17. General Tso's Chicken Dinner Combo
Sonia M.

My go to Chinese place. Food is always delicious and the dinner combo portions are filling. Food is served fast and the staff are pleasant.

Jack Chen II has decent Chinese American food, as with most Chinese restaurants owned by Cantonese or Fujianese, once they stray from their own classic dishes into szechaun, Hunan or Shanghai the flavors are okay but authenticity is completely lost. Still in all, this little take out restaurant is worthy of a stop by if you are in the area. A very nice pleasant lady at the counter takes you order and food is delivered very quickly. I have a Jack Chen's closer to me so I would go there on most occasions, it is nice to know that quality is similar in both places.

Order confirmation.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I placed an order online received a confirmation email and order number. And after an hour and a half went by I called and they said they never got the fax of the order! Even though when I told her (Stephanie), what my address she was she was able to read off what my order was. She asked me where I ordered from, I said off the website (https://www.jackchen2restaurant.com/) She then proceeds to tell me that you have to call them and they will handle it. So I called the number that was on the order receipt and that women asked if I had talked to the business. In which I said yes and they told me to talk to you. She goes okay Ill call them. Some time went by and I called back the restaurant in which Stephanie says I can put your order in now for you. I said okay and at this pint it should be free. She goes no, you have to pay still. I then stated that I just waited hour and a half for a 20$ order that you screwed up on and you still want me to pay. I'm sorry but that is not how you do good business. Especially for the fact that not once was there an apology.

Lame fortune cookie !!!

I spent close to 33 dollars and I got burned chicken, and my son's food had a hair in it, the worst Chinese food ever.

The fact that they aren't listed on the big ordering apps just adds to their charm and you know you're getting an authentic Chinese take-out experience. The restaurant is run by a lovely married couple who are both incredibly efficient and friendly. What really sets them apart is their personal touch. Even if I disappear for a while due to work, they still remember me by name whenever I return, which speaks volumes about how much they care for their customers. The food here is fantastic. My go-to dishes are the chicken wings and the egg foo young. They are always perfectly cooked with amazing flavors. The shrimp with broccoli is also done very well, with fresh, crisp veggies and plump shrimp, and their crab rangoons are some of the tastiest I've had in town, crispy on the outside with a creamy, flavorful filling. Every dish I've tried has been made with care, and you can taste the quality in every bite. One thing I really appreciate is the convenience. There's a large parking lot, which is a huge plus in this area, and the restaurant is located in a plaza with some shops, so you can walk around and browse while you wait for your food. If you're looking for a consistent, family-run Chinese restaurant with great food and welcoming service, Hong Kong Garden is it. I can't recommend it enough for some good old American Chinese take-out!

It has been eight years since my last yelp review, and I had been enjoying my retirement. Until I…read moreordered from this place, that is. I hate to do it, but here goes... I ordered the "beef stick" -combo. I was greeted by two small, burnt, and suspiciously shaped beef teriyaki skewers, atop a pile of shockingly fluorescent yellow pork fried rice. Had I spilled any of this rice on myself, I could have worked as a flagger at the nearest construction site. The pork chunks, on the other hand, were whiter than a 1970's mustache at a disco club. One chunk looked so much like chewed bubble gum I removed it for inspection to discover it was "just" gristle, thank god. There were also two chicken fingers, clearly fried in oil dating from the Nixon -era. The chicken itself was chewy and sinewy. The only duck sauce came in packets, and it tasted like high viscosity, salty water -- who uses duck sauce packets these days anyway? But that's not what I'm here to tell you about; I'm here to tell you about what happened ten minutes later. My stomach became a veritable symphony of horrors. The sounds were akin to a butter knife in a sink disposal. I knew what was coming, and come it did. I spent the next few hours in a type of suffering I wouldn't wish on an enemy as the old, greasy, fluorescent food rained hatred down upon my stomach. I finally retreated to the couch, my body weakened and my soul defeated. Later that night, due in equal parts to my low IQ and my short memory, I decided to eat some of the pork fried rice leftovers. After all, there's no way this stuff really made me sick. It *had* to be a coincidence. Thus began my most recent self-education, for within minutes, I was once again in the bathroom praying to every deity I could think of. The things I saw that night - the things I smelled that night - will haunt my nightmares for an eternity. I'll cut to the chase: don't eat anything that looks like the food from this place. Chicken fingers shouldn't be fried in anything resembling motor oil, pork shouldn't be colorless fat globs, and rice shouldn't be the color of a school bus. I regret giving a one star review for a local business, but my stomach insists. May god have mercy upon your soul.
