We ordered a specific style of shirts for our nonprofit's pre-sold event, trusting a local printer…read moreto get it right since I wasn't on-site to check the shipment. The printer later confirmed that I had ordered the correct style, but they printed women's sizes instead of unisex shirts, which our members had paid for. The tags didn't make this clear, so our volunteers began distributing them before the mistake was discovered. The printer's first "solution" was to claim the shirts were actually higher quality than what we ordered and offer either a 10% discount on a future order or 15 of the correct shirts -- far short of the number we originally ordered. They ignored the fact that our members had pre-paid for a specific style and left volunteers to manage the fallout. Had they accepted their mistake immediately, there is no reason they shouldn't have been able to reprint the shirts so we could have distributed them during our multi-day event. At one point, they suggested we return the misprinted shirts, not to fix the mistake, but so they could destroy them. They repeatedly framed the situation as a retail-style return/refund issue, implying our volunteers or members "took" the wrong shirts, even though this was entirely their fulfillment error. After multiple rounds of back-and-forth, they finally agreed to reprint the correct shirts. However, when we received the corrected batch, two shirts were misprinted, completely omitting the event logo on the back, and one had a hole in a seam. Because of the delays, we had to mail the corrected shirts to members well after the event at our own cost (over $350 as we had attendees from as far away as Germany), losing money on shirt sales and creating extra work for volunteers. At a certain point, it wasn't worth continuing negotiations, so we accepted the reprints at a loss. While the shirts themselves are fine, the fulfillment, communication, and proposed solutions caused unnecessary stress, extra work for volunteers, and financial loss. Anyone ordering for an organization or event should be prepared to follow up closely and push for a solution that actually meets their needs.

The time passes by and zero communication, I stop by 2 days later (sensing that my order isn't a priority) and my order isn't ready. I ask the older gentleman for my items back, clearly small orders are not a priority for this business. I can totally understand if they are focused on the big orders that take up their 10+ embroidery machines they have working - but it would be a lot more prudent to simply let their customers know they are not taking one or two piece orders .

She asked what I was looking for and gave me information on their minimum order. I explained what I was hoping to do for a golf outing at the end of the month and when I would need them. I know I was pushing it because I arrived at my decision to do this quite late in the game. AnnMarie responded to my information and told me that the workload was such that they could not accommodate my request. She also told me that she even tried to move their schedule to accommodate me but that wasn't possible. Despite their inability to fill my need, I was completely blown away and thoroughly impressed by what AnnMarie did next. She gave me the name of a competitor in Pasadena that she recommended highly. In the future, if I am in need of embroidery or silkscreening, I will make my first call to AnnMarie at Ellen's Silkscreening.

Yet, Art and his staff kindly helped me alter my logo measurements, produced digitizations for my various ideas, and have fulfilled requests for 100 items and 5 items with the same speed and standard. Though I may never really be a designer, seriously, this shop has helped me achieve one of my life's passions. Durability/Quality: I have hundreds of screen-printed and embroidered products produced by All-Around Sports and I can honestly say that after dozens of washes, the screen printing has not yet cracked nor have the threads on the embroidery come loose. In my experience, most store-bought clothing items with screen printing usually crack after a few washes and the thread of the embroidery comes out. It's been 3 years and my shirts look and feel like they just came off of the press. Speed: All-Around Sports has workflow down to a science. Really, regardless of the quantity of products, Art and his staff have always gotten the products to me on time, if not even a bit earlier. I have dropped off 10+ shirts on a Monday and have had them ready by Thursday. Insane turn-around times. Though I now live in San Francisco, I would still rather fly down and get all of my printing and embroidery done at All-Around Sports. If that does not speak to the shop & staff's merit, I do not know what does.I would recommend, and have recommended, this shop to any and all that are looking for some sort of screen printing or embroidery done in any capacity.

I had last minute printing order on Wednesday before Thanksgiving when most businesses close early or mentally checked out lol but they were there to help with my order with fast turnaround! There was a small mishap which Van fixed it right away and let me pick it up even when the shop is closed by putting the items in their locker. Van also communicated with me throughout the whole time. Excellent service. I got all my templates from Etsy and wanted some black menu cards printed and everywhere else wanted almost $1+ for "white ink printing" which by the way, is NOT necessary as it can be done through regular printing. I'm not about to spend $1 x 300 guests for menu cards people are going to glance and toss...Studio 7 was able to print on black cardstock and it looked just as good and served it's purpose at a fraction of the price. Also got some 5x7 signage printed on foam board that looked really polished and great with backing to stand up on it's own without having to spend $$$ on those fancy acrylic signs. Definitely check them out and support your local small business.
