I went to Quinn's auto for the first time and I was completely happy with the quality of the work,…read morethe care taken of my car, and the explanations given for what my car needed. This is an old-school style shop with an owner who will give you a completely honest assessment of what your car needs..... and what it doesn't need. Also, I've been to plenty of auto repair shops, and the prices are very reasonable and fair. It's not a fancy place, but you don't need something fancy when you have car trouble. They have quality mechanics who know what they are doing and have been in the business for many years. If you have car issues, make sure you bring your car here. And they will take care of you!

Quins gets 3 stars NOT because they don't do a good job fixing your vehicle which they do, or…read moreproving their professional reliability in making sure the job is done right the first time, my story is about a possible mix up in price perhaps on their part that they didn't realize? My story is mainly about Awareness, Advisement, Cost and a real recent repair that I had done to my car by this shop on my 2006 Toyota Avalon in Dec of 2022. The starter on my Vehicle wasn't working right. I brought it to Quins for a brand new replacement. As an awareness, pricing around for a 2006 Avalon Starter replacement is under 180.00. Pretty much all mechanics will "Mark" Up that price with an additional $100.00 to 200.00 dollars then tack that on to labor costs. In my case my starter replacement and labor somehow shot up to $500.00 BUCKS at Quins? After barked a while on the phone with the mechanic on that amount being ridiculous the mechanic tried to come back with another ridiculous indication that he had to go through the manifold to get to the starter. This is why one should know their car, this is because my old mechanic changed my starter many years ago before this replacement at Quins and never had to go through the manifold to get to the starter. Matter or fact he did the job right in front of me by getting it underneath. The labor on my starter was not even close to an hour not even close to 30 mins, and I got my answer on how long the job took when i calibrated my digital car clock to the exact time of the day. This is because a lot of mechanics do the job of replacing a starter by disconnecting the battery and after I reset the clock in my car it was off by only 20 mins to me indicating the real time it took to do the job. So as an Advisement, cut your overall cost by buying the part first then have Quins put it in because then you'd only be paying for the labor. Let me conclude by saying that I think the mechanic realized he got caught in a mix up and dropped the price by 100.00 bucks when normally this job should have ended as a $300.00 and under price for my job. Between a rock and a hard place I need my car for work I paid $400.00. So yeah I would recommend Quins if I had to get something fixed on my car but note they can BE VERY EXPENSIVE if they have to get the part instead of you. Most mechanics don't want the customer to come in with the part so they can mark up the price on the part, but Quins thankfully doesn't do that offering the customer a bit more savings on the bill. 11Nov2024 Hello:…read more I cannot say enough about the workmanship, professionalism, courteous treatment received today when I brought my 2012 Buick Verano in for an issue I was having with the Thermostat. I was greeted by Gary and Michael. I explained my issue. Immediately, Michael told me what was going to be involved and the approximate cost. When I returned to pickup my car, they had installed a new AC DELCO THERMOSTAT and GASKET. They pressure checked the coolant system for leaks. They covered all bases in a thorough and complete manner. Also, the mechanic who handled the complete process was fantastic! Once again, I was a satisfied customer. Thank you! Lorraine L. Elmont, NY

Instead of treating customers with courtesy and professionalism, I felt dismissed and spoken to in an unprofessional manner. I went to this auto repair shop for a vehicle inspection, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The manager/owner was rude and disrespectful. While I was waiting, I noticed the employees standing around talking and the owner even came out to ride an electric skateboard in the front of the shop, so I politely asked if the technician had finished the oil change on the car ahead of me. Instead of answering my question professionally, the manager/owner told me I could "stay or go." I found his response dismissive and unprofessional. As a customer, I was simply trying to understand how much longer the wait would be. A little courtesy and communication go a long way, but I didn't receive either during my visit. Based on this experience, I would not return and cannot recommend this shop. I went to Central Valley Auto Repair which is three blocks down on 234 N. Central Ave. Better service. Nick's Auto was a reputable shop for many years under the original owner, John. After John sold the business and retired, the professionalism and customer service that made this shop well respected is gone. BEWARE!!

I pull in this gas station because I can see it's full service with the guy ready at the pump. As he's fueling my tank, I ask if they do oil changes. He said yes but they close at 3pm and you should go now. I pull around and jump out. After telling the mechanic inside what I needed, he jumps in my car and gets started. 15 minutes top and I'm done. I ask about what oil he used. Your car needs synthetic, which is true. Then he comes outside and pops my hood to show me where it say my oil type just so I would know. 0/30W (or 5/30W after1000k) he replies. Gas + oil change + answer questions = jackpot,
