First visit and we went for lunch. We were greeted by Pete the owner, very friendly. I liked the vibe of the place it felt cozy and comfortable. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap which was excellent, tender pieces of chicken with the fixings in a delicious dressing. My friend had the South Western Salad which tasted great after she had cleared her plate she was using my French Fries to dip in the dressing! Highly recommend. read more

After learning that Pete's Point had re-opened after a visit to the bike shop next door we have visited twice in the last week, once to sit in the dining room and a second time at the bar. Both times the food, drink and service were excellent. (George & Mary are great at the bar!) At the bar I had chicken quesadillas and my wife had the chicken gyro. Both were large tasty portions. In the dining room I had prime rib, again a tasty large portion. Since re-opening one nice touch is the sprucing up that has been done with a comfy Cape Cod location theme that works well. I loved this place before it closed and so glad Pete's back and in charge, They repainted and spruced it up, but still have the very fun Cape's town names over each booth. Revamped menu and was sad that their amazing Tuna sandwich was not on it. Best tuna sandwich I ever had, too. Oh, well. My friend and I both ordered the Chicken Quesadilla 'appetizer" as our lunch. The wait was longer than expected, but boy oh boy, was it worth it! OMG! Crispy on the outside-not a bit greasy-large strips of marinated chicken, perfectly seasoned adorned, with sauteed onions and green peppers, with melted cheddar jack cheese oozing all through it. Not overly cheesy like most are, but enough to compliment all the flavors together. Another big thumbs up for not adding extra salt and black pepper to everything! It was so delicious, we asked to speak to the chef, who is French and previously worked in South Beach, Fl, a foodie mecca and many 5 star restaurants compete for patron's love. The Food & Wine yearly competition is held there and widely famous. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention our server, Emma, who was adorable, very pleasant and eager to please! For a quick lunch I think this place is fine. My friends said the chowder was pretty good. I had the crab cakes and they weren't too bad. My fiancé had the pulled pork nachos but was disappointed there was not more meat in them. I think we all came out saying it was okay. Maybe we will go back again and give it a shot for dinner. But for a quick lunch while out shopping or just to do something different I think it's fine. It's very rustic inside with a dining room separated by a half wall into a bar area. I love this place! After my friend recommended it and I saw it had only 2.5 stars I was skeptical, but then I went onto the Cape Cod Restaurants group Facebook and saw many people recommended it, so I agreed to go. Teresa was an insanely fun and kind waitress and from the moment I walked inside I felt part of a family! We had the pretzel with beer cheese, potato skins and buffalo wings and drinks. The food has gone downhill in the past month+ and the prices have increased considerably. Soups are no longer homemade. No longer takes credit cards since the new owner took over. The bathrooms have a very bad septic-like odor that they try to disguise with fragrant sprays. The friendly waitstaff of the past couple of years are no longer working there.... read more

Lunch with my favorite sister! Shared the stuffed mushrooms which were fantastic. Stuffing was super flavorful and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Ordered the meatloaf after being assured that it was excellent especially on a cool rainy day and it was the right choice. Three thick, juicy slices with a great brown gravy that enhanced the mashed potatoes as well! Sister ordered the ribs and was very happy with the choice. Both of us took the leftovers, not something we generally do, and warmed them up for dinner! Thanks to our personable waitress Mo C. she definitely helped us make great choices. Had the worst meal at this restaurant. My prime rib was raw . Sent it back and it was no better. By that time the side dishes were cold. Strawberry shortcake was horrible. After having my meal ruined there was no compensation on the bill. The waitress saw that I did not eat my meal but offered nothing in terms of apology or compensation. They could have at the very least taken the horrible dessert off the bill. Will never go back. Horrible food and customer service. They should have never served a raw piece of prime rib!!! read more

Good casual restaurant featuring a traditional Cape Cod menu!

