I was picking something up nearby, and this Taco Bell wasn't too far away that I was willing to stop by this location to see how it would compare to the other locations closer to me. It was Taco Tuesday, and Taco Bell does this cool thing called a Tuesday Drop where rewards members could get a nice reward, usually for $1, for that day only. However, you have to be quick because only the first 20 or 30 thousand would be able to claim this reward, which usually drops at 2 PM PST. This time, it was unprecedented because the Tuesday Drop could have been claimed anytime by all rewards members after 8 AM that day, a one-off for Taco Tuesday. That day, it was an Enchirito, normally $3.99, for $1. I promise, the deals are usually better; I've gotten a Chicken Quesadilla, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Burrito Supreme, Chalupa Supreme, and even Nachos BellGrande all for only $1 each! This Taco Bell is located on the northeast corner of Palo Verde and Stearns, right off the 405 freeway. If you see Mexihanas Hibachi Grill, that's where Taco Bell is. As a matter of fact, those two are the only businesses in that corner of the intersection. Parking isn't very spacious here, but they do have a drive thru if you do have trouble finding an open spot or if you just want to remain in your car. I took my chances with parking there by electing to pick up my order in store as opposed to the drive thru. I figured if the parking lot there were full, I could park by Del Taco, cross Palo Verde, and pick up my order. There were some cars there, but I found a few spots open when I arrived at about 7 PM. It was a couple minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and an employee asked if I was here for pickup. I answered affirmatively while giving him my name, and he said my order should be ready soon. Meanwhile, another employee was placing mobile/pickup orders on the Mobile & Delivery Pickup shelves by the front counter. The shelves were unattended, so anybody could have picked up anybody else's orders. Luckily, when my order was ready, it was literally handed to me. I was also told that sauces and napkins were on the counter behind me. In my online order, I requested one of each sauce to go with my Enchirito, so I picked up one of each sauce from that counter. Little did I know there was a whole bunch of sauces inside my takeout bag! I've had this happen before, so don't be surprised if this happens to you as well. For my Taco Bell orders, I usually swap out the seasoned beef with either potatoes, black beans, or beans. Since the enchirito would already have beans inside, I went with the potatoes. I also like to request fresco style, where the heavy dairy is replaced by pico de gallo. If I'm ordering a burrito, I also request grilled, which can be done at no additional charge. For the enchirito, a portmanteau of burrito and enchilada, you can request fresco style, but not grilled. The enchirito was presented in a compostable container similar to that of a Chipotle burrito bowl, but the lid was also compostable. It also seemed sturdier so that it would be less likely to buckle under heavy weight. I hadn't had an enchirito from Taco Bell before, so it was nice to try, especially for only $1 in this day and age. It pretty much is a mix of an enchilada and a burrito that if you've had both individually, but not the enchirito, you're honestly not really missing out. It was also smaller than I expected as the photo on the menu made it look like it'd fill the entire container when really, it only filled about half of the compostable container. There was a good amount of sauce that smothered the enchirito that honestly, I didn't even need any of the sauce packets I ordered! lol in fact, I struggled to sop up every drop of sauce with the tortilla. Service was decent from the employee who handed me my order. I didn't get his name, but he seemed pretty cool, especially for fast food standards. I asked for a fork and a knife so that I could keep my hands clean while eating the enchirito, and he didn't hesitate to fetch them for me. They have plenty of tables inside, including four tables for two where each of those tables has an outlet, and you can get some work done here as well, like at a coffee shop, if you so desire. There is also a kiosk where you can place your order if you'd prefer not to interact with an employee. Did I mention how close this Taco Bell is to the 405 freeway? If you're planning to head north, the entrance is just right there on Palo Verde. If you're planning to head south, it gets a little trickier; you'd have to turn left on Stearns and hope there's no vehicular traffic in both directions. Overall, while Taco Bell in general doesn't deserve 4 stars out of 5, I'll happily give this location 4 stars out of 5. I enjoyed the enchirito enough that I'd get it again if it were a Tuesday Drop deal, but wouldn't recommend paying full price knowing I could get much more out of a Luxe Cravings Box for only twice that price. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could Don't ever patronize this Taco Bell. Their manager apparently doesn't care about their customer satisfaction ratings, because we ordered 12 crunchy supremes and they gave us 12 soft tacos instead. We did not discover their mistake until we arrived home. I'm allergic to wheat and can't have soft tacos. We called to ask them if we could get a replacement for the order and they said no, because we ordered soft tacos. We did not order soft tacos. Then they said we would have to pay the difference between the orders if we wanted replacements. It is their fault we needed replacements, so this was not okay either. We should have had them for free. When I called back to complain, the manager said it wasn't really an inconvenience to me and that we ordered soft tacos. We did not. He's a liar. And he would not let me talk; he talked over me and interrupted me, so I hung up on him. He does not get to decide what inconveniences me. This would have sent me to the hospital. Don't patronize this location. The workers are idiots and the manager is worse. At minimum, we should have received a refund. read more

