Bam Bam Shrimp
Darryl N.

Really was torn between 3 * or 4*, but I will give them the 4. I feel like this steakhouse was going for more upscale and it did have that vibe. The food was good but not amazing and the drink options were okay. I think what made me go 4 was because they were not busy and the wait staff, she really tried to make it great (the best) and they had small July 4th specials like a free Bam Bam shrimp with 2 drinks and steaks had 1 free topping, which she got mushrooms and I got onions. So I will say it was a good experience, not average. The mojitos were tasty and well done. They had bread that was okay, but not great, just kind of a soft wheat roll with butter. The Bam Bam was great and tasted amazing. The steaks, we had the 10 oz Sirloins and they presented well and were cooked correctly and still hot. came with two onion rings and one side. I had Garlic Mashed Potatoes and my wife had the Plantains. No issues and everything was good. The mushrooms for the steak are a mixture, so may not appeal to those who are partial to one type. Overall an decent experience. but a little more expensive than I would have liked if it had not been for the specials. Might need to try again, but I would try others in the area first.

Cheers to the beginning of our vacation in Pompano Beach

Our first time in Pompano Beach and we just stumbled across this restaurant. First look you would think it is a chain BUT it is NOT. It is a family owned establishment and one you should definitely try. The interior decor and ambiance bring you in and right from the start you get a good feeling it's going to be good. We went on a Monday night. Party of 2. No reservation. Hostess was pleasant told us it would be 10-15 minute wait. It was just under 10. We got a nice booth in the bar area. Our server was Connor. He came up to our table promptly Started with a glass of wine each which came quickly. We shared the soup (Tomato Basil) and salad (house) appetizer. I've found when it's shown as a combo the portions are smaller, but not in this case. It was a full bowl of delicious soup and the house salad was just as large and fresh and delicious. My husband opted for the Mahi Mahi with green beans and I had the Chicken Fierro. Both were delicious. Very nice size portions Mine came with two nice sized pieces of chicken; which resulted in being boxed up to have for lunch another day. We didn't have room for dessert but the choices sounded delicious (7 layer carrot cake, chocolate cake, or apple pie with ice cream) Connor was super attentive and gracious when we asked him for entertainment recommendations in the area. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and would definitely recommend

This place was so good my opinion was the Buffalo Chicken Sliderss, they were so amazing

First time going to this restaurant There was no wait, we got seated right away. The waiter was attentive and was kind enough to get our drinks while we waited for the other person. The manager came by to make sure everything was ok. The food was great and hot and plenty, we had to wait for the mash potatoes since they were making them by scratch. The carrot cake was amazing. The restaurant is a tad dark, the lighting but it's ok in overall

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is delicious. We went here again the other night and brought others. Everyone agreed, it's yummy. The service is great and the manager Danny is amazing. The place is always clean. Oh and if you don't eat pasta they have zoodles. I get them all the time

We came here to celebrate NYE with our friends/neighbors in DBI (Deerfield Beach Island). Our group of 8 enjoyed our individual entrees, the cocktails and the Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer (reminds me of Kung Pao Shrimp). My hubs and I had our own version of Surf & Turf by splitting the Hawaiian Ribeye and Chilean Seabass. Both were outstanding. Thanks Kathy for the excellent service!

Excellent service from the manager Lindsay, to our server Ricardo Came for Christmas Eve dinner and Loretta was our server...she was a ray of sunshine. The food was soooo good and the Christmas decorations were great. We started with a spinach artichoke dip which we gobbled up. I had chicken parm with angel hair in Alfredo sauce. Not something I normally would order in a non italian restaurant but boy was it delicious. My sister had 5 cheese pasta which she loved. We had leftovers for another 2 meals. Such a great experience

Chicken Fierro

Solo dinner on Monday 12/2/24. Arrived late without a lot of research or recommendations but the hotel manager suggested J Mark's. Atmosphere, dinner and service were all really good. Based on the bartenders recommendation I went with Fierro Chicken entree. Absolutely full of flavor, super rich and delicious. Chicken was really moist, adding the prosciutto and smoked mozzarella cheese, topped with Dijon white wine cream sauce puts this dish over the top! Amazingly delicious!

Tip well.

Always good service. Always good food. Spicy Bam Bam Shrimp appetizer. Steaks prepared as ordered with fresh veggies. Delicious rolls and Caesar salad. Tasty Key Lime Pie.Yummy experience.

We really enjoyed our meal at J Mark's in our neighborhood. It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server was excellent and our food was delivered promptly. We had the Hickory Cobb Salad and Prime Rib Sliders. Both meals were very good. The prices were fair and it was great to find another local place to eat. The menu had some other great salad choices which I look forward to trying next time, although I just may have the same yummy dish again.

