Over the course of my life, I've had hundreds of burgers. It's when I have a burger that I don't really enjoy that I can appreciate what it is that I do want. What I'm realizing is that In and out is my standard for what a burger should be. It's not just about the beef. It's the balance between meat, bread, vegetables, and sauce. Because I care about the balance, I choose a cheeseburger. My wife likes it more meat heavy and she gets her cheeseburger with spread only. If she had a bigger appetite, then she'd probably get a double double. I like to get a whole grilled onion and chopped chilies. The ability to customize the burger in these ways are the other not-so-well-kept secret to the in and out experience that I love. I can get the balance I'm seeking. 1/13/26 Redeeming my gift card, my first time here, amazingly Lived in Lakewood for more than 29 years & I think I have not eaten at this In N Out location. For a Tuesday night (8:45) it wasn't busy & didn't wait too long to order & get our food. Perhaps it's not so busy that I've noticed it is one of the cleanest location to date, almost spotless, even the women's restroom. Comparably, the burgers are a tad smaller than the ones in the Inland Empire locations. The fries were pretty good except for half of ours were a bit more hard/burnt so I exchanged it for fresh ones in no time. The drive thru is really busy as per usual. Parking is bit smaller than expected & they have to compete with Chick-fila next doors. This location is in the Long Beach Town Center. It was a great visit because it didn't feel too crowded, food was good & my environment is clean. Thumbs up, y'all! read more

A trip out to LA is never complete without a staple stop at INN-N-OUT burger. I went through the drive-thru and ordered the #3. All the employees were super polite and everything tasted great. It's definitely one of those places that you have to enjoy the food right then and there. Sit in your car and eat or sit outside at the restaurant. Hadn't eaten here in quite awhile, but hubby and I only had time for a quick bite so this was close to home in the Long Beach Towne Center and we were pretty sure even with a long drive thru line we could order inside the store and get served fairly quickly. Found a parking spot close to the door. We ordered a regular cheeseburger, a double double and a double meat protein style (lettuce wrapped, no bun) - all with grilled onions. I am not a fan of their fries so we passed on that, and just ordered waters for our drinks. The staff is always friendly and they do a good job. There were a few tables dining in and a few folks ahead of us ordering. Our order was ready after a short time, and everything was correct. They are always a bit messy to eat with the thousand island style sauce they add, but the flavor of the meat was fine and the lettuce fresh on my wrapped burger. Their little peppers packed quite a bit of heat this visit. Just a basic burger, but stione of the best deals around and an easy, fast meal when we need it. Despite this being one of my usual favorite locations, today has changed that. Last time I was here, I got a stale burger, which was already unusual but noted. This time, I ordered a burger and a fry and went up to the window. When I got to the first window, I forgot to get a side of pickles so I asked for one, which I get is sort of bad to do at an In-N-Out. However, it's not like I ordered a whole separate burger or something. Just a side of pickles. It was confirmed. I drove to the second window and was asked if I wanted to ketchup. I said yes, ketchup and salt please. I saw the attendant put the ketchup and salt on top. They gave me the food and gave me a super burnt top bun. I asked if they could replace the bun and that is when the extra problems started. They took the food away for a few seconds, and then came back with what looked like the same bun. To keep the flow, I accepted the food and parked and went back inside. I took the burger in and asked for a separate bun. It was already questionable that one of the attendance had a grin and started chuckling when I asked about the bun and asked some other attended to handle it. They said that they would remake the whole burger, but I told them I really didn't need a whole burger I just needed the top button. So they agree and give me a bun. When I get to the car with my burger and bun, I noticed that the ketchup and salt that they originally put in the box was no longer in there. I didn't take the whole box with me and I didn't inspect it carefully when I left the second window, but how petty. I asked for a replacement of a super burnt bun and you guys take away the ketchup and the salt? And I have to go inside to redo it? Boo. Too many In-N-Out to hit this one up again. read more