I can't recall how we found this little place but I feel like it's a hidden gem. A humble exterior and location gives way to a cozy and friendly environment. It is also easy to quickly see that the clientele are older. And wiser. The bar is usually full with patrons who clearly know each other but it's not unusual to see a lone diner enjoying a cup of their wonderful chowder. Each time we have been there, the same waitress is competently managing the high tops in the bar area; you know the type when they do it so efficiently and make it look easy with a pleasantness to boot. The high quality of food is consistent and we always hear other patrons exclaiming about it while we enjoy our drinks and food. You can tell who the first visitors are from their comments of surprise. The great food is unexpected from this little unassuming place. And you can always hear their delight and promise to return. Ok, the food! We have marched through the appetizers and the sandwiches and the entrées and will take many many more visits to complete the list. Oh well! Fried fish choices are always crispy and moist on the inside, the perfectly seasoned onion rings make others pale in comparison, stuffed quahogs are filled with generous chunks, the crab cakes are wonderful and held by a binder that doesn't mask the beautiful oceanic taste, and the cole slaw is perfectl. Your choices from the home style entrees and sandwiches are no exception to their execution of great food. I called for a takeout order of 2 quahogs to go. I specifically asked if they were homemade, fried or baked and if they had linguisa in them.. I was told that they were not homemade, that they were baked and they had linguisa in them... I got home with 2 of them for 16.00 and saw that they were fried in a fryolater and they were ALL BREAD... no clams no linguisa.. horrible.. if you are going to lie then don't lie to a Chef.. the woman at the front was very nice explaining other things on the menu.. but if you have to lie to get customers then I won't be back‍ read more

I am a local person and will never go back . I was treated horribly! I ordered the special cod with tomato basil and mozerella. Although it was tastey at first half way rgrough my meal I discovered a hair that was cooked into the cheese and basil. Of course I could not finish my meal . Thewaitress came over and askedi if I would like to take the rest home? I told her I could no longer eat it and showed her the hair On the plate. S he replied she did not blame me and took the plate away. I assumed she was showing the manager. A short time later she brought the bill and said there was nothing they could do for me but give me a free desert.,seeing the bus girl that was handed my plate had thrown it away.I replied Idid not want desert and that I was not paying for the meal in full. went in for dinner with my friend. ordered a patty melt special for $16. came with fries. Patty melt did not have grilled onions and was basically a hamburger on bread. they charged me $18 on-the bill, yet it was $16. we ordered two Cosmo drinks at $14.50. they charged us $2 each for ice on the side. after dinner we ordered two glasses of white wine that they charged us $14 each glass. No wine list to be found, didn't expect it to be that expensive for wine. Asked to speak to the manager who was the bartender. She was rude and argumentative. Another waitress verbally attacked us and said we had to much to drink, if that were the case than after two drinks the bartender over served us?? The whole thing was a shit show and the manager asked us to pay the bill and leave and said not to come back. We were completely appalled and taken back with how a manager and her wait staff could treat patrons paying good money for food and services deserved. we will not be back again. Look, it's a pub, it's not a 5-star restaurant. We made reservations for 10 people and when we arrived they tried to separate all of us. We told them we had called at noon for a 6:30 reservation and they had us wait and tried. We helped them out by putting a few tables together. They were busy and I believe there were only 2 servers...We got Roseanne Barr. Well her name was Theresa but just imagine Roseanne Barr waiting on you. She began to take our drink order and my wife asked for water, and she replied, I'm not handling that right now honey, let's get the drink order. I ordered a diet coke and thought I was going to get backhanded...We all came in for the prime rib, which we were told FORGETABOUTIT...They just ran out...Ok, so we are not a difficult brood, and we saw some steak tips come out so we ordered them...Well, I tried to order the TENDERLOIN, and, guess what...THEY DON'T HAVE TENDERLOIN...It's on the menu, but Roseanne told us they don't have it, don't know why it's on the menu...ok, I get it, CHEESEBURGER, CHEESEBURGER, HAMBURGER! I swear, I thought we were in an SNL skit. The food came out and I must say the tips were very tasty and plentiful. Roseanne came back and asked us if anyone wanted another drink...because she wasn't coming back....AND WE ALL PROMPTLY ORDERED A DRINK...oK, by this time we had been joking with her and she seemed to enjoy being in character so we were having some fun with her.
