This place is very inconsistent. On rare occasions they get it right, but more often than not the drinks are disappointing. I really wish there were more spots around here with the same level of quality and consistency as boba places in San Jose, because this place doesn't come close. read more

I had a brown sugar boba and a taro pudding The drink was enjoyable as for the taro pudding not so much, I found a circular greenish spot on the inside of the lid which to me looks like mold, there were dark bits around the inside and when I took the time to pour it on a plate to inspect the dark dots there was a thing that to me seems like a bug but maybe its not and feel free to correct me as to what it might be, the customer service was nice and my drink was good. read more

So good! I've never tried blended milk tea, and now I never want to drink anything else!! I got the brown sugar milk tea, extra sweet and blended extra thick. The slushy texture was so yummy! We ordered 8 drinks and the staff was so patient and helpful with us, as our drink order was a little complicated. They also have crepes and milkshakes which look super good! I haven't come to this location to get my boba fix for YEARS. I have fond memories of my cousin taking me when I was about 10 years old and when I was 18-22 remembering how nice the workers were and were open to answering my questions. The new workers seem quite young but they can learn a thing or two about customer service. I said my order and the worker looked at me very confused and it felt uncomfortable. I also said I haven't been here in a long time and he said "oh just look at the menu" umm like obviously? Fast forward to the present day and I have to say that while the interior of the place looks amazing, the boba drink I got was not a big hit. The consistency of the boba was too hard and not chewy.. :/ such a shame. If I knew it was gonna be like that I would have just ordered the slushy drink and added no toppings. One of the few boba spots in Salinas. I'm used to the boba spots in Elk Grove/Sac. Sadly, the overall drink and boba weren't memorable. The boba itself wasn't chewy and the flavor of the milk tea was watered down. Not terrible, but not the best. read more

Tapioca delight is one of those things in Salinas that is popular more for the convenience and not because it's actually a quality product. Don't get my wrong, this place is to blame for my boba addiction but I honestly come back because it's one of the few places in the area that is solely a boba spot (but over the years that seems to have changed too). The boba is okay, nothing crazy special but still good. The drinks are mostly favored with powder flavors and it actually tea/specialty flavors. I will only order the "original milk tea" but have to adjust sweetness cause it can be too sweet. I would give 4 starts but I really can't. Mainly because their hours/online orders are so inconsistent. Times online are not reliable.. not cause they are not updated but because the just close randomly sometimes without notice. Same with their online delivery, it's on but then is al of a sudden unavailable. Same with some drinks/menu items. If you can't stay open for your scheduled date times then adjust them instead of keeping your customers in limbo. With that being said.. is tapioca delight good? Yeah, I'll go back. I have my go to boba place but I was in the area and wanted to try this establishment out! Wow! So glad I did. My mom and I were both pleasantly surprised by the flavors as well as the decor. I got the milk tea boba with coffee jelly and it was absolutely delicious. My mother on the other hand got the coconut and she really enjoyed hers as well. We loved the self check out especially during these Covid times. Both our drinks took about 7 minutes to make which was pretty fast considering how many customers they had. $6.00 for a large boba, which isn't too bad. The boba itself taste good, but the flavor is very powdery. They don't have a lot of flavors to choose from or add on like popping boba or lychee. Nor do they offer sweetness levels. The service was good however, greeted us right away. But could improve their boba. read more

It also didn't even really have a tea flavor, just tasted of sugar and watered down powdered milk really. Literally just came here and definitely didn't like the service. We to wait for a few minutes until someone asked "can we help you" the guy (cashier) was doing nothing but gossiping with some other girl who is more than apperant works there but is off the clock. Definitely not good service they're too imature to tend food service or any service. After they tended us, they still continued to talk about "giving people free punches" or "free drinks" etc (whatever that even means). I get we all need a job but #goddamn and I know it could be hard being paid at minimum but that is still no excuse to have a low level of professionalism which is definitely out the door. I too worked at a crappy place at minimum wage but that is no excuse to neglect the clients and act unprofessional. There should always be a "how can we help you" along with attentiveness. After we ordered what we did they still continued to gossip. Definitely not going back. Dear owner please change these two. One day they open at 10am the next day they open at 11:45 without any signs or notifications. Need to run it like a business and not like a "Open when I am available". If employee shortage is an issue than looks like the owner may need to step up until he/she can hire help to take care of customers. It's good! It's not exactly authentic boba tea, but more like sugary drinks with tapioca. Nonetheless the flavors are good, the drinks are sweet and the boba isn't bad (texture and flavor wise) so I would give it a go if you're craving boba in the area. I don't know why some yelpers are complaining about it not being "authentic". Every place makes it the same way! I've tried it at 2 other locations and they taste the same. Anyways, this place is a go-to if you're craving a tapioca/boba drink. I've tried the horchata, coffee, taro, raspberry and a few others and they've all tasted great. My personal favorite is the green apple slushy with apple jelly. A bit on the sweet side but it's delicious. I've never experienced bad customer service here. Employees always seem to be having a good time and do their work properly. Drinks are made in an a fast manner. No idea as to why they don't make medium drinks though. I've had my order made incorrect multiple times, they're always closing the location earlier than their posted hours even before the covid-19 restrictions. they're very understaffed and from what i can tell seem undertrained as well. not bashing on any of the workers, all these issues come down the management and what they're letting their employees get away with. read more

Out of all the Boba places that I have been to Tapioca Delight is definitely my favorite. There are many flavors to choose from and I personally love the Boba because it is not too hard but not too slimy which is perfect! The customer service there is good and super welcoming and helpful when you have questions. The inside is also very cool and I just love the interior design that they have. I'm from Santa Clara and my boyfriend and I were on the way home from Monteray and we wanted some boba and this place was the closest thing to Monteray. We used GPS to get there and couldn't find the place. So I called them and they were SOO nice and gave me directions from where I was! I do agree that their prices were a little high especially for a small original milk tea. But I gotta admit it was pretty good! Their milk tea is VERY different from bay area milk tea! Stopped by on the way back to the bay area and needed some boba to keep me up. Not the typical kind of boba place you expect from the bay and more like tapioca express style drinks. The staff is super sweet though! Tried the avocado smoothie which was okay but didn't have a strong avocado taste. BUT a staff member recommended a horchata and coffee mix drink which was AMAZING.
