Amazing stop for seafood. It's easily accessible from the Cape Cod Rail Trail (you just have to cross one busy road) and they have a bike rack/plenty of outdoor seating. We came during Sunday lunchtime and didn't have to wait super long to get our food (a god-send, considering how famished I was). They have an extensive menu of basically everything seafood. - Lobster panini: I have a soft spot for paninis. Filled with generous chunks of lobster and lots of cheese, this one was an elevated take on a grilled cheese. Bread was perfectly nice and toasted, with beautiful griddle marks, and didn't scrape the roof of my mouth bloody. 10/10! - Caesar salad with crab cake and scallops. Another must-order. My favorite part of this meal was the crab cake - so moist and dense and well-seasoned, stuffed with crab meat, no filler at all. The scallops were expertly cooked, a nice sear on the outside and tender in the middle, but I would have eaten another crab cake. The only thing I'd skip next time was the lobster bisque, which was just okay, kind of one-note, and not much lobster bits. And I wish they had bottles/cans of drinks, instead of fountain cups with no refills - my cousins/friends living in Europe would be horrified at how quickly I demolished a medium size cup of fountain soda (which, to my eye, looked practically kiddie-sized). Seating: right out front next to the road, indoors, and a back patio. If not for the bikes, we would have picked the back, which was a lot quieter and less dusty. I kept eyeing the ice cream selection but decided, in a rare show of restraint, not to get any, considering I had to bike back to the parking lot.

    Order counter

I stopped by for a lobster roll this week and was informed by the person at the counter that JT's was closing for the season after Sunday, September 15, 2024. I had been to JT's Seafood earlier this Summer and ordered the same items: a hot lobster roll and cup of lobster bisque. During my earlier visit the lobster roll was as expected and the lobster bisque was hot and delicious; however during my visit on Thursday September 12, 2024 the lobster roll and bisque were unsatisfactory. The bun was so soggy I couldn't pick up to eat it. They appear to have been short on lobster meat as they had clearly added some imitation crab meat to the hot lobster without checking to see if that was ok, which it was not. If I'm ordering a lobster roll, I'm expecting all lobster. The lobster that was there was overcooked. The lobster bisque was bland and luke warm. Clearly if you can't maintain standards you shouldn't stay open for this long into September, closing a week earlier might be better or perhaps taking menu items off the menu if you can't ensure quality. It was a very disappointing experience as I'm a fan of JT's Seafood - pro tip - avoid going there before they close for the season. Note the photos are from my earlier visit.

    Clam chowder

This was truly a mixed bag. The better parts of the meal were the clam chowder and the grilled scallops. The chowder was creamy and briny at the same time. Definitely worth getting. The grilled scallops, while not the largest I've ever seen, were nicely cooked and sweet. The hot lobster roll was close to being a hot mess. The lobster, while plentiful, was overcooked and stringy. It was quite a disappointment. The sides with the grilled scallops were forgettable, with bland veggies and puzzling rice and beans. Service was pretty good, and the ice cream was cold. It's right on 6A, so the restaurant is easy to spot.

    Fisherman's platter for two

This is good seafood. Not Dazzled up and a fair price for the food get. We went twice while we were visiting Brewster in Cape Cod. The reason we went twice was it is convenient to area where we were staying and I liked the chowder. The first visit we had the fisherman's platter for 2 and clam chowder. Lots of fried fish, clams, shrimp, scallops onion rings and French fries. Could have fed 4 people. The chowder was very creamy and good flavor. Lunch the next day was 1 pound of there steamers, a clam chowder and crab cake sandwich. Everything was good again and fresh.

Poke bowl. Well, rice and tuna bowl - A disposable bowl contains a poke dish with white rice as the base, topped with diced raw fish, sliced vegetables, and sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds. A piece of sliced avocado is placed on the side of the bowl. The bowl is placed on a surface covered with printed advertisements and flyers.

Always looking for great spots on the Cape and wanted to try JT's. Totally unimpressed. Service was slow and unfriendly. We ordered a poke bowl, chicken wrap and the luncheon special, a lobster roll for $20. Chicken wrap was the best thing we got. There was a good amount of chicken, and it was tasty. The poke bowl was just kinda strange. The good news was that it had plenty of tuna and rice. The bad news is...that was basically it. Two microscopic slices of avocado, very little seaweed, a few strands of seaweed, and no sign of any onions. Also, the Chili sauce was very spicy, and it overwhelmed the taste of the tuna. The lobster roll had an ample serving of lobster but the bun was toasted without butter. As a warning, after paying we looked at the receipt and the lobster roll was $29 not $20. There was a long line of people ordering but I went back up to ask. The counter person told me "oh, that is without a side and you said you wanted cole slaw." We said "we don't want $9 cole slaw. She just stared at me and said "that's what you ordered." We stared at each other for a bit but I walked away because I didn't want to make a scene. My mistake. But I did make one decision, I will never go back.

