This made communicating with them extremely difficult the entire time. The morning they were supposed to arrive at 9 am so I took the day off from work. They didn't show up until several hours later with no communication regarding that. The man who serviced our heater had never seen our type of system before. He tinkered with it for a couple hours and finally "fixed" it. A few days later we were without heat. We called them several times, leaving them a message, but they did not get back to us. We were about to hire someone else to come, but the next morning they finally said they would come take a look, free of charge. The man came back and ended up replacing a part. We got an invoice in the mail for that part despite the free of charge promise. Shortly after that our heater broke again so we ended up calling a different company. After their last visit and the previous invoice for the part, we received ANOTHER invoice in the mail for a much larger charge than the previous. We reached out to Chambers several times trying to figure out what that invoice was for, as their last visit was free of charge. To this day we have not heard back from them even after writing them a letter to remind them of what happened. They continue to send us delinquent payment invoices and will not respond to us when we reach out to them.

Damon came out to do an estimate for us on a new gas boiler, and in the process of evaluating, cleaned out the old boiler's ignition in hopes of preventing our boiler from shutting off on cold nights at NO CHARGE. (As a side note, another company who we hired to service our boiler previously this year - refused to touch it for fears they would break it, while still billing us for the cleaning!) The proposal from Accutemp came in below some other proposals we received. The installation team was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, hardworking and respectful. Performing the work were Troy, Z and Mike. Unlike our prior experience with expert salesmen who disappeared upon selling the work to be replaced with what seemed like novice technicians, Damon was very involved in the whole process. He came by multiple times during the job and even sent the guys to do some follow up testing on the unit. Accutemp is, at best, a mixed bag. I had two heat pumps and a hot water heater installed in 2022…read moreand 2023. Since then, there have been endless problems, including a collapsed roof in the basement and waking up to smoke and nearly a fire in the attic. Some of what Accutemp has done has been good, including ductwork and providing new equipment when the other new equipment failed. But Accutemp overpromised and underdelivered on its initial proposals. When you meet with the salesman for major project, you are vulnerable. You are forced to believe or disbelieve them based on their representations and not much else. When I replay in my head the two sales discussions I had with the Accutemp salesman, I now believe he sold me a lot of falsehoods that, if I could go back and redo it with perfect knowledge, would have led me to choose another company to do the work.
