I originally requested a quote from Fidel over a month ago, but wasn't able to put in an order until this week. Fidel was extremely responsive answering every question I had and was able to turn it around in under 24 hours. What really impressed me though was when I went to pick up the book. He had about 10 post-its sticking out of the book highlighting potential issues. All of them turned out to be my errors, but I really appreciated his transparency and commitment to quality and making sure I was happy with the outcome. This is a special printing studio. I inherited my grandmother's children's illustrations that were…read moredone in the 1970s in Poland that are gorgeous. I realized I want to digital archive them and didn't know where to start. I called a few places in Los Angeles, but it wasn't until I spoke to Grace at POV did I feel like what I wanted to do was fully understood. Other companies had very pushy salespeople that didn't bring up what technology was really needed to archive the artwork, Grace was a breath of fresh air. She explained the scanning options to really preserve the integrity of the work, the paper options, that we would make samples first, that even color correcting was an option. When I dropped off the test print for scanning Grace showed me around the studio and this place is very very legit. Grace herself is just a joy to work with and interract with. I felt great leaving my grandmother's work in her hands. I will be using POV for more archiving work. I find them transparent, organized and efficient and kind. Thank you POV and Grace!
