I've used J6 multiple times in the past couple of years. They capture my artworks at high resolutions for printing purposes. It takes about 4 days from when I drop of my work to receive the digital files by email. I am always provided with a quote so I know what to expect. They handle all my originals with the upmost care and are always willing to help me load and unload from my SUV. At times I've even needed assistance removing canvas from frames and rolling safely for transport and they always are happy to help. They really go the extra mile. The location is a little challenging to find. It's in an industrial work neighborhood and parking is not so easy but I manage. When I lived in LA, J6 was the best in terms of photographing my paintings and they had the best prices and Dan is really nice to work with. Then I moved to Tucson. Nobody here seems to know how to digitally capture the color blue. The one guy who professionally shoots art here says "blues are extremely difficult". I mean, this is his how he makes a living! He doesn't do too well with reds either. For a town with a big artist population, you either photograph your own work or you schlep it back to J6 - which is what I'm doing next month. If I could give 6 stars I would. Some businesses go the extra mile and are true partners; J6 Creative is one of them. UPrinting declined my order and money, based on their new prudish "no nudes policy". After WEEKS of negations and file transfers, UPrinting left me high and dry. To add insult to injury they had one of their smug, obnoxious account managers call me to harass me about the situation. At the eleventh hour J6 Creative (who had come highly recommended) stepped in to save the day. Within hours of me uploading huge files for canvas printing, they had both canvas prints complete and ready to pick up. They were also flexible on payment, which as a struggling artist is always a plus. They were polite and courteous and understood my crazy deadline. The end product is AMAZING! Fantastic, flawless, high definition photo images on white canvas. I am thrilled! For the price their work is the best in town. THE BEST. J6 are not a giant company, they're run by a few young guys with a sharp work ethic. Dan really deserves 10 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. I called in a panic the morning of a wedding. I had ordered a canvas print for the reception area through Costco and realized, because I'm not from SoCal, that I was to pick it up in San Diego! Knowing I had but a few hours before the wedding began, Dan completely empathized with situation and felt so bad that he created a marvelous 24x36 canvas matte with coating in a jiffy. He was a complete lifesaver, and the canvas looked so beautiful! Not only that, because the situation was dire, he was able to make the canvas at a reasonable price despite the rush order. Ok so I'm not an artist, or a photographer or anything of that nature, but I do have an eye for art. I can tell you right now that these prints are of a very good quality, and easily rivals or beats reproduction prints you'd find in stores, or even art galleries. The artist I'm working with narrowed this studio down based on prices. But that in and of itself wouldn't earn J6 Creative their 5 stars. Rather, it is the owner, Dan, and his dedication and willingness to put in so much effort into making sure you are satisfied with your results. Dan was able to accommodate us on very short notice, and we very flexible about how we could get work to him, and when he could get finished work back. So we came in Saturday afternoon and Dan received us and took us on a tour of the studio, while explaining what his capabilities were and what he thought would work out nicely for us. So after I got a quick fine art printing 101 lesson, he showed us some examples of prints he had done, and was currently doing, with various papers and finishes or w/e. After we settled on one, he did a test print for us (with a small fee) and we decided that some small tweaks were needed to our digital copy. Dan gave us some tips and how it would look better, and arranged for an easy way for the final prints to be done and framed without us having to come back to Alhambra too many times. I have a whole bunch of pieces planned with this, and other, artists, but I will for sure be only choosing J6 Creative as the printer. read more

I can't say enough about these guys. I'm so happy to see other folks have had great experiences with the J6 team as well. Please do not take your printing needs anywhere else. There is simply no need. Do a search on the web for your basic print shops (whether you're doing bookmarks, poster prints, business cards, et al), you will NOT find cheaper prices matched with excellent customer services. I looked at a few places in the L.A. area (UPrinting.com was one of them) and got a usual poster print quote (for 11x17 prints) at the $1.99 range. J6 not only gave me the same prints for .50 cents - yes you read that right - but the quality of the prints are fantastic and it only took about a week when all was said and done. I also printed bookmarks with them and they're just as fantastic. I'm sure they can handle rush orders if need be - they're very customer service oriented unlike most of the L.A. area print shops. I'm serious. Don't go anywhere else. It's a privately owned shop with a great group of guys working there. They deserve as much business as they can handle - which is a lot! read more

However the last work was incredibly subpar. they didn't even return my original art work in an envelope like they usually do; didn't even hand it to me. Additionally she wrapped the print horribly like some cheap poster. When I asked about the pricing going up( which I noticed when comparing previous invoices) the staff was defensive, rushing me and short. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
