I used to go every morning, but I just can't do it anymore. Every time I visit this location, my order is either wrong, I have to wait forever, or a combination of both. The other times, my food is just thrown into the box, which results in everything covered in gravy and grits. Cashier ignored customers in line, took 10 minutes for her to acknowledge anyone waiting. She had headphones in and after taking our order she walked away and didn't complete our transaction so we stood there even longer just waiting to pay. She also didn't speak at all the entire time. Her hair was beautiful but went past her butt and almost no one was wearing a hair net. They also didn't have their health rating posted anywhere. When we got our drink the lid was cracked. My sister and I have been carpooling, and yesterday she decides that she wants to stop for breakfast. I rarely eat breakfast but I say "why not". We decide on Jack's. Since she eats like a bird and I'm not big on breakfast, we got the big breakfast special to split. I think that's the name of it. It came with a biscuit, sausage gravy, grits, eggs, hash rounds, and two sausage patties. Oh my goodness... it was goooood. Everything was perfectly cooked and the drive thru service was pleasant, quick and easy(just as it should be). I haven't had sausage gravy in ages! My belly was so happy with this decision! I went into Jacks in Reform Alabama for 5 minutes to pickup a hamburger. While inside, someone vandalized my new Jaguar. Jacks claimed their security cameras didn't work. Reform Police Dept was no help either. I would avoid Jacks and Reform Alabama, especially if driving an expensive auto. Even if you have thousands in damage they don't seem to care at all. read more

This is truly my favorite fast food place in all of the south. I am hooked on the grilled chicken sandwich add bacon and cheese. It is absolutely delicious. The fries are hot and fresh with the perfect seasoning salt and when dipped in the comeback sauce, they are heaven. I only give a bad rating and tell it like is when my experience was the worse. I walked up to the counter to order, nobody hi or can I help you for several minutes, manager was in the office with door open and they could see me, and several people saw me , not my job to greet guest attitudes. The person who finally came to greet me came from working drive thru so it appeared. So my experience was already off to a bad start THEN I started noticing how dirty , unkept the place was ( no excuse for being short staffed because I was the only person in dining room and at peak dinner hour) . Tables were dirty throughout dining room. Bathroom was nasty. It is clear why dining room was empty during peak dining hour, the service was the worse and place is nasty. After another recent visit to jacks I felt obliged to update my review. This place definitely fits the category of "A-OK."It is right there in line with, on some ways better than, the other typical fast food restaurants, it is local, & I think they have a standout breakfast and standout milkshakes. This service has always been above average and even surprisingly fast at times. My wife now makes this her pit stop on the way to work if she is grabbing a fast food morning breakfast biscuit (previously BK). I have always found the inside dining area of this location and the Homewood location to be very clean and inviting. As mentioned earlier, I think the highlights of this place are the breakfast and the milkshakes. I recently had the fried pork chop biscuit which tasted great and I sprang for a side of sausage gravy which was also very good. Obviously I did not need that gravy but I wanted to taste it and was glad I did. The milkshakes are made with Blue Bell ice cream, making them probably the best fast food milkshakes I have ever had. This review is straight up for the drive through only. Plus, this really only related to the breakfast menu. Primarily a plain buttered biscuit or a bacon biscuit. I'm really not a fan of breakfast, but every once in awhile a morning biscuit sounds good. It's fast food that is pretty reasonable as far as price is concerned. The food quality has always been good and the flavor has been really good as well. Really where they stand out and what earns the extra star (4 total) is the drive through service. Many mornings they have a line of at least 10 cars. The process their orders so quickly! The wait to get to place your order and to get to the window to get your food is exceptionally quick. Don't let a long line make you pass by...they will get you in and out really fast. Went here for carryout breakfast after finding the Waffle House was too busy. Waited 20 minutes to get my food and they ran out of grits. All I ordered was 2 sides of grits, a butter biscuit and a side of sausage. I'm giving 2 stars only because they were trying to be nice about it, but dang, I would have been way better off in the drive through line. what they ended up giving me was not good and it all went in the trash. read more

We did an online order (20 min ahead of time) and when we went to pick up our order, all of the employees were sitting around the counter and come to find out they said "we don't have any chicken, but we have chicken tenders." First - that statement in itself was ignorant... tenders ARE chicken. Then, one employee kept making fun of me behind the counter. I asked what he was saying and laughing for and they just kept on. The manager was the one watching the whole thing and talking to me saying "no chicken" and we left with no chicken and didn't get our money back because "you have to go online." I get that part, but what I DON'T get, is when a customer does an online order for CHICKEN and you don't call them to alert them you don't have the CORRECT pieces of chicken for their order. Jack's is my favorite hamburger and has been forever. Unfortunately, I hate to go there. I use the Jack's in Hoover, AL on Lorna Rd. Their food is great, but their service is consistently bad. I have never seen or heard an employee there smile, say a kind word, or try to actually get your order right. They don't care. They are not friendly and I constantly have to double check them and make sure I get what I ordered. If they have to "revisit" it, they get almost belligerent. I blame the manager for this. Manager, pay your employees enough to live on, teach them customer service, and make them use it. I will be leaving a bad review every month until it gets better. We went about 8:30 a m. on a Sunday. Waited in line 15 minutes while holding our $23 cash to pay. Bill was $11.97. My guy doesn't like one dollar bills so I gave cashier $22. When we got to window, my guy showed her his military ID for the discount, she rolled her eyes while responding, "I got it." She gave me 3 pennies back. I told her I gave her a $20 and she said "You gave me a $10." Neither my guy nor I had a $10 in our possession when we went there. We were trying to make happy hour milkshakes and although the lady at the window was friendly, the two people taking our order (not sure why it took two people to do this) had no customer service skills. Just because you hate your job doesn't mean you need to treat your customers disrespectfully, especially when we were trying to be friendly enough for the both of us. We said we needed 2 chocolate, 1 vanilla, and 1 cookies and creme and after repeating it 3 times, we ended up with 2 cookies and creme, 1 vanilla, and 1 chocolate (incorrect). The lady at the window shut the window while we were at it and as she was opening it, one of the rude and disrespectful employees yelled "Tell that B**** she can pull up." Again, just because you cannot get a better job than one at a fast food chain, you should not take that out on your customers. You should make the best of it. read more
