I will start out by saying that Jacks Blueberry cake donut is one of the best donuts i've ever had and would HIGHLY recommend it. As far as their yeast donuts go, in my opinion they are just okay. We always have an amazing experience with this Jack's location. The quality is amazing for the price no matter what. The service is always too tier with super sweet employees. We always order off of a third party app, too good to go, for cheaper end of day donuts. While this may make it feel like we get more bang for our buck, I would gladly pay full price for the great service and treats! read more

Haven't been to this Jack's donuts for a while, in a small strip mall on the south east side. The place was very busy today. There was a group of kids, probably six or seven kids there so it was a little noisier than most donut. Shops are in the morning, they have a little area where kids can color and TV on with some cartoons, so it's fun for the kids. I'm sure and I wasn't staying so it didn't matter. the counter was nice, I'm sure she's working three or four in the morning so I would expect she might be a little tired. However, the hardest part was that the donuts don't have labels on them so if you didn't recognize them, you had to ask what they were. I ended up getting an apple fritter and a long John. And cup of coffee. You make your own coffee they had a couple choices. I took the kind I usually like, but it doesn't taste quite the same as it does at the other jacks, so I'm not sure if it was labeled incorrectly, or had just been there for a while. in general experience and I would come back here certainly read more

Well, here's to another one of the top donut shops in the Indianapolis area. Everyone knows of the main chains, but Jack's Dounuts are the real deal...not like those hard speedway rocks they pass off as doughnuts. First off, the place doesn't get super busy (probably due to having a lot of cashiers). Unlike Longs, they offer the ability to pay with credit cards. This probably speeds the process up and avoids you watching people fumbling in their purse for change. Secondly, their options are unique. Let me just say this..I love bread. So when I saw that they had a CROISSANT doughnut, I WAS ALL IN. That was probably the best thing I've ever had, it was super soft. It was the same as flying into space, grabbing a cloud, and eating it. Only the cloud was sweet. I digress. A lot of their items are unique. All of it is fresh. Their customer service is top notch. And the location is nice for those on the southside towards Emerson Ave. If this place doesn't satisfy your sweet tooth, I don't know what will. read more

A nice addition to the area that gives us a quick breakfast option. The kids and wife like donuts so it's easy to run over and grab a few for breakfast on occasion. They also have a few coffees, cappuccinos and lattes. They generally have a slew of donut options and plenty in stock. My only wish... a breakfast burrito or something warm to eat. I'm not sure why these are popular. I've tried Jack's donuts a few times. Not impressed. The case is full of the same donut in different shapes. Very few flavors. Went today to surprise someone at the office, and Jack's didn't have their act together. Their only filled donuts must have been missed marked because we got Bavarian filling when we asked for "white fluff" (that is the name?) and it was written on the tray. So everyone got the wrong order today. And I do not recommend their Bavarian filling And I won't bother to mention the argument that started among the workers when I ordered a beverage. Absolutely love Jack's, including their story all the way around but this store has been driving me crazy for a year. They're NEVER open in the evening even though it says they're open 5am to 11pm on their own website. There's always a sign they're out of doughnuts. Make more doughnuts!! Went on opening day ready to have them convince me that they are at least as good as my favorite Long's donuts. Things I liked: Easy to get to location. HUUUGE donuts! Bavarian creme filled, chocolate iced donuts..yuuuummy! That they buy their coffee from Harvest Cafe coffee roasters (the Caramel Crunch coffee still has me drooling when I think about it.) Great chairs in case you want to hang out and maybe use your laptop. A small but fun kids play area with a ton of crayons to keep little ones busy. Lots of tv's. The owners and staff are crazy friendly and make you want to go back! Super clean and well decorated interior. Great selection of HUUUGE donuts! Things I don't like: That they are only 3 minutes from my house cause they are gonna make me fat. Give them a try. I was very badly wanting to give this a four star review, but I felt, in the end, I had to put it at an average. Firstly, I wanted to say that the service was top notch and the person behind the counter was super friendly and talkative and was an appreciator of good foods. This gave me high hopes for the donuts that I would be trying. I had ordered a blueberry, cherry, and strawberry cake, a maple covered cream filled donut, and a cookies n cream cinnamon roll & Reeses pieces cereal cinnamon roll. When I got the donuts back, I found out I got two strawberry cakes and not a strawberry and cherry cake. All their cake donuts were good though. Their cream filled maple was alright, but felt it could have had more cream inside of it. What pushed for the three star was the cookies n cream & the Reeses cereal cinnamon rolls. Both had super stale toppings on them, so much so that I threw one of them out. I would think that if you were a foodie, you would want to make sure you had fresh cereal on your donuts. Even though I did get these at 2PM, it shouldn't have been this stale from being out one day. I will say to get the cake donuts though, they were definitely good. I just hope they make sure not to use stale cereal & Oreos in the future. read more

