This is one of the few places in Key West where the people greet you with a smile. My girlfriend and I shared the lightly blackened Mahi Caesar salad and (4) Mini burger sliders. Both were very flavorful and we finished everything to the last bite. The place inside looks nice and clean, with dim lights over the table, just enough to feel right. Surprisingly very good food. We were roaming the streets pre-sundown watching and wanted to grab a bite before. Jack Flats from the outside looks like a great sports bar, large, big TVs and we thought we would sacrifice quality for a fun accessible eatery as many other places seemed crazy busy. Quite simply the food was great, the AHI tuna appetizer was very unique, slightly breaded and flash fried with raw center and a nice dipping sauce. We had their Wings two ways and they were very plump and juicy, mahi tacos were perfect (ample fresh mahi and nice slaw). Two thumbs way up. Enjoyed the Key Lime beer. Great service. read more

Typical sports bar, but of course, on Duval, in The Keys. I cannot think of a better place to watch basketball if it's not live. :) We happened to be vacaying in Key West when Duke Basketball was on, so we wanted to find a sports bar to watch the game, rather than in the hotel. Great atmosphere for drinking beer and watching sports. If I wasn't watching sports, I probably wouldn't venture here for their food. My wife and I ducked in for a bite and were pleasantly surprised by a very cool (temperature) and inviting sports bar! Upon notifying our server of my nut allergy, the mgr. came out to discuss alternative suggestions. Very nice! I ordered their bacon cheeseburger w/o bun and my wife got a nachos appetizer, and while my side salad was big, the cheeseburger was enormous! I was later informed it contained 12 oz. of meat! OMG! The food here is your typical sports bar food. You could find somewhere better to eat BUT their margaritas are one of my all time favorites.

We've been going to Jack Flats for many years - over a decade. This year we ran into a lousy hostess. We told her we had 13 with a wheelchair, and she just said "No". Thinking she misunderstood, I repeated we have thirteen. She rolled her eyes and replied "we're full" despite two open tables in plain view that could have accommodated us with nobody waiting. I told her that was just rude, and then she said she could seat us if we split us up (which she had not previously offered). I get that employees and housing are in short supply, but that's no reason to settle for employees that steer business elsewhere. We won't be back. read more

I was with a group of 5 25 year olds for a week in Key West. We went to Jack Flats three nights out of 7 to watch the NBA finals games. We only ate there for 2 and were very impressed by the food The buffalo shrimp, tex mex rolls, and california shrimp were all great appetizers. The reviews don't do enough justice, this place was phenomenal! The Jack's cheesesteak was out of this world.

Loved it. Went two days in a row. Lived here all my life and never been here. First day had the appetizer shrimp and a side of Caesar salad with a tea. Came to $15.99. Not too bad. 7 shrimp come in the appetizer. The next day I had the appetizer fish strips. Very meaty and tasty. My sister had the sliders, my daughter had the hot dog and my cousin the shrimp and bacon club. All of them were satisfied with their food. Prices are very reasonable. It's air conditioned but with open doors to the steeet so you can see ppl walking past outside. There's a ton of tv's with different sports shows playing on both sides of the room. We'll be back again as I'm from there and visit often. read more

There are several things to like here one being we could walk in off the street and were able to sit immediately. We had been here before and enjoyed the ambiance- it seems to be a local sports bar and most of the patrons are not fall out drunk party people, although I'm sure they show up later . We stopped in around 7 pm. The staff were super friendly, the prices reasonable and the portions were huge. I had a steak salad and was only able to eat half. My spouse had a sirloin steak with potatoes and broccoli. I didn't try the steak but the sides were spot on- and yes, there are ways to ruin mashed potatoes. My hub finished off dinner with key lime pie which he said was quite good. The drinks were reasonably priced (I had a lemon lime concoction and he had a margarita) but to me, both we too tart for my liking. We drank them anyway :) read more
