Chapin's has a great location with great food. Our server Emily was fantastic & went above & beyond to make us feel right at home.

Restaurant is great inside, nice bar. Only tried the chicken parm flatbread which was good. Saw the tuna tacos go out which looked great but no pic. Would definitely go back here--- right next to Mayflower Beach and fills up quick. Valet outside starting when they open.

It's known for the restaurant, but in the back by a higher parking lot they also serve soft serve. They have plenty of flavors to choose from, and combine flavors. The ice cream is amazing, and I can recommend the Amaretto or the German Chocolate Cake combined with Vanilla. Definitely worth the try when your visiting one of the beaches close by.

The band was great very good music. The bar area, and drinks were good, but the Nacho appetizer, and the Fish Tacos were not so good.

Set in a beautifully preserved farmhouse that is more than 200 years old, right along Route 6A, the restaurant feels both timeless and welcoming from the moment you arrive. The food was remarkable. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, from the seared dayboat scallops with piccalilli to the braised short rib, all paired with an impressive and well curated wine selection. Each course added to the experience and made the evening feel special without ever feeling overdone. What truly elevated the night was the hospitality. Renae, the manager, along with his entire team, was outstanding. Attentive, warm, and clearly passionate about what they do, they made sure everything ran seamlessly and that every guest felt genuinely cared for. The setting itself is just as memorable as the meal. Wide wood floors, exposed beams, and the subtle, comforting scent of a wood burning stove create a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for a celebration or a quiet night out. We had such a great time, and it is easy to see why The Pheasant holds such a special place on the Cape.

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, but since we had reservations we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu and highlight the nightly specials. In the end, we all decided on the prix fixe menu, which included an appetizer, entrée, and dessert--an excellent value considering the quality and generous portion sizes. After placing our orders, our server returned with our drinks along with a basket of warm rolls and soft butter, a nice touch to start the meal. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the interior is surprisingly spacious. From the outside, you'd never guess how large the restaurant actually is. To start, I ordered the short rib and fontina arancini, which were outstanding. The portion was generous--honestly large enough to be a meal on its own. My wife began with the Caesar salad, which was crisp, fresh, and nicely balanced without being overly dressed. For our main course, my wife and I both chose the crab-stuffed sole. It was excellent and, once again, the portion size was impressive. We even had enough leftovers to make another meal the next day. By the end of the meal we were so full that we decided to take our desserts--New York-style cheesecake and tiramisu--home to enjoy later. There's plenty of parking available, and I'd definitely recommend making reservations, especially on busy nights. Overall, it was a great meal with generous portions, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd happily return

We both remarked that, because the fish here always tastes so fresh, we tend to order it every time. The menu offers early evening prix fixe options we regretted missing because the prices are wildly cost effective. We had the roasted panko haddock, prepared with roasted shrimp, citrus beurre blanc, roasted potatoes, and asparagus. It was delicious. The citrus beurre blanc leaned more buttery than citrusy, but it was still very good. The haddock was cooked perfectly. The honey mustard salmon, served with cranberry compote, roasted potatoes, and asparagus, was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. The honey mustard flavor was perhaps too subtle, but only because it was so good--we would have welcomed more of it. The complimentary bread service included several pieces of fresh, hot, crusty bread served with rich herbed butter. The bar atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, and it was nice to see so many happy customers. We enjoyed champagne, wine, and mocktails. It's great to revisit this nostalgic space and enjoy its consistently good food.

We visited Leonessa in 2023 however. We always consider this meal one of the top 5 best meals we ever had, maybe even the best. It may have been perfect timing paired with the kitchen and staff being top notch or just the way the world was spinning that night but it was 10/10. The polenta fries with the truffle aiola was a great pairing with the amatriciana we got for starters. The pork chop is one of the two best pork chops I ever had. I typical order a pork chop when dining out so I have a good list of places to order one and this one sits at the top. My Wife ordered the roasted chicken. Chicken can sometimes be just, chicken. Well, when done correctly it can be a lot more. Best chicken dish my Wife has ordered although, we do tend to stay away from ordering basic chicken dishes. Then when you add the fact that this family-owned restaurant has clearly prioritized quality food and service, The Ocean House is must go if you're on the Cape. I was lucky enough to come just at the beginning of the season. Lucky for 2 reasons. Firstly, I was able to get a reservation (I heard it is near impossible once season hits). Secondly, we got a 3 @ 66 deal for an app, a main, and a dessert. So we obviously made it a 6 @ 122 to try everything we possibly could. Apparently that deal is only at the beginning and end of season. The Ocean House has a unique Asian-inspired twist to make each dish unique and intriguing. This goes for both food and drinks. For example, I got a dirty martini with MSG?!? Never heard of that, but it worked. Food was all fresh (especially the fish) and delicious. My favorite was their Chilean Sea Bass. That's a must get. Do yourself a favor and make a resi far in advance and take in everything you can! It may be a little pricy and a little fancy - but definitely worth everything.
