after one of mine broke a couple weeks ago. I hadn't looked at the vendor lineup before coming, but had hoped there would be a permanent jewelry booth there and was very happy to see Golden Era. The owner was so nice and told me that Milk & Honey often lets her come by for events, so that's nice to know when going back to get coffee again. We also got a couple of gorgeous floral shortbread cookies from a vendor and had them as a nice little treat the next day. Despite how busy/packed it was, it was still very fun to have the event to browse while sipping on a coffee. I also loved the booth diversity- a fresh flower booth to make bouquets, cookies, permanent jewelry, antiques, vintage jewelry, a few clothing booths, custom press on nails, candles, a mini bookstore outside, and a pet bandana shop outside as well. For coffee, I ordered The Eddie (sea salt caramel macchiato) and my husband ordered The Milk & Homey (cinnamon + honey). The Eddie was definitely sweeter than The Milk & Honey, but both were very tasty! They had a super cute "whimsy bar" set up at the pickup side of the counter to bedazzle your coffee. This was my first time there, so I'm not sure if this was just for the event or not. We also each ordered a turkey caprese sandwich with a side of kettle chips, but they were a little disappointing. They were supposed to be on sourdough, but came out on white bread instead that kept sticking to our teeth and made the sandwich mush together when biting into it. Would love to come back and try a different sandwich or maybe a baked good next time instead.

I gave a different review back when the company had a different name (Roots to Rise) - same ownership - and I hadn't been impressed with their coffee or açaí bowls. With the new branding, I figured I'd visit again & stick to juices. They quickly became my post-yoga stop on weekends. I would have went before work on weekdays but they aren't open early enough for that. Today after I ordered I was warned there were a few orders ahead of me. That knowledge before ordering would have been more helpful. Normally a 5 minute wait or so, I was guessing a 15 minute wait would be reasonable. I went outside listened to 3 songs, back in, still no drink, went back out- 2 more songs, back in, still nothing. Ordered at 11:15, drink was done at 11:51. I think good business would have been upping my size for free, or a coupon, or even a thanks for your patience. A simple, "Thanks," while kind enough, caught me off guard. Any gesture to recognize that wait was unreasonably long would have sufficed. The juice was still delicious, I can't lie. I don't know if it's staffing (2 employees on Sat. morning- no Now Hiring sign tho) or what, but if you are in any kind of time crunch, I'd probably avoid the wait. If you are on vacation time- by all means- go enjoy their offerings. I realize it's what comes with a small business, but also something to recognize an unusually long wait would also be a small business quality. I'm disheartened by this. Greenwood is very slack on fresh juice options, although I saw an Ever-Well going in on 31.

Skosh is like a thrift store with a coffee shop inside it. There are couches and furniture nicely arranged that you can sit on, but that furniture is for sale.
