Just went through the drive thru at this location because we have not had Jack in the Box in such a long time. I wanted a Jumbo Jack, plus we just received those coupons with our weekly circulars. Works for me--satisfy a craving and add some savings. It's been years since I've had a Jumbo Jack. When did they switch to a brioche bun? So fancy... back in the day, Jumbo Jacks were sloppily made, with the small meat patty a sad piece of lettuce and tomato consumed by a bun, and wrapped in paper. Now they come in a container, meat is proportional to the bun, and I got two slices of tomato and a nice lettuce leaf. Drive through went quickly. Service is to be expected at any fast food joint--quick and just quick. This place seems to always be a hit or miss. Just recently I was here ordering in the drive thru with family and our experience was very poor. From the moment we ordered through the microphone, to the interaction with the man working the window, to the point where I had to park and walk in because they screwed up the order, this place left a bad taste in our mouths in terms of service. As usual, food tasted good, albeit very fast food-ish if that makes sense. I rarely ever go to eat at Jack In The Box because of how unhealthy and not fresh everything is, but the night we came was an exception due to my family member arriving late at Long Beach Airport and needed something in her stomach. I know, it's fast food and, to most, it means it shouldn't even be considered food. BUT, when service and food is consistent instead of crappy one day and glorious crap on another day, then I'm impressed enough to review them. The bf and I have parked here before to get food. Big mistake, and never doing that again. Basically, there's very few parking spaces, and there's only one way in and one way out without damaging your car or private property. We had to go around the drive-thru with very angry looks coming our way when people thought we were cutting in line. Or maybe they were embarassed to be in the drive thru line, I don't know. Anyways, we made that mistake of parking 5 years ago, and have only done drive-thru since. The bf tends to get those ultimo tacos, or a chicken sandwich, or the grilled chicken salad. I mean, whatever you get, it will NOT be healthy. Every time he has had their food, no issues with the order, and it always tastes good. For me, I've had a number of their sandwiches, but they are super salty! So, I either go with a basic cheeseburger, stuffed jalapenos, or a salad. Price-wise, it's fine. Fast food is cheap and is bad for you, so you're getting what you paid for. Service has been crazy awesome. You HAVE to give props on whoever is running the drive thru window because they are normally doing 3 orders at once, moving and talking and reading all at the same time. If it's past 9 pm, I think it's only one person that has to do all of that without any assistance, plus maybe even make the food. We parked in the parking lot "around" because the guy at the window didn't specify that we had to fall back in line?!? So we waited 10mins and no one comes out, so we fall back in the line. Why would I review this random Jack in the Box? Because it's the only one that ever gets my order right, no matter what time of day. During Lent, I make it a point to come here if I can't find anywhere else with a quick fish fix. The best part about ordering the fish and chips here? The real "chips" I order the plain potato wedges instead of fries. (no cheddar or bacon or anything - yuck.) and it's always cooked fresh and crisp. Perfect! Most other locations will charge you the full price of a bacon/cheese order, but not this location! Just ask them to "sub small chip" and they'll take care of you ;) p.s. the fish really is pretty good here. Better than McD's next door. The guy at the window at night is always unpleasant. He ignores you when you say thank you, and last night when we were there, all the employees were outside, and he yelled at me, because I couldn't hear him ask me to wait. The food is usually good, when they get the order right (which is the only reason they get 2 stars, rather than one). We almost always have to go back, because they leave stuff out, so remember to check your bags before you leave. They also never apologize for messing up your order, and never do anything to make up for the inconvenience. read more

I hold in my hand the Golden Chalice and it is filled with the most mind blowing, perfectly mixed chocolate syrup to vanilla ice cream ratio. Then the all important creamiest/thickness straw test; yes, you know the one where you try and try to get that first sip of shake but your eyes start to bulge and your cheeks start to concave as they meet in the middle of your mouth but you know if you stop now you will never taste what awaits you at the end of that perfectly sized straw. So with one last little bit of air you have you try with all your might and it hits. First it's cold perfect creaminess awakens your mouth then your tast buds start jumping for joy as the taste of the delightful chocolate awakens them. On my lunch breaks I drive here to pick up a quick meal. When I order it's pretty "fresh" meaning nothing is wilted or soggy. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich today for lunch and the chicken was crispy, light, and flavorful. The sandwich also had tomatoes and lettuce that were fresh. Their teriyaki chicken bowl with egg roll combo is pretty good too. Big serving size and hot. The service at the drive-thru window is good and I always get my food pretty quickly. Great place. I come here often when pressed for time or heading home. For Breakfast I normally get the Breakfast Platter. It is always scrumptious and filling. However, if I am not coming for breakfast I order the Homestyle Ranch Chicken Club. It is my absolute favorite thing on the menu. Each bite is heavenly. The workers are nice too. I took off one start because multiple times they have messed up more order, but in the end they always fix it and everyone is happy. Love this place! read more
