First time customer. Charged me 70$ for 5 quarts of oil and an oil filter. It took them 15 minutes. Should've done it myself and saved 35$.

They cited streaks which they were not able to show, and told me if I left to replace it I would have to get a whole new inspection, essentially charging me for two inspections unless I payed for the parts they wanted to sell me. I took the car immediately to the Ford Dealership, which found no issues with it and had no problem passing my inspection as is. The car is brand new, with only 3,000 miles on it, most of which were put on at the dealership which replaced the wipers and everything before I drove it off the lots. I heard them tell at least two other people that they also needed new wipers on their inspections which further makes me suspicious that it is just their current parts selling scam. I intended to file a complaint with the state inspection agency so that this type of thing does not keep happening to people. I have been using Jiffy Lube for a long time, and while I was not going to need to come in as frequently as I just got a new electric car, I certainly had been recommending it to all my friends. They have lost a life long advocate and customer from this experience.

I pulled over, looked under the car, and saw that the driver's side engine cover was touching the ground as well as having been ground down by touching the road. It became clear that the mechanic that performed the oil change under my car either did not properly fadten this cover or left off fasteners. Going back to Wal-Mart to have them rectify this shabby craftsmanship which caused damage to my vehicle.

They called another associate out and he said he would have to put it in the lift to see if there was actual damage or if the flat could be fixed. One of the associates got into the car, closed the door and put his hand on the steering to drive the car into the bay. Which was shocking to me because I had the keys in my hand and the car was off . Another associate said he gets ahead of himself sometimes. I tried to ask another associate about the flat and he said I don't speak English. I was quoted a price and agreed to it. I was never called to let me know the job was finished. I scanned the tag after about 3 hours and it said there was a problem. I went back and the car was finished. I was given a different total and when I asked why was the total different , I got a blank stare and no real explanation. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never go back there, even if I had 4 flats. Nobody seemed to know what customer service is truly about.

I came in for a flat tire repair, and instead of doing his job, this pervert decided to harass me. He saw garters in my car and had the audacity to ask if I was married, insinuating that I'm a stripper in the most disgusting, perverted way possible. WHY does my relationship status or what's in my car matter when I'm just here to fix a tire? It was invasive, inappropriate, and completely vile. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, he started asking if I take male clients, like he had ANY right to dig into my personal life. For the record, I'm a nail technician, but that has NOTHING to do with why I was there. He just couldn't help himself from being a sleazy creep. Just because I look young, he asked if I was in college and then talked to me like I'm some naive little girl he could disrespect however he wanted. I'm 25, but even if I was 18, NO woman deserves this kind of treatment. This wasn't just unprofessional--it was downright disgusting. I left that place feeling violated and furious that this man had the nerve to treat me this way. This company is basically saying they're fine with employees harassing and disrespecting women. I will NEVER come back, and I'll make sure every woman I know stays far away from this place until he's gone. Fix this NOW, or you'll be losing a lot of business. This was the LAST thing I expected when I came in to get a tire repaired. DO BETTER.

This is a letter I wrote to Pep Boy customer service:…read more I genuinely want to thank Stephanie and her crew at PEP BOY on Scranton Carbondale Hwy in Scranton, Pa. On February 20, 2015 I was driving from NYC to Ithaca, NY with my son for his college audition. We were making great time. And then the car suddenly overheated. The temperature outside was below zero. AAA towed us to your shop. Our good friends, also going to Ithaca, detoured to pick us up and we left the car in your shop overnight. From the moment we walked in the door we felt well taken care of. My car came into the shop completely dry. No coolant, no oil, nothing, in spite of being checked just the day before. It could have been a number of things, ranging from a minor repair to a major event. Stephanie was knowledgeable, thorough...and honest. Stephanie knows what she is talking about. We felt like she really wanted us to be back on the road in a safe car. And that is what happened - at a very low cost. Not only that, but when we came to pick it up the next day, Brian gave us a ride to a diner so we could get something to eat while they took one more look to be safe. They even offered to pick us up after we ate. Aside from giving clear, informative updates, Stephanie sets a positive, friendly and honest tone at the front desk. We saw her interacting with a lot of customers, calmly answering every question in detail. That must take a lot of energy. I mean, nobody is happy about bringing their car in for repairs. And it was busy and late in the day. This could have been an awful experience. Well, it was pretty exhausting but we met some good people, and we got back to NYC... Through a major snowstorm...safe, tired and in good spirits. Thanks Pep Boy.

All in all the total came to around $2300. At that price I wanted to get another opinion. After a few days, I was told it was fixed and was charged 100 dollars. I spoke with the owner/mechanic Richard, and he explained to me nothing major was wrong with the front end, but he did rotate and rebalance the tires, which in turn eliminate the shaking. I paid the man cash and told him my daughter would be by later that day to pick up her vehicle. The vehicle sat a few more days before she drove it again. This same morning, she asked me to follow her to work as a precautionary measure and as she was driving and I was following, I noticed one of her rear tires was wobbling uncontrollably. I flashed my lights to warn her to pull over immediately. I inspected the tire and wheel for any loose lug nuts or other visible problems but found none. Fortunately for us, we were not far from O'Neill Highway Auto, so we slowly limped our way back there. The garage was not open yet, so we left the car behind. I stopped by when they opened to hopefully get an explanation for what had occurred and he suggested maybe the rim was bent. I then questioned him by asking how this could be the case if he rebalanced the tires like he claimed he had done. At this point, I was upset and responded by telling him he owed me 100 dollars. This did not sit well with him, and he went from mild mannered mechanic to psychopath in about a millisecond. He screamed and cursed at me stating, "I don't like your F'N attitude" and told me to "get the F out of here". We went back and forth with some name calling which ended with no real resolution and me out 100 dollars. He wanted me off his property immediately for simply questioning his work. I removed the vehicle from the premises but still in need of repair. To conclude, do NOT trust this A** Clown to work on your car let alone any of your loved one's vehicles. You may regret it. And certainly, never, ever question his work...you might hurt his feelings. I WILL give Richard some credit though. He said he fixed the shaking at the front of the vehicle, which he did. He fixed it by moving the problem to the back end. WAY TO GO RICHARD!
