Just ordered a small lavender breve latte (with half and half).. zero stars for the drink. As a long time myself barista, I was very disappointed with my drink. There was no lavender at all in the drink, which I payed extra for. The milk was frothed like a cappuccino rather than a latte and was way too hot that it gave the milk a burned taste. The espresso is hard to taste through all of the burned milk. Definitely wasted my money on this. I was already driving away when I first tasted my latte or I would've kindly asked them to add some lavender or remake it. However, the girl who took my order was friendly and sweet :) read more

I love their coffee! But I got the wrong drink twice. I think the baristas should repeat back orders just to confirm. I don't blame them, the masks make it more difficult to communicate! Where do I start! The staff is always friendly and energetic. The coffee and tea are always delightful and service is always speedy.

The main issue I have is the inconsistency in the quality of the large coffee latte's. I went one day about 5-6 days ago and the drink was amazing, I had to come back again under an hour later for a second cup. The next few times the drink was waaaay too sugary, another time hot but tasteless and the my last drink this morning was OK, acceptable, just nothing like the wonderful experience I had on my first visit. I think the difference is in who is working that day. Once Starbucks re-opens I probably will stop coming but until then you may still have a customer. read more

I was on a road trip and stopped to get a coffee from Jacks. The coffee shop was closed, but the owners were outside putting up Christmas decorations. Even though the shop was closed, they made me free iced coffee for the road. The owners are so friendly, and generous. The coffee shop is quick, convenient, fairly priced, and has a welcoming/laid back vibe. The coffee was also fantastic. All around a great experience. Lovely barista who patiently answered all our questions as this was our first visit here. Ordered two soy cappuccinos. They were not bitter and were the perfect combination of milk and espresso. They also offer pour overs which we find unusual for coffee shack drive throughs. What a nice option for Salinas where Starbucks is a plenty. read more

Ok, so i just have to give an update... I have been a loyal customer for almost 2 months now! Seriously my new favorite coffee spot! I am so bummed on the weekends because i live too far away to make the drive.. but Monday-Friday you better believe i am there! And the staff is awesome! Really enjoyed my visit to Jack's Coffee! The ladies behind the window are extremely friendly and make great coffee (They use America's Best Roast). I came in for a mid-day latte on a rainy day and was pleasantly surprised with this little joint. 4-5$ for a latte seemed like alot initially but the quality was on par with a high-end coffee shop. They have switched to Clover Dairy in order to make sure the dairy they use is GMO-free - so not only is their coffee great and their service wonderful, they actually care about what they sell. Doesn't get any better than that! read more