Splashy and Thin Drive Thru - 4 #1"s burgers animal style, 2 animal style fries, 1 reg fry and 2 milkshakes. This Place has never failed me..........but........... This time around the milkshakes were so soupy. When the milkshake spills around in your cup like milk in a saucer. I drove to the entrance and walked in to explain that this is not normal and the staff argued with me. This is not good. The manager told me that this was a normal consistency. Normally you could buy a milkshake and wait a few minutes to even get a draw on the straw because the milkshake is thick. Bad service. We asked the young lady for ketchup and yellow chili peppers. We also asked for a box (normally they ask if we'll be eating in the car). When we got the order, The soft drinks were about 3/4 full. Only 2 napkins. To top it off, the chili peppers and ketchup were missing. We had to walk all the way back to request ketchup and they gave us a bag with ketchup for like 20 people. Was this a joke? Such a waste of resources. Our food ended up getting cold. Snacking in Long Beach, California... After the concert at the Orange County Fair, I thought that I should get a snack because I had kettle corn for dinner. Located at Long Beach Town Center, traffic wasn't too bad. However, when we left, there was a super long line of cars! It pays off to leave a concert right away! I ordered a #2 combo, which has a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. I forgot to ask for "fries well done". Shucks. They would have been better if they were crispier. I did order chopped grilled onion, but they were in a clump - not spread evenly over the toasted bun. Oh, well... my bad. I did enjoy my Dr. Pepper and refilled my cup before I left. (I drank the refill for breakfast!) This was a busy location, and maybe the customers leave their mess. I had to wipe the crumbs off of my seat first before I sat down. Put in a HUGE order for teenagers of 50+ burgers and fries - Lauren (took the order) and Bryant (gave the order), and the whole team at In-N-Out ROCKED!!! They got everything correct and knocked it all out in less than 20 minutes! And while we waited for the order, everything - including the bathroom, was clean, and Lauren restocked all of the drinks and straws, napkins and condiments. Dumb dumb for years I have come here always got the double double animal style. Years ago I got blasted because apparently if you ask for animal style you don't have to ask for grilled mustard? I don't know and you don't have to make me fill like a dumb a-- just give me the yum. Oh and on the fry's keep the cheese and give me the spread and onions thanks the staff helped me realize I didn't need to ask for grilled mustard on an animal style burger. I think one of the things that I like the most is the majority of these locations are always clean with a very helpful staff not to mention that they still have crushed ice. For this particular location, you have to manipulate a lot of traffic figuring out how to get to it unless you're willing to make a U-turn but once you get there the facilities plan all the employees are nice. The food is good. The restrooms are clean and they have the lemonade which I will drink because I prefer Pepsi And they have Coca-Cola so overall ambience is great. read more

I love my In-N-Out, however, the parking situation here is no bueno. What makes it even busier is that it is located next to Chick-fil-A, adding fiery competition in the fast-food industry minus Sundays. I arrived right before the rush hour for dinner. Parking was easy to find, however, when I finished my meal in the restaurant, the drive-thru line had overtaken the lot. My car was blocked by the massive line of vehicles trying to order to-go. I'm glad some people were generous for me to wiggle my way out of the parking lot, however, it wasn't an immediate leave. The food here was good. I ordered a Whole Grilled Animal Style Hamburger with a side of French Fries, and they got my order right. There's been times when the cashier missed my order. As a SoCal native, I'm very familiar with the delicious food of In-N-Out. My go-to orders: two burgers (instead of a double-double because I like the meat to other stuff ratio better that way), plus light well or well done fries for that extra crisp. This location was clean, had fast service, and was family friendly - there were high chairs and stickers for the kids, and the cashier also offered to have our hamburger cut in half or in quarters to make it easier for the kids to eat. Minor downsides: no changing station in the bathroom, and limited parking (due to sharing parking with Chick-fil-A and a car wash, current construction taking over much of the Chick-fil-A parking, and the In-N-Out drive-thru cutting through a good chunk of the parking lot). read more

This is truly the worst In-n-out we have been to. We were in the drive-thru line for over 35 minutes. Once you're in it the line here, you are stuck or I would have left. We were given fries in one bag, had one as we are driving away and they are already cold. Thought some were a bit warmer. Got home and some of the burgers were extra salty and the buns were burnt. Not sure if it was really bad night, but even my kids said this is the worst in-n-out we've ever had. The service here is always fast and easy and your food is cooked to order unlike other burger joints .. Can't go wrong with a double double and some animal style fries and wash it down with that delicious pink lemonade that they got, if you're feeling brave and feeling hungry, do yourself a favor and get the 4 x 4 can't go wrong with that beast either. Place is always clean. Staff is always smiling and food comes out pretty fast. What more can you ask for? Whenever I have a craving for a fresh burger with some good animal style fries, this is the only spot to go to satisfy this craving. I also just went to the 75th anniversary event in Pomona and that thing was pretty cool too. Ambiance was too loud due to in n out allowing baseball team and parents after finishing there food to socialize when I got there there was no tables. Even the handicap table was occupied by someone who wasn't eating and sitting alone, service was bad due to them not kicking them out after they were clearly finished eating but taking up space in the already small dining in area. This In N Out Burger location is my favorite one to go to! Just came here recently with my friends and it reminded me of how good this location is. This is the only In N Out I have been to that actually toasts their bread on both sides and the fries here are really crispy.