I ordered a Cantina chicken bowl, steak fries, and 3 tacos for my family. It was a pretty big order so i wasn't expecting much. but by my surprise, It was AMAZING. Freshly cooked, nice workers. right off the grill. they filled my bowl up to the top. I am greatly impressed by this meal. read more

The WORST enchirito EVER!! We had one last month from a different Taco Bell and it was amazing! In the regular black plastic carton with a clear lid. Drove thru this one today and got this.... First they came in these ridiculous cardboard trays, almost no sauce with a stupid Taco Bell sauce pack next to it. I've had a bad experience at this Taco Bell before with their mini taco salad. It only had beans and sauce in it, no cheese, no lettuce, no tomatoes. I actually ordered No Chipotle sauce and it was drowned in sauce. TERRIBLE! I should have known better!! read more

Amazing experience the young man serving us tonight is amazing. He walked out our mobile orders to us (we had three) and he even thanked us for coming by. Mind you it is 2:19am we placed our orders so last minute and they were so fast. Truly amazing customer service. Give him a raise or something it's well deserved. read more

My sister ordered 5 soft shell tacos for me through their drive thru. She came home with hard shell tacos. She didn't check in the bag before she drove off because the bag was folded at the top. There is an expectation that when you order food, that you will get what you ordered and paid for. Unfortunately this Taco Bell missed the mark on that. read more

I cannot believe how pathetic people are today. My grandson and I went to this Taco Bell around 9pm. We noticed the bean burrito was not wrapped up like it should've been. And what we saw was horrifying, one of the employees took a bite of the bean burrito! I felt bad for my grandson because he was hungry. This is a health concern and should be taken very seriously. For one, what sort of people are preparing our food. Second, if their mentality is that it's fine to take a bite of a customers burrito, what else are these freaks doing in the back. We ordered our to go/pickup dinnertime meal from this location (Stearns) Sunday evening via the phone app. Order and paying went well, but upon arriving to pick up our order, was asked to park and wait (wasn't the usual busy), which defeated the purpose of ordering in advance. When our order was (purportedly) ready, it was incomplete, which required additional wait time. Our volcano tacos and burritos tasted good, but were sloppily made. The purpose of this review is to inform management of timing issues, lack of attention to detail, seemingly no staff urgency in preparation, as well as correctness unverified prior to giving order to customer (pre-paid). Most of my friends used to lived in the area and I would pick them up and swing by here after clubbing. So glad that they are still here. This used to be my go to Taco Bell whenever I had the craving. But as of tonight, I'm never going to step foot here again. Once again I received food different than what I ordered. Over the last few years the service has gone from ok to downright terrible. 4 of the last 5 times I've been to this location (and probably similar ratio for the last dozen or so times) they have either omitted items I've ordered, incorrectly made items, or just given me the wrong order completely. It wouldn't be an issue if it was an occasional thing - people make mistakes from time to time. But this has been consistent repeated offenses, and now they have lost a long time customer. read more

Ordered the same thing Ive ordered for years-steak soft tacos. For some reason a steak soft flour taco doesn't actually come with steak. To make it a steak taco, I had to pay a special upgrade charge. I called Taco Bell customer support but they can't be bothered to actually respond.