    Calamari with fries and coleslaw

We stopped while driving, due to the cute outdoor patio. Really friendly service, very clean, and the food didn't take too long to arrive. I ordered the lobster roll and it was a bit dry, but had nice sized pieces of lobster. The French fries were a bit greasy for my liking. My son ordered the calamari that came with fries and coleslaw. His had a nice coating and he enjoyed it, however, the coleslaw was a bit overdressed. They have a few beers on tap and my son had the Cape Cod Blonde, which he really enjoyed!

Really good food and ice cream. Able to order at the counter and they deliver. Great for larger groups with no reservation and no real rate. Really enjoyed the calamari and the ice cream (home made too). Everything was delicious, recommend

Whole belly clams, fries and coleslaw

Stopped in for lunch today and found the restaurant to be fairly quiet. Restaurant is very bright and airy with indoor and outdoor seating either in the front of the restaurant or in the back. There is plenty of parking. First time here thinking it was a regular restaurant instead of place your order and take it to your table place. Not a problem just had to make a mental adjustment. We were greeted promptly by the cashier who was pleasant and answered our questions easily. Menu is pretty extensive offering plenty of lobster, clam, and sandwich selections. We ordered the clam chowder, hamburger with fries and the whole belly clam platter with fries and coleslaw. There was a little bit of a wait for the food but not an enormous amount of time. The tray was delivered to our table by a very pleasant server. Condiments are located on a shelf in the middle of the restaurant which included ketchup (squirt bottle), packaged relish, packaged mayonnaise and bottles of hot sauce. Salt and pepper were on the table along with napkin dispensers. The burger was well done to the point of being dry and three packages of relish didn't do too much to moisten it. Fries could have been cooked longer to make them crispier. The chowder was good, wasn't too thick and had plenty of potatoes and clam pieces. Not the greatest that I've had but was ok, don't think I'd get it again. French fries, same comment as above. There plenty on both dishes but just not quite crispy enough. Whole belly clams the restaurant has no control over what quality they are getting so I can't fault them for that but the frying was a little intense in that they were overdone, couldn't find a lot of bellys, and in general were not the best I've had. Did come with a small container of tarter sauce. Coleslaw, again like the fries, was unremarkable. Given this experience I don't see another trip in the future

There were plenty of other bikers there (as well as locals and vacationers), so I figured it must be a good spot. It's one of those classic counter style seafood spots, with plenty of outdoor seating. Even with the long line, my food was ready pretty quickly. The restaurant had an ice cream counter, but I just stuck to the seafood. I went with half fried shrimp and half fried clam strips with fries. Lots of fried food! I preferred the shrimp over the clam strips because I found them to be a bit too breaded, but that's common. I would for sure come back again. Only thing that could have been better would have been if the restaurant was on the water!

I went for their current advertised Lobster roll special at $23.99. Ordered Exactly as advertised and was charged $25.99. I asked first if it was all claw and knuckle or if they use tail meat too. Oh, definitely both , she exclaimed! I found one small mangled piece of tail at the bottom and it included a sharp piece of shell that hurt my tongue. I told them and showed her the shell. All she did was explain how they try to get it all but they just can't sometimes. I looked at her and said that they aren't doing it right. I asked if she was going to offer me a partial refund and she refused. The Lobster bisque was not a bisque and I don't think there was any lobster in the kitchen when it was made, much less in the pot!! Cole slaw was covered in spicy pepper and neither of us could eat it. Fries were meh! My husband had the fried scallop platter and they were overcooked and super greasy. Disgustingly so. I DK why people like this place but there are so many good places around here where you can get a full service meal, in a real restaurant cooked by real trained chefs and served by professionals who know how to make consumers happy. Total bill with tip was $84.07!!! For a crappy meal with no service and not a clue about customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this garbage.

What stands out: Some of the Peruvian / Colombian offerings are fantastic. Staff have a deep sense of kindness and hospitality. Even though they close at 8 p.m., they not only took the Pardner's just-under-the-wire order, but didn't rush us in the least. It wasn't until we'd finished and were on our way out that we noticed the hours -- and that we were 20 minutes past eight. The lobster ceviche was a touch spendy for the price, size, and the amount of lobster included in the dish. But it was very tasty, Peruvian in style and garnished with cancha and sweet potato, just the right amount of heat and acid. Empanadas were, I think, Colombian in style, made out of orange-tinged masa, beautifully deep fried with juicy innards -- wonderful. Tacos were made out of a soft flour tortilla and a hard corn taco shell, I guess not unlike a Taco Bell "chalupa." It was not what the Pardner was hoping for, unfortunately. There were two tacos to an order, which averaged out to be $9 or $10 a taco. Probably a bit steep for those of us who are lucky enough to be in a place where good south and Latin American food is more commonplace. This is the kind of menu I want to get to know. Not everything is to our own personal tastes, but there are some things that this place seems to do very, very well. I'd like to come back for those.
