So on Sunday evening I called and talk with Doug Anderson. Per instruction I closed the gas line and water supply to heater. I was able to send pictures of the old HW heater with model number to identify correct height and water capacity of new HW tank and after a few pertinent questions was able to schedule the replacement next morning at 7:30 AM. Doug came on time with new HW heater, he was very, polite and professional with good communication throughout the replacement project. In two hours job was completed and I have Hot water to shower. The quality of the job was fantastic and takes away the old water heater and left everything in very neat and clean condition. If I could give on more than 5 stars I would.

I took a look and lo and behold the bracket was installed backwards from the installation manual and it worked fine after about 40 minutes of fiddling. I'm sure they would've kept coming back until it ultimately got fixed but this had dragged on for over a month and I wanted to get it over with. Also had them do a shower valve which wasn't quite set at the correct depth in the wall, but that's fairly cosmetic and I'm not super bothered by it but someone else could be. I'm sure others will have a fine experience with this company but mine was tough.

If you tell a customer you'll call them back, you should honor that commitment or at least let them know if there's a delay. Instead, I've been left waiting with no updates and no response. I've never experienced such poor communication from an HVAC company. Based on my experience, I can't recommend a business that is this unresponsive after the work is done. I guess they thought people wouldn't get a couple different quotes, or they bank on it. The had no issue collecting the $85 service charge though for coming out. Stay far away, they price like they don't want to do residential work.