Jack's is just a short drive from me and is a nice little morning spot. Most of the staff that works weekends are area high school kids. I have never had a bad service experience. Yessss - I was craving donuts and we drove over to Jack's because I had heard how good it was. The rumors were true and they didn't disappoint! First off, a half dozen of any donut is only $6.50! Great deal if you ask me.. some of their donuts are huge! I got their blueberry donut and the caramel stick. The blueberry was incredible!! So much flavor packed in there, and it's the perfect combination of sweet and fruity! My boyfriend had the red velvet donut and I snuck in a bite - also very delicious I was a little disappointed that the caramel stick didn't have caramel filling, but it was still sooo delicious! Here on the SE side of Indy, we now have two real choices for donuts. The city standard of Longs and now Jack's. Jack's does a great job of making their donuts. They are very large and very good. I have noticed that they have a lack of variety like Longs and almost always are out of chocolate covered donuts. My favorite one that they make is the the apple fritter. The have ultra fresh donuts but my main issue (not complaint) is a variety of everything. And they accept credit cards. Long's won't and that works for them, but on some days, you don't have cash! read more

Jack's Donuts are the best donuts ever made on the earth. I don't like Long's Donuts, because they are so greasy. Jack's Donuts are huge, and are doughy and soft and fresh. My favorite donuts to get are the white frosting and sprinkle yeast donuts. They do have some specialty donuts as well; of crazy varieties like ones with Frooty Pebbles or Cinnamon Toast Crunch on top. There are also 3-4 varieties of specialty / flavored coffee, if you're into that. I like the plain black coffee myself when I'm already getting a really sugary sweet donut. For Moms and Dads and Grandparents, this Jack's location has a little kids table with crayons and coloring pages and a TV with Disney Channel. You can sit near them and visit while they are busy. Or, you can sit outside on the patio in front with two tables and 8 chairs. Be prepared to wait in line for a while on most mornings, especially Saturday and Sunday, but if you aren't a 9-5er you can come late morning or early afternoon and have the place to yourself. I grew up on Jack's in New Castle, Indiana but now that they are in Indy (as I am, too) it is soooo much easier to get them. These are the best and far outweigh Indy's Long's donuts which never held a candle to Jack's. My favorite is the chocolate covered yeast roll and the chocolate donut. Yum. I wanted these to be better. These donuts remind me of what the gas stations or the grocery stores would have. Very doughy almost not done. Thick, heavy, chewy, these aren't good qualities for a donuts in my tummy. I like light, airy. These donuts will stick to your ribs as my grandma would say. The donuts were really good. The bluberry glazed was my favorite! Lots of blueberry taste and just the right amount of glaze. I also had a glazed chocolate twist donut and it was huge. It was really heavy on the glaze though, which made it kind of heavy on my stomach. My kids loved it, of course. I will definitely try it again. read more

We just tried Jack's Donuts for the first time since moving here. I was hoping for a better experience. The donuts just aren't very good. They are very heavy to start with. We got a variety pack delivered from Door Dash and they all kinda tasted the same. The biggest complaint though was they are just way too sweet. Second visit after a less than stellar first visit. Does this place only hire high school sports teams because they're only concerned about themselves and personal gossip. I didn't know a business could be handled by children? Donuts this visit lacking in hair which is great were exceptionally doughy and heavy. No hair nets, no gloves and employees who wear running shorts. Back to Center Grove and I dread the drive but they continue to dominate on professionalism. read more