Great drink

From the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be a great experience. The place was clean as hell, the hostess was sweet, and the manager was engaging with customers in a fun way! Once we sat down the service was top notch. I got the chimichurri steak which was out of this world delicious. Do yourself a favor and get it with rice and black beans. I would recommend this place to anyone!

There was just nothing special about this restaurant. Average food, corporate vibe, and aggressively mediocre.

J Alexanders has better food at a commensurate price. Fairly mediocre flavor, but the 55+ community seemed to enjoy it.

Our favorites were the catch of the day shrimp, Cajun fries, Korean barbecue meatballs and Philly cheesesteak. The garlic parm fries were decent and we didn't care for the steak pieces. 10/10 would recommend overall.

Well, we really wanted to try this place. Photos and review didn't live up to the hype for us. We…read moreare not vegan, but we wanted to give it a go for a break in our routine! So we went at 7pm on a Wednesday. What's playing on TV was not available, was told to use QR code, so easy peasy. So the counter staff was pleasantly, we ordered: rabbit hole salad and the patty melt to go. Maybe should be eaten there, right away. Didn't stand up to a quick ride home. BOTH meals looked sad and not worth $50, as was $20 each, gave $3 tip for to go. Probably won't return! It's probably great for vegans who don't require quality or taste, just gut it out to remain vegan. Salad had no flavor really, it was " overdressed", just kale dressed in an underwhelming sauce. Tons of it where it was soggy. Chips of fake chicken I guess, that was flavorless. Partners patty melt was just so so. I'm sad! You ever wanted to really like something, so you force it. We love going to local spots to support folks but we demand excellence. I wasn't expecting Coopers HAWK, but wanted some flavor. It's like not even as good as Whole Foods, which is pricey like this but good. Patty melt was average, and not worth $20. The onions saved it, but too expensive for us. Fries were limp, not well made. Now I will say, we do go to dives, so we didn't need Sonness (by the way Sonness is beyond fab!). So, we can do " dive vegan" but we cant do expensive average. It survives because often the beach crowds are too tipsy or high to care, or average is OK due to being snowbirds. Im sure these reviews aren't fake, so will chop this up to a bad night for the cooks! Stop by if you are vegan, committed to this lifestyle, then its good enough. We are in good shape medically, have more allegiance to our wallet than a movement. My partner makes great, fresh salads, so I can stay home for below average greens. But if you are committed and need to just get out, try it. I think a vegan frozen meal, Amy's is better. The salad wasn't horrible, just not worth the price. $20 for soggy, no flavor. Nope! I need flavor, price, freshness mix. Also they could do better with the ambiance. When you walk up, it seemed sad. It was empty, but zero personality. They need some music, it was quiet, somewhat moodless! Even dives have a little music. Rabbits have music LOL! Wish them luck! They have been around a while, so maybe they had better days! Why show stuff on TV that's not offered, pretty photos but disappointing for us. Good news, they are surrounded by great things, Italian to the right, Max to the left, pizza to the left. And Foundry at the end of other side! Partner ate half burger, trashed it. I ate 1/4 salad, trash. $50 in the garbage. I gotta laugh as we sat in our couch, we walked in and after 10 min, the energy felt off to me. We read the menu first. I said to my mate, "let's go elsewhere" after staff said, don't have this or that. My mate said, lets see. I went along. Intuition is never wrong! Trust yout gut, give it a try! Maybe tonight was just an off night! Go try it! Maybe it will be better for you! Im sure those reviews are real but maybe that real cook was off, amd we ended up with the no talent crew!

You can really tell it's made with quality ingredients, making it one of the best margaritas I've had in a while. The salmon appetizer was equally impressive. We were shocked to be told that they "do not allow strollers" anywhere inside or outside the restaurant. Our baby cannot sit on his own yet, so a stroller is absolutely necessary. We even tried to compromise and asked if we could sit in the bar area instead, but they still declined to accommodate us. As a result, we were completely turned away despite having a reservation. This restaurant is clearly not kid-friendly, and the lack of flexibility or empathy from the staff was extremely disappointing. Customer service like this is unacceptable, especially for families with infants. We won't be returning.

If you're looking to chat with your pals, enjoy your drinks, and not feel rushed, look for a table by the bar. We were warmly greeted by our server, Marissa. She was hilarious, fun to chat with, and very attentive. She truly made our evening so special that we hope to have her as our server next time! She ensured we were set with drinks (ask her about the amazing raspberry lemon drops!) and was very helpful with my friend's food allergy. Our food came out timely.
