Was here in January for an Oil change/Tire roation. They mentioned my break pads were worn and I needed them replaced. I declined the service and just recently went to get them checked. My mechanic told me they are "like new" and there is nothing wrong with them. Seems like a money grab to me. I was here once before in October for a tire repair and got two tires replaced as well, makes me wonder if I was ripped off then. Thankfully, I declined the break pad repair from them and went to a trusted place to get them checked out since nothing was wrong. Came in on Sunday, although everyone was nice, they mask their kindness hide they're snakes. They over charged me for work I wanted two new tires mounted and balanced with an alignment since I already had two new ones previously mounted. All is well car dropped, first they took 5 hours to do the work, which is ridiculous. I get a call half way through that one of my tires has a pin hole on the side wall, and the person tries to upsell me for 4 tires. I knew it was bs because those tires were brand new. I asked them to change it with one of my old tires because I wasn't gonna purchase more tires since I already knew what game they were playing at. When I picked up the car the alignment was so off I didn't even make it down the block and had to turn back for it to be redone. All in all they overcharged me, did a horrible job, and purposefully sabotaged my vehicle by mounting the pin hole tire and kept one of my good tires, and also purposefully damaged my tire when I know they were brand new and holding air, since I had them mounted months prior to getting them put on the car. Stay away from here they're scammers and snakes. read more

My car has been in and out of this shop at 810 Wyoming ave., Scranton since April 16, 2023. It is currently May 18, 2023, I just picked my vehicle up and it broke down on the way home after spending almost $1800. STAY AWAY! I called and spoke with the mgr. who said it was running fine before I left. I advised he could come to my location where I broke down, yeah, he couldn't do that. During this time frame I have dealt with 3 different managers at THIS STORE. Place needs to be shut down. Of course, I called the corporate number only to leave a message. I will be continuing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I think I'm paying for parts I don't need and they are not fixing the items I do need repaired. read more

I have a 2009 Ford Escape that was misfiring. I brought the car in and they did a diagnostic (which cost $140) then I didn't hear from them till the end of the day, only to get hit with bill of over $1,000 for spark plugs, an ignition coil, parts for the manifold, and labor hours. They never called to tell me they were going to do that work, which would have been nice considering that was almost 2 week's pay for me. Well, they did waive the diagnostic fee (which I never got the results for anyway) but the bill was still over $900. And within 48 hours the car STILL misfires with the same code and issues! I get the fact it's an older vehicle but I really feel like I basically threw $900 dollars away for maybe nothing. I'm thinking of calling them about this but really question what for? read more

Had issues with locations In honesdale and scranton. In honesdale my sisters car was brought in running. Picked it up and it broke down not even a mile up the road. Of course they didn't take responsibility. My husband had an appointment for 1 in scranton for a simple inspection. We called at 330 and they said it was just being brought in and would be 30 min. Went in after 30 min and they were just pulling it in. We asked why it was taking almost 4 hours after our appointment to be done. This place is a giganic rip off. 65000 mile warranty tires that didn't last 20000miles or 12 months and they did NOTHING about it! Could not be more disappointed. So, of course, I waited until the last possible moment to have my state inspection done on my vehicle, but when I called to see if they had any available appointments, they were all booked up. But not to worry, they gladly told me if I could bring it in at the store opening, they would squeeze me in between other appointments. Knowing that I had another appointment at 11:00 am, they were so awesome and got me in right away. I only had to wait a little over an hour to get on the road and back to my day! One of my biggest mistake when I went to jack and Williams to put tires for my car.i spent almost $700 for tires and alignment and every month I was going there to change the engine oil and rotation of tires they gave me warranty 65000 for tires and then after 30000 my tires was done but I keep pushing it till 40000 and then I went to them and told them I want to claim for warranty and they told me that ur tire was even from sides so we can't claim the warranty.wtf...I will not recommend anyone to go to jack and Williams.just go to other places for tires atleast they will not lie.. read more

I put 4 new tires on 2 of my vehicles and in 1 Year I had 2 tire blowouts/ flat tires and 2 tires that developed bubbles in them. When I brought them in for repair, they claimed it was from potholes. That is a lot of pothole damage in 1 year. A total rip off read more

My driver side axle broke on my way through Scranton, and I had my car towed to Jack Williams. The manager, Phil, totally saved the day. He was able to give me a reasonable quote via phone, locate the parts needed and have my car fixed that same day so that my daughters and I could get back on the road. The price was extremely reasonable, and everyone there was incredibly friendly. I may have to start driving the 2 hours to Scranton to get my car serviced from now on :) read more

Extremely bad experience. I went to Jack Williams Tire #11 for the annual inspection. After the alleged inspection, I was told that the Brakes in my vehicle were extremely bad and that it would cost hundreds of dollars to replace in order to pass the inspection. I know my vehicle, and would not drive it in the allegedly "extremely bad" conditions. Luckily, I did not buy their craps that were coming out of their mouths while looking me straight in the eyes. I went elsewhere and got a second opinion. The vehicle passed the same annual inspection without problem. It seemed that Jack Williams' allegedly "extremely bad" conditions were the same as the good passable condition. Avoid their Rip-Offs. Times are tough, but don't rip people off so that they could stay in business. My existence is not to pay for their rent or feed their children. read more
