Great quick and reliable service for an oil change and a battery replacement…read more The reason I selected this shop was the reviews that stated that they are both reliable and honest. reliable but I do have to question the honesty. The current issue for concern and the 1 star rating is they charged my 18 year old daughter $388 for a Super Start AGM- Platinum 94RPLT battery. This battery is no more than $250 (less refund on core) at any auto part store. Here is the listing for the identical battery at O'Reilly: Super Start Platinum AGM Battery Group Size 94R H7 - 94RPLT. $249.99 Each + Refundable Core $22.00. https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c/platinum/super-start-platinum-agm-battery-group-size-94r-h7/ssbq/94rpltk I will assume this was either a honest mistake or I simply did not have full information. I will certainly change my review to a 5 star when I get a satisfactory explanation or a credit on the actual price of the battery. Mistakes do happen and, perhaps there is a very plausible reason for the battery being so much more expensive than what the advertised price is at most every retailer but I have called and emailed multiple times to get an explanation but no return email or call.

As they welded it together they used to much heat which damaged the honeycomb inside and pieces broke off inside which caused got clogging and could have caused a fire being the gas couldn't come out the muffler. I was obviously taken advantage of being i am a woman and that was completely WRONG. I am a single mother of two children and our safety comes first and obviously they were only thinking about the money and not our safety. I also brought my car to two different mechanics that said the same thing. Thankfully they refunded me back the money yesterday 2/3/22 to be able to pay for my car to get fixed somewhere else.

They came to me 5 minutes later and told me that there was a broken wire and they had to fail me. The light was still original, it was working last week, and that compartment had never been opened before. The wire was bright, shiny copper. It was clear it had just broken. They charged me $35, gave me a reject sticker, and told me they couldn't do anything. The kids doing my inspection were fresh out of highschool. Now I will have to pay probably $200 to get the wire fixed and I still don't have my inspection. Go somewhere with real mechanics and save yourself the potential problems.

While visiting Williamstown, my ailing car refused to start. The dealer I bought it from was a…read morefriend, willing to fix it or take it back. I had the car towed to Carpinello's, having been told it was a family-run repair shop. I explained that I'd like to get it running if possible but by no means wanted to undertake expensive repairs. When they failed to get in touch with me in the course of the day, I went to the shop and stayed in the waiting room for several hours to make sure I was available to discuss the work, but I never got more than vague reports about what was up and never had the chance to speak with the mechanic directly. In fact they simply replaced parts until they found what was wrong, and presented me a bill nearly three times what I had set as a maximum. When I protested, the owner was rude, vulgar, and ultimately threatening--said he would yank the new parts out of the car and leave me push it off his property. With no idea what to do (I've never had so unpleasant an experience with a merchant) I called the local police. The officer I spoke with told me that the shop had a bad reputation and suggested another garage. Ultimately I signed the car over to them rather than pay the bill, which was more than what I had paid for the car. In a final indication of the ethics of the operation, the owner's wife said as I filled out the paperwork that the good news was they wouldn't have to disclose to a potential buyer that the car failed emissions because of the way they obtained it. I don't go around trashing people--I think this is the only bad on-line review I've ever written--but I've never been so badly treated by a business. This happened some time ago, but the management is still the same.

It needed some work though to bring it to the next level with regards to maintenance. I stopped in and met Mike and his wife. They gave me a tour of the facility where I saw other high end classics that they were working on. I developed a real comfort level with Mike and decided to give him the job to help me finish the car. What a great decision! From the onset, Mike was nothing but honest and reputable. He told me from the beginning that if I wanted this car in a month, he was not the right man for the job. I told him to take all the time he needed, just do it right. Well after 4 months I received a call from Mike. The Stang was completed and ready to go home!!! When I got my bill for services I was surprised to no end! The bill was less than I budgeted for, and nothing was missed! Mike, thank you for such a fine job!! I haven't put 10 miles on it since you gave her back to me, but I am happy with what you did!!! I will be back with my other vehicles as well!!! Ed

I wish id just bought a new car instead. I paid $4000 for a 2002 VW Jetta. They told me it was in great shape and everything had been replaced, fixed etc... Maybe, but I've had it less than a year and its had multiple transmission leaks, windshield wiper motor blew and needed to be replaced, starter needed to be replaced, lower control rods need to be replaced, the turn signal electronics needed to be replaced. I cant help but think Tim and Co. took us for a ride here. I've had to put over 2000$ of work into the car in less than a year and now it needs 1300$ worth of more work done. I'm going to drive it into the ground and scrap it. Mike Johnson has always done very solid work for me BUT be very wary buying a vehicle here. Heed this warning, they will sell you a lemon and act like they're doing you a favor. 1 Star.
